In case anyone wants to know I have owned both the Predator 8750 regular generator and the Predator 8750 INVERTER GENERATOR.. The regular generator powered my "all electric" mobile home (water heater, stove, and oil heaters for winter) with no problem. I had it for several years until it went out. I went to buy another one at Harbor freight and they were out of the regular 8750 Predators. I was told by their salesman the 8750 INVERTER GENERATOR was as good. It was NOT. I had to turn my electric water heater off and not use the electric stove for it to keep producing power. It only lasted 3 uses and the inverter went out. It could not handle the same load as the normal Predator 8750 generator could..The inverter generator would go into "Over load" mode and stop producing power. It DID get much better fuel economy but what good did that fuel economy do me if it no longer produced electricity? The inverter WAS MUCH quieter. When the "inverter" module went out it cost $400 for a replacement inverter module to fix it. ALSO the replacement carburetors for the inverter generator are $70 compared to $30 for the regular generator. All replacement parts on the inverter generator are MUCH higher..If you do choose the INVERTER generator make sure you buy the $200 extended warranty. That makes the total price of the inverter generator $1,300.. According to the Harbor Freight management the inverter is a common part that goes out. A positive for the inverter generator is it's much smaller.
@@mycat8urskidoo the same one you mention on your comment the generator run is a predator 8750 inverter since the machine is also inverter so it works pretty good and they haven’t let me down yet
Does your digital display show 240v at all times or 120v? I just got one 3 days ago and it only goes to 120v on the digital display, think I got a bad one
Best tip I can give anyone is to run ethanol free gas in this. It doesn't go bad as fast as normal gas. I start mine once a month and have been doing so for 4 years without issue.
The problem with ethanol is it pulls water from the air, and you lose power to it sucks. So it's better to add some gas heat once a year unless you drain it a lot to get rid of water.
Do you know if there's any major difference from the older predator 8750 model and the new one? I was able to get 60% off a floor display model (never used) but noticed it's the 57480 and not the 59190. Am I missing anything besides the predator lettering in red?
@@1970chevelle396 regardless, I feel like anything more recently produced is cheaper in quality just because of recent stresses on supply chain. The previous model might even be more durable, time will tell.

I bought one over the summer since I run my Esab rebel and tools for my mobile welding services, all in all great machine.
Great to hear that. I didn’t get everything setup to use it yet.
@@1970chevelle396 well I hope you do man hoep you enjoy it man.
What model rebel do you have? I have a 205 ac/dc , and am looking into this generator to go mobile

Want to run my welder with a generator also, your welder runs pretty steady off generator power?
Looks like a great purchase Ken, that will work well with your mobile service you have planned.
Thanks
Still working well, looking into this generator to go mobile welding wise, have a non inverter generator now, but worried about burning up my machines
I bought it for the same reason. I didn’t want to use my non inverter generator on the inverter welders and plasma cutters.
per watt price this one seems better than the 9500. just louder.

Great video! Do I add the stabilizer to the gas when it’s in the generator? Or when it’s in my gas can? Thank you.
It’s best to do that when it’s in the gas can. Then you will know exactly how much to add.
Do you feel its loud for camp sites for a travel trailer?
This is not the generator to get for camp sites and travel trailers. You need to get one of there other models for that.
Thank you
Can it run 200 amps stick and tig welding? Thanks!
If your running an inverter based welder it can. The old transformer machines draw more amps.

I would consider getting one but no remote start...

So your a Chevelle fan, wow I love hearing that!! We got lots of same interest their!!
Yes I’m a Chevelle fan. I’ve had my 70 Chevelle for almost 31 years now.

It’s probably almost the same. A lot of HFT products have more than one model number for the same thing.

@@AnonymousGameWardenThe supply chain scares are just an excuse to cut quality and raise prices.
Great video.
As far as the gas goes, just run non ethanol. I never trust any additives.
Thanks. I’ve been using the fuel stabilizer for over 10 years. I’ve never had any problems. Without using it the gas goes bad very fast.
I thought the wheel kit was an additional option..... LMK
It comes with it. And they sell it separately.
Whats the code P399?
