really great video! I used to catch a lot of sea run cuts in Liberty Bay, Miller Bay, and inside Port Madison - it's some of the best trout fishing I've ever done. 👍 fly fishing with a muddler minnow and spin casting with an FST spoon or Rapala floating minnow
I’m local to the area and those two rivers you fished do not have great populations of sea run cutts. If you head out to the lake ozzete area there is a much better chance. All those streams hold 15-20 inch fish
Something that could have been brought to our attention yesterday! I remember backpacking near lake ozette as a kid. Such an epic zone and we would love to make it back there for some bigger cutts.
Can you get long enough casts via Tenkara to fish the beach? All the Western fly fishers I've seen say you need massive range and stripping baskets and the like. That's too gear heavy for me so I'd love to try via Tenkara once my skills improve a bit. Any gear/rigging tips appreciated!
Can someone tell me the name of the rumble beat or song that starts around 9.57 I n the video, it'd be great to practice fly casting to that beat on a loop.
This one was a lot of work and planning to get it done so we were so happy when it all came together. This was last year when we were there so the areas we fished weren't closed yet.

Thats crazy I grew up in Poulsbo and never fished for Cutts there! Need to go back and redeem myself.

I had no idea you were from pbo! I'm from silverdale myself. What river were you finish?
No way! Lived there my last 3 years of High School.
We were on the Olympic peninsula the whole time so many different rivers that way.

Sea run cutts are awesome! Try the oyster beds in the sound sometime. Spruce flies? Tight lines!

I love the pure joy when you guys catch fish! When/where did you guys fish? Everything I see over there is closed until May 28.
