    Hey Remy, I have several kinds of nepenthes and all are doing well. They're in the same conditions, but one of them is getting burned lids/pitchers. Most of my pitcher plants are hybrids, so perhaps they require different conditions?

    • @WindowsillNepenthes
      @WindowsillNepenthes  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes they are all different, a hybrid between 2 lowland will be different from a hybrid between 2 highlant. ;)
      Maybe check the needs on the Nep that is burnt?

      Thanks for saying you're in Florida. I was about to ask you because watering depends on the humidity. Your humidity is probably 50% so every 2-3 days it's good. Me in Canada I would have less drainage and more watering. ;)

    Hi ! Thanks for your useful videos !! I check them every time I need to do something to my plants !!
    Yesterday I forgot to water my Nepenthes, which I have it hanging below an avocado tree in my garden, and today I found the substrate compacted, the leaves dry, stiff and somewhat deformed. I watered it over immediately. Will I have to water it more often ? Do you think it will recover ? Thanks for the info !!

    • @WindowsillNepenthes
      @WindowsillNepenthes  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It will recover for sure. :)
      To be sure, you can even put the pot in water for 30 minutes to let the substrate fully soak.
      Then hang it back and the excess of water will drop out of the pot.

    Interesting to see that you use the plastic grid under your pots! I have been using that stuff since I started growing neps; it works great!
    I had some extra laying around from making tops for [certain] herp cages, but I don't have any more. The only way I could find to buy it was in multiple large (like 3' x 5', or something like that). Do you know where I can get it in more reasonable (smaller) quantities? Thanks! -pt

    Pardon me for asking.
    Do you know why my nephentes pocket(?) Lack digestive liquid? At first it has decent amount of digestive liquid inside but there's none at the moment, the pocket looks healthy with no sign of dry skin but there's some red spot on it, is the red spot the one causing it? (My nephentes is currently growing more leaves do you think that's one of the reason it lack digestive liquid in it's pocket?)

    • @WindowsillNepenthes
      @WindowsillNepenthes  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If you are sure the liquid was not dropped (like a kid or an animal putting the pitcher up side down),
      Then it's probably too dry.
      If you have new leaves then it's not the soil that is dry, so probably the air. Do you know if your humidity is more than 40%?
      It could also be that the temperature is too hot, like more than 35°c.
      What temperature and humidity do you have?
