I want to ...play Doctor… with her in her golden makeup. It's so hot I have no idea why.
It's almost too bad how Gamora got essentially a character re-boot because of the whole time-travel thing. Especially considering her contribution to Nebula's character development! Peter is obviously broken up about losing the woman he loved- then NOT getting her back again. But Nebula also lost a sister- the sister she had finally connected with, after struggling for so long. Then got back a version of that sister, but not the one that had gone through that sisterhood journey together. 'Old' Gamora is still kind of a bitch, and I don't like her at all. Which is a bummer, because I so liked the journey that Zoe Saldana had taken her on. We're all of us- characters and audience alike- mourning the loss of a person / character we had come to care about, then mourning again how the version of them we got back is not the one we had come to love. Nebula (as played so expertly by Karen, of course) has already had a rough life, filled with disappointments: she sort of takes it in stride as yet another one of those things- very stoic, very pragmatic. But you can tell how it's not that it doesn't bother her- it does. Just that she's been quicker to accept the facts as they are, and do the best with what life has thrown her way and just keep moving on. So well done.
Gunn is a genius filmmaker like how he explained why Rocket was the last one to hold the hands of the Gaurdians.
DC is in good hands.
I had the same thought... if he puts that much thought and care for yhe character and how it affects their actions says a lot about the director

He's since apologized and admitted it crossed a line, and that he did it just to get a reaction out of people. But some people wanted him canceled for it, and others went so far as to say the jokes should be assumed to be reflections of his actions, i.e. "he joked about pedophilia, therefore he must actually be a pedophile and should be arrested". That's really the only reason.

@@herecomesmrdarcy He actually said that he saw the world of Guardians through the eyes of Rocket, not that he made Rocket see the world as he does, however, he's the writer of the movies so maybe it's also kind of accurate to think that he put a little of himself in Rocket(and everyone in a way), and his good chemistry with Chris helped him build the relation of Rocket and Quill, and all the jokes between them and everything was partially fueled by their chemistry irl

@@mohabalserafe3795 I was literally thinking the same thing when I saw his performance. As great as the movie was in general, I feel like Chukwudi played a huge factor for the amazing reviews. He played his character so convincingly that it set the atmosphere of the entire movie to a much darker and more serious tone, which many MCU movies seem to lack, espacially recently. I certainly wouldn't mind him taking the next big bad role of the MCU even if this is extremely unlikely to happen. I just feel like Kang in comparison seems really generic. Kudos to Chukwudi, astonishing actor.

I always thought that some actress was putting on a crazy accent to sound like Mantis. Every time I'm seeing Pom Klementieff in an interview, I'm both amazed how she nailed the role (kudos to the casting director) AND that this is her actual accent. 🤣

But given the personality we see and the horror stories you hear about how some actors and directors are extremely hard to work with. I don't blame him. And look at the results, the movies are good.
