I was in the same spot with these same cars as options . I ended up buying a 2022 Miata GSP with sport package Convertible and love it. Another option for you to look into would be a Toyota GR86 with all options . Or BRZ.
Absolutely, aside from the fact that it’s not a convertible, the Toyota GR86 and Subaru BRZ are definitely drivers cars to consider. I cover both these cars in a previous video, along with some others (link is in the description below) of potential alternatives to the Mazda Miata for under $40k. I’d be curious to hear what you think about some of the other cars covered 🤔
Before I bought my 2019 MX-5 RF GT, I had seiously looked at these 3 cars. I don't like the look of the TT; it's too boxy! I actually test drove a red 2019 Z4. It felt more luxurious than fun at street speeds. Of course, I have dreamed of having a Porsche and I have always liked the look of the Boxster over the 911. Because I have no intension of track driving, I wanted a fun car at safe speeds on streets or mountain roads. The price for the Z4 was also $25K more than my Miata & the Boxster that I specked out was over $90K. In addition, the RF version of the Miata seemed better for the winter.
Depends on how much you really want a convertible . My Rf roof stays closed most of the time and if they made a MX5 coupe I would have it . I am liking the Supra 3.0 once the Manuel comes out .Also the new z car is inviting . Would love to own a Cayman also . Would these cars be more fun than the Rf ? My 2015 gt Manuel mustang was not very much fun with 435 hp .
@@TheLemonFactor yes if I can supercharge or turbo my RF I will keep it . If not I may get a Manuel Supra . My doctor took me a ride in his tuned Supra -over 500 to the wheels and it was Uber fast and seemed to handle good . But he has over 70 k in this car . Lines get blurry as that is a nice Cayman territory. Nice problems to have ! He traded in a M2 Manuel that I did drive and it also put you back in the seat well .
There is no way you are getting a Boxster configured for less than 70K. The TT is a chick's car. That leaves the Z4. If I'm going $70K I might as well go $90K and get a Corvette.

It's difficult (for some, including myself) to justify the price difference when you consider all that the Mazda Miata offers.

The Toyota GR Supra is certainly tempting, especially with the option of a manual transmission.

You know, some say the same thing about the Miata (referring to your comment about the Audi TT) 🤷♂️
