@@blazingstarbbq oh it’s for the rub. Gotcha. Yeah I had a card game years back that came with foam inserts, and one of them had the actual nutrition info for a foam block on it. I thought it was the same type of thing lol.

Trust me you won’t regret it. I have worked with this company for years. I could have worked with others but bottom line they are the best in the business. Absolutely the Best!
You may have converted me to this brand. I’ve only used Fogo, and it’s fine, but JD has the whole line of product. Picked up a bag of XL lump and booms. That smoking wood is cheap as fuck, may scoop a box of whiskey once my Western chunks run out.
Trust me you won’t regret it! I only use them for one reason and that is because I truly believe they are the best!
I found three big 25LB bags at Walmart on clearance for $10 per bag. I definitely didn’t hesitate on grabbing them. Going to test them out tonight on a rack of ribs on the kettle smoker.

I use JD camping with Dutch ovens and a mini portable grill and love them.

I love The JD more than you do. Unfortunately the last 35lb bag I bought from the amazon had 8 large nice chunks and the rest of the bag was medium small pieces and a whole buncha dust. I got the pictures to prove it. I'm gonna buy another bag and hope this bag was an A nomoly because it really is the best charcoal in the world, but if half the bag is dust I'm gonna have to divorce myself from it. I don't wanna go back to the Cowboy, but I will if I have too
I have used a lot of JD and I have never ran into that experience. Your bag was probably thrown or smashed at the Amazon warehouse. If you want to switch to Cowboy after one bad experience, I’m sorry to hear that. I will continue to use JD because it is the best and there is nothing close to it.
Will the max briquettes leave any bad taste when smoking
None, they are odorless
