1 JR and 2JR is not the mine regiment of JDF it is 3JR, 1-2 JR come 3 JR in 1963,, if u can rem that JDF fall after the West Indies Regiment ,then independent 06.08.1962 comes JDF , Sir pls do ur research
Marlon Thomas I believe he said "main" not mine and 1 and 2 JR are the main Infantry Units ( not Regiment as you put it). The 3 units (1,2 and 3 JR) combine to make the Jamaica Regiment. 1 and 2 JR are regular infantry Units and 3 JR are the reserves. I further never recall the JDF "falling" and 1 JR was actually formed on July 31, 1962.....not 1963. I humbly suggest Sir that you, yourself go and do the research before making such misleading statements.
Not the first time fighter or bomber jets performed in jamaica at a national event. Dude need to brush up on his history. In the 1990s two British Harrier jumpjets did flyby and aerial acrobatics. They were flying across the jamaican airspace for about two days .
