Actually when this guy Larry was at the top of his game he was every bit as good as Jay Black. His tenor has a different quality, that;'s all. At least 20-25 years ago I watched a video clip of them doing Cara Mia, and he was phenomenal. It was so impressive I still remember that he was wearing a white tee shirt and horn-rimmed glasses. If anyone has that clip it would be tremendous to see again. Larry, I sang lead for a '50's group many years ago and I tell you man, you were terrific.
Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!Never new of there existense, what a suprise! What about the power?Push some buttons an it's solved!Gooood Voice!I'm gone listen more to there work from now on,glad to find them.
Sorry, Guys. Jay Black had the best Tenor vocals in all of Rock. I was there, writing Platter Chatter for the newspaper through the Golden Age of Rock, and even seeing Dylan turn electric at Newport in July, 1965, after the Lovin' Spoonful banged out "Hot Time, Summer in the City," the Cough Syrup Crowd woke up and shared a Doobie, and Dylan's new band's Roadies lugged out some big Speakers which never worked while Bobby warmed up. The Folkies went Nuts booing until Peter Yarrow came out and calmed everyone a few octaves down. It was a Helluva night in the Summer humidity, and the times really were a- changin.'
This lead does a terriffic version. His falsetto is very good but Mr. Black's version in the upper notes has like a turbo engine attached to it. It really makes all versions pale to his,
not bad ..not bad at all,, needs a bit more power behind the voice ,but to give credit where its due it was good and i enjoyed listening to it better than the [now] imitation jay renecke] but jay *1 black still rules this song
Saw the Fabulous Greaseband all over New Jersey and Philly. Larry's voice was awesome!

Did the Band ever play at Gallaghers?

not as good as jay but good
That was excellent! Better than Jay Black, better than sha na na.
He's got the range...but not the power...
OK, but his upper register can't pull this off. great effort
a nice version it is ,,,as good as jays its not
Not bad, but still not Jay Black.
sorry Larry = nice Lyric Tenor but a tad out of your range
