Sure he came from the previous Universe but still. Mephisto is Interdimensional and realistically should exist on a higher plane of existence but nevertheless.
I had the giant sized comic,it was not to a standstill mephisto gave up after Galactus started to absorb mephisto realm, sometimes rob likes to stretch the story lol.
I remember one time Mephisto was defeated in his own relm. It was done by Adam Warlock with the Soul Gem. Adam said he is most powerful in his realm because it is a part of his own soul. However Adam Soul Gem was able to grant him mastery over all souls, so he eventually defeated him at his most powerful.

Which is a downright joke, the Silver Surfer is one of the most powerful characters in comics and he loses to character like Thor that given his vast amount of powers is a shame. He could turn mjolnir into a balloon 🎈 and then beat the bricks 🧱 off of Thor. Given all of this powers he should be a team buster. A blood lusted Surfer could defeat the X-Men, The Avengers, and the Fantastic Four by himself.

A quick clarification Rob, it wasn't actually implied in that story that Mephisto was one of the first deviants ever created, in that comic it is instead sort of directly implied that he was simply there already when the first celestial died and he essentially infected it's blood with maggots and it is implied essentially that he in fact is the one who is responsible for the deviants existence if not even more super beings. No. More so think of it as, he’s the first basis for when you’re getting to the higher levels. He isn’t weak, he’s way stronger than most characters. But when you’re getting to the higher tiers, he’s like the first level.

Actually, While Mephisto Gave Galactus A Mighty Battle in Hell, It’s important to note that Galactus eventually demanded Mephisto return his herald Nova, as he began devouring Hell. Needless to say, Mephisto folded.
To be fair, Mephisto was slowly winning their battle and Galactus was using up all his energy. Silver Surfer realised that of the battle went on, Galactus would eventually run out of steam so he sent a mental suggestion to Galactus, letting him know that he could actually consume Mephisto's Realm itself because all of the soulstuff/lifeforce that composes Mephisto's realm is essentially the same kind of energy Galactus gets from consuming planets (it's why he gets so much more sustenance from worlds with life on them). . I think you missed perhaps Mephisto’s most impressive example of his prowess in battle, when he went toe-to-toe with Galactus himself, and the entire universe was at risk as a mere side effect of their battle.
Galactus should work like basic swimming rules, if you eat, you should wait half an hour before swimming. I just think Galactus would cramp up while battling Mephisto.
Marvel Studio execs if you’re reading this, please give us Dr. Strange: Triumph and Torment. The world needs to see Strange and Doom team up to lay the smack down on Mephisto.
@@justinanderson2460 Absolutely! Can’t happen right away. Doom needs to be established as a formidable threat and we need to get a full sense of his origins. I’d say give Doom a solo movie or series, then have him battle Strange to assist him with freeing his mother’s soul from the pits of hell, and end it with them forming a sort of mutual respect for one another, which obviously will come to play down the line (*cough* secret wars *cough*).

In not sure how people would take to a Dr Doom movie or series as their first point of contact for his character and whether or not they'd be better off having him as a big scale villain initially, then focus more on him afterwards. . I personally would LOVE a Doom centred series or movie but I'm bias because I'm not only a comics fan, but a bit of a Doom fanboy as well. He's one of my favourite villains period. Regardless of that though, I thi k that eventually they will get to Secret Wars and it would be really good if they'd already established Doom in pretty much the way you're describing by then. I'd watch it.
@@justinanderson2460 definitely not as an intro. Make no mistake he’s gotta be a villain first and foremost and after that we can get more insight on what makes him tick. The easy intro would be having him face the Fantastic Four, but the way I’d do it is maybe introduce him as a character in FF but not as the main bad, and them maybe have him as the main villain of Black Panther 3 where he tries to make a claim on Wakanda in his pursuit to take their tech and take ov-I mean save the world. And of course it would heavily involve the Fantastic Four.

With a less centred role in a Fantastic 4 movie (maybe just teasing him even), they could build on this later in the Black Panther movie, and then first introduce the idea of him actually having somewhat noble goals (despite his means) right near the end as a plot twist where we find out that Bast the Panther God actually gave Doom it's blessing to try and take over much like in the comics. . That way, moving forward, he could be focussed on more individually - allowing us to discover how he only wants to rule the world because he knows he'd actually do a great job. Then you could introduce the plot point about his mother's soul being stuck in hell (possible introduction for Mephisto assuming he isn't already lined up to have something to do with Wanda and her children) to push the "he's a guy who does bad things for ultimately good reasons" angle even further and set up for your aforementioned team up with Dr Strange. Damn... should we get the ideas in this discussion copyrighted and then send them in to Marvel?? I mean, it was mostly you but still.
Well it was in Mephisto's realm and Galactus was actually gonna lose (due to running out of power) until Silver Surfer suggested he start feeding on the souls of Mephisto's realm for sustenance. That's pretty well thought out. In not sure how people would take to a Dr Doom movie or series as their first point of contact for his character and whether or not they'd be better off having him as a big scale villain initially, then focus more on him afterwards.

I personally would LOVE a Doom centred series or movie but I'm bias because I'm not only a comics fan, but a bit of a Doom fanboy as well. He's one of my favourite villains period. Regardless of that though, I thi k that eventually they will get to Secret Wars and it would be really good if they'd already established Doom in pretty much the way you're describing by then. I'd watch it.

The easy intro would be having him face the Fantastic Four, but the way I’d do it is maybe introduce him as a character in FF but not as the main bad, and them maybe have him as the main villain of Black Panther 3 where he tries to make a claim on Wakanda in his pursuit to take their tech and take ov-I mean save the world. And of course it would heavily involve the Fantastic Four.

Yeah see, this would be a great way to bring him in as a mainline villain. With a less centred role in a Fantastic 4 movie (maybe just teasing him even), they could build on this later in the Black Panther movie, and then first introduce the idea of him actually having somewhat noble goals (despite his means) right near the end as a plot twist where we find out that Bast the Panther God actually gave Doom it's blessing to try and take over much like in the comics.

That way, moving forward, he could be focussed on more individually - allowing us to discover how he only wants to rule the world because he knows he'd actually do a great job. Then you could introduce the plot point about his mother's soul being stuck in hell (possible introduction for Mephisto assuming he isn't already lined up to have something to do with Wanda and her children) to push the "he's a guy who does bad things for ultimately good reasons" angle even further and set up for your aforementioned team up with Dr Strange. Damn... should we get the ideas in this discussion copyrighted and then send them in to Marvel?? I mean, it was mostly you but still.
Pedro Pascal would make a great Mephisto in the MCU I think. On earth he’d be a charming con man but in hell he’d be terrifying

Well it was in Mephisto's realm and Galactus was actually gonna lose (due to running out of power) until Silver Surfer suggested he start feeding on the souls of Mephisto's realm for sustenance. Mephisto decided he'd rather just give up the souls of Silver Surfer and Nova (or maybe it was just Norrin... can't remember) to Galactus and then eject him out of his realm, rather than risk losing ALL of his souls.
Wonder if Squirrel Girl, aka *Miss plot armour* could defeat him!!🤣🤣
