Excellent! I picked up some gymnastics rings (thousands of exercises/stretches) and my 60 year old shoulders have never felt better.

You can also draw low about armpit height and then come up to your anchor point

@@TheCommonArcher when you draw low it engages your chest and back muscles. Seems to keep all the weight off your shoulders. Also it is a good spot to go to if you get stuck at full draw.

Well done. Drawing with my elbow at or slightly above my eye level allows me to use my back muscles. My arrow is pointed at the target not above it. As I get to full draw my elbow is straight behind the bow in proper alignment. My arms are where they need to be and will stay there as I lean my head to the string. My head is the moving variable. I’m not bringing the release to my jaw as I don’t want my upper body position to change. With practice you will find the sight pin is already on target. This technique reduces overall movement. No raised bow above your line of sight on an animal. No messing around trying to get scope/ pin on the animal. It’s already on the target . Little movement is needed to put the pin on the spot you want to hit.

Definitely going to try this. I can’t pull back with my elbow up at all. I don’t actually work out but I’m not a scrawny guy either. I work construction and do a lot of lifting. I could never understand how people prefer that drawing form. Guess I’ll try it at 40 and work my way up.
