Dual output coils do not usually need to be earthed, because one pole goes to each plug, but it is a good idea to ensure the contact point of the mounting is clean, because that is how it gets rid of heat, by using the mounting brackets as a heat sink.
The pilot circuit on my CB350 carb on that side also has a tendency to block if left for a short time. I would remove the carb and clean the pilot circuit properly, not just the jet you also need to check that the air circuit is clear. The pilot air screw and pilot jet work in conjunction to provide the correct mixture, if either one is blocked it just won't work.
Thank you. I was going to try to tackle it on the bike (only because I had not tried that before), may give it a quick attempt, but strongly suspect I will end up doing as you suggest.
Hi Ryan. Hopefully the Superdream bracket on the frame will work. Im a little confused as I thought the frame fof the scramber was from a dream and the scrambler tank is also from a Honda 400 Automatic which I understood was the same frame as the dream? Perhaps it is the XL triple clamps that are making the difference so the superdream bracket may provide the solution. good luck
seems the problem is the fork legs are now further back which is causing the problem with the tank fitting, but like you say a superdream tank extender plate and move the tank mounting pins back to match should solve the problem but then you may run into trouble with the fuel tap positioning & the carbs.
nice one! very pleasing progress 😀😀
Thanks Tim.
Your making good progress Ryan,a scramble in the ice and snow perhaps 👍
I wish, but I'm not sure I'll be riding it quite that soon.
Well done mate!
Thank you.
thats great progress !!! remember to unplug the rocker breather on the trail bike come time 😃
Good point. I would have missed that.
Keep up the good work I'm really enjoying your videos .I've got superdream 400
Thanks Trevor. Hope you are enjoying your 400.

Thanks Rick, you may well be right but figured it can do no harm.

🏍👍👍
Thanks
you only need to pull the float bowl off to get to the jets. saves taking the whole carb off.
I had not previously tried that. I will give it a go. Thanks. 😀
Please show us a video cleaning flints carb’s please, this would be very helpful thank you 🙏
Again? But seriously i can record it and slide it out as a bonus video.
@@RyansGarageUK I’d like to see a video too as my 250N is doing exactly the same!
@@janndate92 well you are sort of in luck. I sorted it today without removing the Carbs, but turned out to be fairly quick and simple ( this time)

Hi Peter, I think that it is the front fork and yoke from the XL that is causing my issues. Thank you. Ryan

Thanks Pete, it just one more challenge. Sure I'll find a fix.
