    See how to bleed the brakes on a Honda Rancher TRX 350. In the video, learn how to bleed the brakes manually by pumping the brake lever to push the old brake fluid out of the system. Also, see how to bleed the brakes using a Mityvac fluid extractor. It saves time by pulling the fluid out of the bottom of the system. Finally, John shows you how to properly set the fluid level in the brake fluid reservoir.

    Is the air breather tube necessary to keep connected, or can I just plug it off.

    • @keeganfoster1792
      @keeganfoster1792 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      james pruitt u should try to have it, the outer brake drum has a rubber seal, i like to grease that seal a little helps keep foreign objects out, and it theres no vent line it will have crap pour into it. If you were to simply plug it it will create a leak around the seal and let foreign objects in that way

    Trying to vacuum bleed my brakes after replacing the shoes. I notice a lot of bubbles after multiple attempts to bleed each side. Not getting much stopping power. I noticed when you were bleeding with the mighty vac you had a lot of bubbles also. Is that normal and still acceptable or should it be just fluid?

    I tried bleeding my front brakes with a mightyvac hand pump. It seems like air and brake fluid are flowing into the clear tube, after I close the bleeder valve on the brake panel. Can you tell me why this is happening? And as a separate question, do the crush washers for the banjo bolt HAVE to be OEM?

    what does it mean if I pump the master cylinder and no resistance/pressure being made; no fluid comes out of the bleeders at each wheel? I have just put on new brake cylinders and followed your directions for disasemblying the master cylinder (cleaned it as didn't get rebuild kit).

    i have a 1986 honda trx 350 4x4 and i'm having trouble with my front brakes BARELY working. I have bled my brakes *maybe not enough* put new shoes on and rebuilt my front brake wheel cylinders. But it seems as though as there to much pressure on my front brakes and they barely work. When I push in my front brakes I can't even get them to go all the way back to the handle bar. The lever moves maybe 4 inches and then I slow down but do not stop by any means. By the way i had to buy an aftermarket master cylinder, I just bought an OEM one on ebay and i'll be buying the rebuild kit. Any suggestions? thx

      But as I got older and wiser I just wanted to fix it. I did the same thing put new brakes new master cylinders and seems like I couldn't get the air out.
      What you gotta do is adjust them almost all the way out to where you can barely squeeze the drum on You might even tighten it more once you get the drum on then squeeze the brakes breaks and you will have breaks and you will be like oh my God.
      If you notice the brakes are too tight and it's dragging the 4 Wheeler just backup the adjustment a little bit until the it until the bike moves freely

      After you know you've , Blood breaks I'm sure you've blood on perfectly fine every time, most people don't realize that you just have to adjust them out, once I adjusted the brakes it worked perfectly. That being said it's not that easy To adjust but it is once you figured it out it is.
      You will notice once you adjust them out and you hit the drum you will have something in your handle compared to nothing and then go from there.

      Your back brakes are mechanical. They can be fixed with lubrication of wires and Springs new pads. It's very technical and in time consuming people give up quick.
      Front brakes are hard too because they're hydraulic and I'm actually trying to get all the air out of my front brakes, got the back brakes fixed really good.
      If you can't figure out how to get the small wire to stay put for back breaks attack welded mine
      Make sure you lubricate where the brake pads move
