More stupid idol worship, I think Kurt Russell has made some good movies and I think he's a pretty decent actor, but that's where it ends for me, I don't pretend to know Kurt Russell or what kind of person he is or what his emotional state of being is because that is all goofy speculation and we know nothing about these people except what they choose to show us. Your claim as to Kurt Russell being the best actor or whatever is subjective and no one is wrong if they don't share your taste in actors or movies, I wish adults would stop acting this way.

A friend of mine met him once. My friend worked at Space Camp, and Kurt sent his kid there one year (this was in the mid 80s). One of his jobs was to shuttle the kids back and forth to the airport to pick them up and drop them off before/after their stays at Space Camp. He'd hang around the group of kids until everyone was picked up, to make sure they all were "supervised" until handed off to their parents or whoever. When Kurt came to pick up his kid, my friend of course recognized him, and got a moment to engage him in conversation. He was indeed a very down-to-earth and "normal" person, and quite pleasant.

No matter what character he played, it was based on some aspect of himself. Even when he went of the top (Escape from N Y, Big trouble in little china) he would nail the character perfectly. It’s hard to imagine that he could pull it off, but Kurt played the most incredible version of Santa Claus🎅🏻 I’ve ever seen. The Christmas Chronicles 1 and 2 were both awesome with Kurt at the helm. He brought a style of Santa as amazing as Heath Ledger’s version of the Joker in Dark Knight. He is a sensational actor, and it’s great to see him still going strong after all these years. I’m not much of a fan of many actors or actresses anymore, but I always do enjoy watching Kurt perform. Oh, and it was also great to see his wife, Goldie Hawn playing Mrs. Claus. What a great couple!

Kurt Russell is an enormously experienced individual in his craft which spans stage, television, and the big screen. He has seen this industry from just about every possible angle. He has been called upon to change gears in the middle of projects to address problems out of the realm of his contractual obligations which he could have easily declined to become involved in, but did so purely out of his dedication and desire to deliver the best possible end product to the producers that funded and made these opportunities possible in the first place. It bears emphasis to remember in doing so, he would be forced to sacrifice some degree of energy and focus he would have spent on the roles he played as an actor. When he said what he did about Chris Pratt, he said it based on what he has seen too many times over his career and along with his proven track record you can believe it is more than just his opinion, but very likely will turn out to be a fact.

I love Kurt Russell. I love his take on movie stars and politics. His belief that movie stars should not make a lot of public displays of their own opinions. Kurt realizes that they are actors and that they are just normal people (well semi normal people) with opinions like everybody else. You know the old saying; opinions are like assholes, everyone has one and they all stink. I think that's where Kurt is with movie stars that are constantly out there jamming their political or corporate agendas down our throats ( if they're not telling us what to think about politics, they're trying to tell us what we should wear, what perfume to buy, what kind of car to drive, what diet to be on, what make-up to use etcetera. I have loved Kurt in every single role he's played, including the little wild boy on Gilligan's Island. That was the very first time I saw Kurt Russell; when i was a kid & he played the jungle boy on Gilligan's Island. I'm so glad to see people like him and Jeff Bridges getting work in their golden years. Kurt is indeed a true artist when it comes to sarcasm. He has truly turned it into an art form as much as he has his acting. Yet another reason to just absolutely dig the shit out of this guy. He seems normal especially for Hollywood types. Yeah I'm sure he has his own Hang-Ups like all of us do (everybody's crazy in their own way); on the scale of normality in hollyweird Kurt takes the cake
