Excellent work. I’m looking into doing a little upholstery myself and this video was right on time. I learned so much from this video that’s why I’m saving it into my playlist for reference 👍🏾👍🏾
Brother is nice to see somebody take pride in what they do. Was just surfing the TH-cam looking for different ideas on how to deal with defrost vents. Yours look amazing love that contrast probably gonna steal your idea in the future just warning you. lol I lay my seams same way is the only way I can get them straight. Amazing work keep it up. Have a good day.
Man my guy Sprayway suggested your channel. This is that ish right here! Man I have always dreamed of being able to see someone doing this! Now I have to go through all the videos! Excellent work !
Thanks bro for the support. I do all forms of uphoso you may see cars boats and furniture. I like to show beginning to end process, no cuts just sped up.
I know you made this video awhile back, but I needed to comment. I've watched dozens of videos about dash repair. Not only does yours turn out the best I've seen, but your skills at making this look easy shows how much of a professional you are. Damn you're good.
Found you thru Sprayway. I too have a mutual love for box (or officially in GM “sheer look”) g b c bodies. Your attention to detail. Your quality. Your crisp well spoken voice overs. And can’t overlook your film quality all excellent. Now subscribed. I want to replace my own vinyl top on my 83 Electra for a color change from maple to black.
Thanks for your support. I am new to TH-cam but not new to the trade. It’s nice to hear that I am on the right track. My first videos lacked voice over. I actually didn’t think I sounded good so I used music to relay my trade. SprayWay got me doing his style lol and I like it
Sir magic man at spray way custom asked everyone to click you on and give some TLC and as always he was right you seem to be the boom good stuff! Thanks for the video
I just did my dashboard today my first time it didn’t come out nowhere near like that I did good but you just show me how to do it right thank you man I really appreciate it
yea hay that is nice got to say that is nice not good but dam good thanks man it is nice to see we still have some that like there work to pass on to others thanks pete louviere
Sweet! Got a new upholstery channel to tune into. It's great to pick up little tricks from experienced in the craft. I've been doing upholstery on the side for a few years now and even got to work in a high end hotrod shop but not long enough to pick up little tricks. Like the plastic sheeting and I don't want long enough for my glue to be tacky. I picked that up from your video 👍
It was my first time sewing as well could use some pointers on sawing machines for beginners in auto upholstery also top stitching and template work thanks again right on time with this video greatly appreciate it
No problem. I am always willing to give out tips and advice. You can reach me on FB business page @ Andras Custom Upholstery. I have years of work posted there
Great work Not many people re cover dashboards they usually have them vacuum formed. So I think you have a great market opportunity for the classic car market or I guess the modern market as well. Orange leather dash would look great on my 70 Challenger
Ours was a (hot shot) thire was a copper pipe about 12in. long came in handy when doing convertible tops, steam on the inside and close the doors...no wrinkles!!
Wow. Awesome work. Please keep them coming!! A little more talking and commentary and less music would be better. 😊. Not complaining though. Awesome vids
Thanks for the insight MidwestCoupe. I am definitely evolving into doing more commentary on my videos and less music. The work comes natural to me but making the videos is a process I am learning. Thanks for the support and more videos on the way
Sprayway Customs pointed me here and I’m glad I came. Wow your skill is out of this world. Do you do covers like this for people like me to glue??? I’m after a VW Scirocco GT2 1989 dash???
Absolutely fantastic instructional video! I learned so much from this. Great tips. Yes! Use a steamer...that is genius. I have seen heat gun being used and you are right, it has great potential to ruin a project. I have one question...what is the contact cement you are using? I don't have a sprayer, so will be using a brush on my project (dash surround). Lot's of opinions out there about cement. Thanks in advance Sensei!
Beyond AWSOME! I love the two tone look! Is that vinyl or leather? I regret selling my G body Olds Cutlass Sedan. It would have been a perfect candidate for a complete interior makeover at your shop. I’ll have to look you up on FB and check out everything! Happy Holidays!
Thanks Subgunman. The material was vinyl. Please do go check out my FB page. I have way more work on there than here. I wish I started making videos along time ago. Thanks for the support and happy holidays to you too
Hi there, I love your work on that dashboard. I have an 87 caprice... obviously the dashboard is cracked, what do you charge to restore these? I would love to see if I could possibly get you mine. Thanks in advance!
Dam bro u killed it! This dash looks like it came straight from the factory your work is super neat.Where are u located I wanna inquire about getting my interior wrapped in my 87 Monte. Shoot me your contact info

Man You really do a very good work with that dashboard but After I finished watching your video my eyes were dancing please don't move the camera too much.
Lol thanks bro. The dancing is the headset camera at high speed to save time. Its at 8 times the normal speed.I am normally not moving that fast.thanks for the support. Do you suggest I do a 2 hour video at regular speed? Would you watch the whole video?
its time to go mess my dash up thanks for the video loved it. question the vapor was to soften the material to fit them curves? also i dont have no pro machine all i have is my wifes little machine hope i can make it work
