Yes the TCP protocol is very versatile and stable in the same time , that shouldn't be any surprise as this protocol is the standard base of an Internet communication for more then 20 years. Very wise from Siemens part to incorporate this protocol in S7 PLCs . I am very surprise that it is so straightforward to set TCP stack in then.
I can say to be very inpatient to see some data exchange in action.

A summary video on ALL TIA communications types would be great. TSEND, PUTGET, IO COM, OPC-UA, MODBUS etc. Just an overview and explanation where they are used and advantages/disadvantages.
And from there you can refer to your other videos which explain in a more detalied on each type of communication.

QUESTION:
First, I want to thank you for all the time you put into this videos, I've gained so much knowledge from watching your videos.
The question: I have two s7-1500 PLCs that are wirelessly connected using Siemens scalance 700 WLAN access points or WAP. One of the PLCs is mounted on a vehicle that roams from one WAP to another. The other PLC (main PLC) is connected to a vehicle management system PC, it allows this PC to send/receive data to the vehicles. I am try to see/monitor how long it takes for data to travel from and back to the main PLC? Any suggestion on I do this?

Hi, ich hab gesehen das du Deutsch versteht anhand deines Paint Programms daher frag ich auch in Deutsch. Erstmal danke für die sehr gute Erklärung, dennoch habe ich eine Frage: wie ist es wenn ich das nicht Manuel steuern möchte mit der Kommunikation? Es muss doch gegeben sein dass die Passive SPS zuerst eine anfrage für die Kommunikation stellt und dann die Aktive. Wie mach ich das ohne aktiv einen Befehl dafür zu geben? Ich muss eine Kommunikation zwischen zwei SPSen aufbauen die in Unterschiedliche Projekte liegen. Gewünscht ist das Beide Programme direkt autonom laufen ohne da vorher etwas einzustellen oder so.

Looks like you're not doing videos on this topic anymore, but someone (and your videos are usually great and really well explained) should really do a video on the LHTTP library, specifically the LHTTP_PostPut and LHTTP_Get blocks! They're not very well documented and asking Siemens support they're kind of "I can't help you, figure it out yourself" 😒

Hello! I'm trying to communicate between S7-400 with CP413 ethernet card and S7-300 with ethernet connection on the CPU, these PLCs are in different projects. I am trying to use TCON, on the S7-300 a connection is opened but with an error, on the s7-400 no connection is opened. could there be any other configuration to modify that is not exemplified in your videos?

Nice video but setting that connected bit (M0.1) is not usefull i think since you only can check it one time and after that you will never see if the connection is ok. So you should be using T_DIAG instead to check connection.

Hi Delisor! The Status "7000" just indicates that the block is currently running without errors. When you make a connection between two devices it will become a "0000" for a very, very short time that we can not even see... try using a "Set" statement that get's activated when the value becomes "0000" (even one cycle is enough for the set). If the memory bit connected to the set becomes "TRUE", you know that you have a connection
i already use set, but it is never set, so the connection is never done. i use a CP343 for the connection. Could be a problem?
