Hello, I am new here because of your title of this video. I didn't realize that you have a Rimowa store there in the Philippines. I have the Trunk XL in aluminum and don't have a carry on yet. I am trying to decide whether to wait until I arrive in the Philippines this year and purchase either the Classic or Original aluminum carry on or just purchase here in the US. It appears that perhaps I might come out ahead to purchase over there but I don't know how much your tax will add. I just need to do the math to see if it would work out in my favor.
Hi! Thanks for dropping by. Yes we do! Rimowa has been here for around 10 or so years already. Sales Tax or VAT as what it's commonly known here is 12% and it's always included in the total.

I knew about VAT but couldn't recall if there were additional amounts that needed to be paid. Not to get too deep into it, I did a bit research and for the United States our personal exemption is $800.00. Thank you again!
You know what? In my last trip, the atendant at the baggage counter asked if my bag is Rimowa and when I said yes, she put it in a tray before sending it to the conveyor belt haha! May special treatment. But that was PH to SG. I wasn't offered that again on my flight back. Also, I think airline companies are well- informed about the prices of these luggage so the staff are trained to handle them properly, but of course, this is not a guarantee that they will take care of it and there will be no damages; it's part of traveling, but what I can say is all my Rimowa luggage are very sturdy; my Salsa luggage didn't break during transit.

That said, I think you can pronounce it as it is. Pronunciation is highly influenced by the locality so I think if you are in Europe, better to say it as Rimova to avoid confusion. :)

got my classic cabin sa rimowa Frankfurt, Germany nung 2019 and as far as I can remember, my beautiful german sales associate didn't mind naman if I pronounce it as rimowa instead of rimova😅
