Thanks for this review. I was comparing it with Polygon bend r2 but I am convinced Triban is much better and feasible option per price range and features
Hey Ganesh thank you so much for your honest comment, it means a lot, all credit goes to Omkar. Keep supporting our channel and share our cycling videos with your cycling group. See you soon on our ride.
Even I was considering Bend R2 before buying this... It may have slightly better components but the price difference is quite a bit. Also, wider tyres on bendr2 means more rolling resistance. The 120 gravel balances price to value ratio pretty well. You get all you that you need and nothing that's unnecessary.
Hi Omkar, Thanks for the video. I wanted to know about the brakes on the RC 120 Gravel Bike. I have the RC120 (non-disk brakes version) and the brakes on that is like a death wish in rains. I am wanting to ride the bike on an actual road to test the brakes, but decathlon doesnt let us test ride outside the shop. Can you comment on the brakes of the RC120 Gravel please?
My bike is yet to see the rains tbh. But so far the disc brakes on RC120 gravel have not given me a single moment of nervousness. Im a heavy guy myself and the bike has always remained in control on all downhills be it tarmac or loose gravel.
@@maheshdabholkar Sorry...not on instagram. I cycle 5/6 days a week.....1 hr weekdays, 2+ hours weekends. I have been using Decathlon's RockRider 5.0 (21 geared steel hybrid) for the past 12+ years. Hi there! I'm having this bike and I'm wondering if the tyres are tubeless? When I check the Hutchinson website, they offer both a tubed version and tubeless version of 700x38c and this tyre doesn't come with the 'tubeless' branding. I'm thinking down the lane Decathlon has silently replaced the tubeless one with tubed one. Could you please clarify if this version can be made tubeless? (I'm not asking about the rims, but the Tyres) Thanks
Hi.. the stock Hutchinson tyres are "tubeless ready" too. They come with a good 'lip' which sits on the rim walls well to create that good seal. So they can be used with or without tube. You'll need to change to tubless valves and add tubeless sealant to use them as tubless. However from what i observed, even the rim tape will have to be changed as stock rim tap is not good enough for tubless setup. It's alright for tube setup but not tubeless, as it should cover entire width of the rim with a good 6 inch overlap around valve hole area. Personally, I'm using these tube tyres with mucoff inner tube sealant as it works out cheaper. Hope that helps.
@Omkar Atul Desai Thanks a lot for a very prompt reply. I've been having this bike for less than 45 days and I've got 6 punctures (in two instances where a single nail punctured the tube thrice) all wothon my initial 750km of riding . I was adviced to replace the first tube and now that my second tube too has three holes, I became a bit apprehensive. How good are these muckoff tube sealants compared to traditional tubeless sealants? How often do you need to top-up the sealant? Did you have any personal instances when you saw the tube sealant functioning after a puncture. Thanks and regards
@@adityasundar324 That's a lot of punctures! I hope you're maintaining correct pressure (around 75). I got the sealant after my first puncture itself and so far #touchwood haven't had any puncture situation yet. These tube sealants do work well, from whatever i researched. For muc off, the sealant lasts entire life of the tube. To be on safer side, a thorough check and maybe a small portion of refill after a year should keep the magic alive I guess.
Does anyone have any idea about FireFox Pirate 3.0. Pirate 3.0 is around 20k cheaper than RC 120 and seems to have almost the same specs as RC 120. Honestly 60 k for this is WAY too expensive and Decathlon imo is literally looting the Indian consumer with these utterly ridiculous prices.
FireFox Pirate 3.0 is a good bike but for that range is good, if you ask me about RC 120 then RC 120 is not coming in Pirate 3.0 category, because of its components, please check again its not same, its too different and way precise. but thank you for commenting as I came to know about Pirate 3.0, keep watching and supporting our channel. let me know if you want review for Pirate 3.0. keep cycling.
