What about the blender and the coil tapping?

The pickups sound WAY BETTER when split and louder too. see MY review up above. I bought with upgrading in mind any way so I'm changing the pickups.

if you like bright sounding guitars this is ur axe, i have the bedford and love it. it is bright and does the fender thing well but has the balls to play hard rock well. love the neck and the heel. real easy to play the high notes. it really is just a well designed guitar

The middle pu doesn't look like the poles are spaced correctly to the strings.

You can always tell when someone is lying or doesn't believe in what they're saying when their voice goes up in pitch. 4:09 "yeah..... Bob Weir, check it out". I'd say it was pretty obvious that he was not very impressed at all with this guitar, especially considering he made multiple references to how dark the pickups were. "Dark"...... don't try to church it up son, you meant muddy.

I'd go with "dull" v. "dark". These tones are not impressive compared to a ton of other options out there.

Just a bad review. No mention at all of the blending pot?? Nothing about the coil tapping?? Spent almost the whole time explaining how a five-way switch combines the pickups and how the compliment one another with a three PUP guitar...duh. I have this guitar, it's got great sounds but never heard them sound so thin and lifeless as they do here. These go from almost more mini-humbucker sounds to traditional P90s with the split, and adds more bite to the tone. The blender pot allows you to combine coil tapping configurations between the PUPs as well. Lastly, and I have yet to see any review actually dive into this, but these PUPs are incredibly dynamic and responsive, so the difference in sound between the volume pot all the way up and even backed off 10% is big. I find they go from mid-range fat and growly to more scooped and clean by doing so, which is usually the case with guitars but I've never had a guitar where that made as big a difference as with this. It really gets "less dark" as he'd say and brighter, janglier single coil type sounds when backed off a quarter or less volume-wise. That's partly why I like it: without having to use drive or boost pedals, I can get growly thickness or thinner bright sounds by just pulling back on the volume. I also find the blend POT really changes the sound throughout, so there's a lot of experimenting that can be done with this guitar depending the the sound you want. It's not for everyone, but it is WAY more versatile and better sounding than this video would suggest.
