Best lump charcoal hands down. I originally heard about it from one of Harry Soo’s TH-cam channels. He also uses the WSM as his smoker and highly recommends Jealous Devil. I cooked an 17-18 lb brisket with the minion method and it kept right at temp for over 15 hours. Worth every penny!!!!
I love this charcoal. The fact that it doesn't smoke much is a huge plus for me living in a condo complex. I was using blues hog before (another amazing product), but the smoke was bothering my neighbors.

I am working on a video now of the jd lump coal. I really enjoyed your video. I paid 27 at ace in Ca. Pricy stuff, that’s why I picked it up so I could do a video on it. I am also doing a tri. The way I am feeling right now (as I’m cooking) I think I’ll love it as a mix with some good ol kingsford.
I agree with you mostly. This Charcoal is one of the hottest burning Charcoals on the market. Think maybe you had your rig set up for those specific temps for that roast. If you let this charcoal go it will get extremely hot (opening up the vents so air can get in). Anyways, great video and look forward to seeing more videos.
It seems growing up we (and most people) used the "briquettes" and mostly because that was all you could find. The lump charcoal has become very popular and with good reason. It looks like the Jealous Devil Lump Charcoal is a great brand. Thanks for reviewing. Stay safe!
Sadly they do not carry it at my local Ace. And they won't ship it to my local store for pickup, either. Looks like they will ship it to me, but with the shipping cost it'll be more expensive than just getting it from Amazon.

I found you end up using less than other brands and it can be reused once if you didnt burn it down to ash. Stuff burns hotter than anything ive used

Nice setup and cook on the WSM. I'm not a fan of Jealous Devil though. To strong of a smoke taste for me. I Prefer Kamado Joe and Fogo for my taste.
