I love the bright colors, I love the maximalist decor, I love the one-story living, I love how she incorporated storage everywhere without it being intrusive. This is a terrific example of how you can make a tiny house fit your needs that aren't like everyone else's. I also love that she KNEW what she wanted, and she advocated for herself to get it. I believe she got a great value for her money here.
Everyone here making comments about her having a lot of stuff and that vs. minimalism. Minimalism isn't about living in a sterile environment... it's a mindset, not a decor. It's about taking away the things that don't serve a purpose or bring joy to your life. For some people, that includes more knick-knacks than for others. It's the getting rid of useless to you items... if they serve a purpose, they stay! She has filled her space with the things that bring her joy, like her items on the window sill and the artwork, combined with things she definitely wanted, like her rug and the shoe rack in the door. She's doing it right.
Relax Erica, I agree with what your saying. I'm a minimalist so for me all of the stuff freaks me out. I have a very close friend who lives exactly like her. That's who he is and I respect him for that.

This is one of the most individualized tiny homes I've seen, full of personality and happy memories. She's so right, the all-on-one-floor plan works very well for older knees. I'd need a little shade for the outdoor living, given the hot TX summers, but maybe she's made arrangements for that.
I love that she says she kept "a few mementos" because it is a lot more than I would have around AND YET it looks so warm and homey it is making me rethink my style! Very nice home. Reminds me of a Paris apartment.

First, I love the exterior colors. The blue and white combo remind me of the ocean. Really calming. When we went inside, it took me a bit to appreciate how she had combined all the elements to work for her. The high ceilings and numerous windows reminded me of a Parisian apartment. We are used to tiny houses that are fairly bare inside. Her fireplace added charm. The coffee bar was so European. The washer/dryer in the bathroom hidden behind the curtain was smart. I liked it. My style is different but this was certainly a cozy home for Teri. Her outdoor deck allows for guests and entertaining. Thanks for sharing.
I love how homey and lived in her house feels. I feel like for most other people they like deep clean and make it look like a staged room more than a place where someone actually lives which is totally fine, not a big deal. I just like how hers is very lived in. it paints a better picture of how someone who's a bit more clutter filled like myself with knick knacks, books, random furniture etc
I absolutely love this tiny house! And, Teri is a treasure! She has shown us that we do not have to get rid of absolutely everything we own. There are so many things that I've accumulated over my lifetime but I don't want to part with and her example proves that we can keep those things that we truly love. I'm happy for you, it's such a good solution that in place of paying a lot for rent, you've invested in buying your own space. I down-sized at 74 and wish I'd done it much sooner. Living smaller as a single woman ages is that best!

The extra details she added are fabulous !!!! She filled her home with personal treasures, I would do the same thing. First I love the layout and I like how they thought through ease especially as we grow older or even living alone. Second, I loved the clean, lived in look and it is amazing how she found a place for keepsakes that are important to her. I am jealous of the outdoor living space! It's awesome. I love some of the unique touches that were embedded into the decor and creative ways they found to incorporate them.

I love it! Everything about it, the openness of the ceiling, ground floor bedroom, washer/dryer, deck with outdoor living room. She's a little more cluttered then I am, but I love the colors and I would have a bunch of plants. I live in the desert where it's always windy, and that super-fine sand gets in, I wouldn't want to have to dust all that bric-a-brac and then trying to vacuum the carpet all the time. No matter how cluttered her home may be, she DID downsize from what she previously had. Furthermore, it's HER home. There are no strict rules about how tiny homes are decorated. This is her personal space, which she paid for, and she can live however she wants.
Love this woman and her house. Love the whimsical decor, especially the art/collections. I adore her dining table! I would personally try to create a more monochromatic lounge area, with one colour of cushions. Can have different fabrics and textures but one color. Love the chandelier/fan combo. Your taste is really lovely. I am just finding all of the knickknacks a bit busy. I might cull those down, perhaps rotate them. Love the ceiling, it adds so much warmth. The glass panel, lovem love love! One of the things that could help is a digital photo frame. That way you can have a lot of photos, not so much dusting. Your location is really peaceful. The color blue is amazing and just you. You have an amazing sense of style. The prints, the crosses, the print of the door photos. Love! Love some of your storage solutions like you closet. Perfect little tiny house. I’m always interested in the ones that have the bedroom below. I’m 72 and going up and down three times a night for the restroom I don’t think so. She laid this out so well. And $80,000 I think she got a deal.
You downsized???? LOL LOL I love the outdoor space. Blue is cool!!! I don't think, for me, that could NOT have trees around me or some kind of barrier from the other inhabitants that live around me. Love what you did with the table!! My fav is the divider glass...great touch.

I love, love, love your tiny house!! 💙 Blue is also my favorite color!! We wanted to downsize, so two years ago we moved from a 2,200 sq ft ranch to an 1,100 sq ft ranch. (I also don’t want to do steps at my age - 51 - or anytime in the future lol) But lately I’ve been contemplating us moving to a tiny house, in preparation for retirement, for many of the same reasons you chose to go tiny. Although, the thought of having to go through all my stuff & downsize again is a little scary and overwhelming!! I may need your help & expertise lol!!
This blue home has lots of creative ideas if those who own a tiny home feel they are missing space filled requirements..like the chester draws cabinet in the bathroom or the outside patio..all of the storage areas and furniture she set up..she made her spaces interact..and made it comfortable and livable..and so cute..love it👍

This is lovely and warm. I do love the minimul tiny homes, but know I couldn't be happy living like that so it's refreshing seeing a kindred spirit.

Perfect little tiny house. I’m always interested in the ones that have the bedroom below. I’m 72 and going up and down three times a night for the restroom I don’t think so. She laid this out so well. And $80,000 I think she got a deal.
Love the color, love the layout and all the custom features in her home. Still a bit too cluttered IMO but glad she's enjoying her home!

You downsized???? LOL LOL I love the outdoor space. Blue is cool!!! I don't think, for me, that could NOT have trees around me or some kind of barrier from the other inhabitants that live around me. Love what you did with the table!! My fav is the divider glass...great touch.
Lovely and cosy, it’s nice to see that she kept special tiny things instead of having her home baron and stark. I love the layout with the bedroom on the main level, I can’t do ladders myself or ledge myself in a three foot spot. Thank you for the tour ❤️

I love, love, love your tiny house!! 💙 Blue is also my favorite color!! We wanted to downsize, so two years ago we moved from a 2,200 sq ft ranch to an 1,100 sq ft ranch. (I also don’t want to do steps at my age - 51 - or anytime in the future lol) But lately I’ve been contemplating us moving to a tiny house, in preparation for retirement, for many of the same reasons you chose to go tiny. Although, the thought of having to go through all my stuff & downsize again is a little scary and overwhelming!! I may need your help & expertise lol!!
She's like a maximalist living in a minimalist space. That's a lot of stuff crammed into a small area.

I am thinking 🤔 about having a customized tiny home built. I have arthritis so the company I am working with knows I don't want any stairs or lofts.

This blue home has lots of creative ideas if those who own a tiny home feel they are missing space filled requirements..like the chester draws cabinet in the bathroom or the outside patio..all of the storage areas and furniture she set up..she made her spaces interact..and made it comfortable and livable..and so cute..love it👍
