Hi Ryan, I think there's a rubber mount that is normally fitted between the tank and that bracket, not that that will alter the horizontal position I guess. Keep soldiering on Ryan. I can't wait for your next instalment.
Glad you're getting better. Advice on the tank, if you use citric acid to clean out the rust, don't leave it in too long or it will eat through the bottom of the tank. Ask me how I know this....
glad you are feeling well enough to get out Ryan - can't offer any advice on the tank but what you say certainly makes sense - for the scrambler, just don't add 4mm of paint when you paint it 🤣🤣 certainly coming on !
A bit of bike therapy can certainly be a boost hope your feeling better soon , with the tank issue I think I’d burst the bubble to see what’s behind there I’m not certain a liner alone will cure a leaky tank and they do tend to rot at the bottom first
I think your suggestion is perfectly sensible, I'm just trying to avoid purposely removing my hardwork. But i know i am going to have to sooner or later.

Thanks Tim, i will make sure to stop at 3mm thick paint. 😉
it will be rusted on the ear of the tank, guy on our forum cuts those out and repairs the tank, he done mine and i am very pleased.
Hi Steve, I'm hoping it doesn't need that, but thank you for the info. Im going to take a good look in the corners and make a decision soon.

Thank you. Very sensible suggestion.
Hi Ryan Personally id get the tank welded and then line it just so no week spots come through again, great work on sid.
Thanks Pete, I'm considering my options on Flints tank, but i am now happy with how the tank is sitting on sid.
Please get better soon we need your videos bk x
Thank you.
Just scrape the blister of the tank and see what happens Ryan,it might have been some dust during the preparation👍

@RyansGarageUK If it does leak I used POR 15 on a ZZR600 tank 3 years ago and it lasted well so far👍
Ah I see you have it there ... my mistake, sorry!
Thank you. Yes I bought the rubber mounting set a while back.
Borrow a borescope and have a look in the tank.
I had one somewhere, but can't locate it hope i turns up and then I can see into the depth. .
🏍👍👍👍
Thanks Stephen.
belt and braces think lining tank is very good idea,,
Thank you. I am leaning towards it being necessary.
interesting work , where does the petrol tap land in relation to the carbs ?
Good question and i have not checked that. I will look when next in the garage.
