I can't let all they young men come here and have all the fun. They are as Edgelord as this Gen Xer ha ha ha!. Couldn't resist a hype thumbnail like they all make either! Edited to say Thank You to all the people who have supported this video and left so many comments on how things really are here in Yangon. I was just so frustrated when I saw the nonsense yet another Hype Lord TH-camr was making up I felt pushed by something to make this video and I had no idea if I was going to be attacked. I just had to say the truth. As a small channel, it is so hard to have a voice compared to the big ones that drop in and out of here. Please also look at my playlist of the work of Jochen and Sonne so you can see all the help we try to bring to Myanmar every day to the ordinary people. I live and work here and we FEEL the people. Bless you all. We do see and care and give real help.
Myanmar is always interesting. Im here for another year. Then I will drop back from time to time to document stories but this channel has to grow and move to reflect the true nature of my international life. So viewers will learn a lot about how much I really know about the world. And I will have working internet and freedom of speech
Bless you Liza. Thank you for the tip on your money changer have booked my taxi to hotel in four weeks as do not want to change money at airport. Yes NZ has banded their cards from working in Myanmar. Will have to look into VPN. Heart breaking the current flooding. I know orphanages I have visited in Shan destroyed. Thank you again for promoting if you are going to visit, do so ethically ❤
As for someone who lives in North Shan state I am almost envious of a big city like Yangon ,Mandalay and Naypyitaw . Except for the inflation rate, no electricity 24/7 ,at least people there could live more peacefully, enjoy life and sleep safe and sound. Btw ,I missed the road you were walking (Insein Rd) where I used to hang out with my friends a lot. That's a long road you were walking past so many bus stops.I can see almost Nothing changes.
I was in Shan State. if you watched my channel you would know. In the north is hard now. I filmed people running from Lashio to South Shan for safety. And then the floods came. Truly horrible. Life is easier in Yangon for sure. And the privileged have power 25/7 thanks to generators and inverters in their homes and condos. But yes even in the rain and dark the ordinary people can sleep sound here without the worries of North Shan State. We will continue to work for you and send aid and do what we can to help. There are people here local and foreign who care a lot and send more than just 'thoughts and prayers. Thank you for writing as I know how much you all suffer through up there.
Really appreciate your support. Yangon is not Lashio! I feel so terrible for people that ran from danger to Kalaw and Taungyi and lost the little they had in the floods. Terrible that some make up fake photo shop pictures and stories for clicks to profit on misery.
Trying to get the truth out is difficult as a small account. We need teachers and ethical tourists who care and want to help. Not TH-camrs making up stuff to make themselves look cool for clicks and $$$. Some have huge platforms that could bring aid and donations to help the people - much more aid than I am able to raise with a small account.
It seems like you walk along the insein road. Ah! that reminds me of my university life when Myanmar is in good time. Thanks for touring around the Hlaing Township.
Yes as I mentioned both facts in the video. You are welcome. I get sick of visitors just going downtown and filing there and 19th street. I think they all make the same video ha ha
Thank you so much for your support. It is hard as a small channel to get the truth out. Yangon is not Lashio for example! So many teachers here just living our lives and trying to help give the children of Myanmar a chance at and education and a way out. Or many of us also doing charity work. So easy to help and bring joy and hope so why not do it???
Great video, it's been a dream for many years to visit Myanmar. I will heed your words if and when I arrive. I'm not a fan of drama queen you tubers boosting their numbers with false content and quibbling over pennies. Bless you and your peers with your positive contribution to those who need it.
Thank you so much for your kind words. It costs so little to give joy. Just now I was out filming and bought BBQ for my local street kids. 10 Sticks for 1000kts. Not even 20cents. So easy to make someone happy and give hope they are not invisible.
Thank you for your kind words and support. I try to be the change I want to see in the world and help. It costs so little. Last night I bought 10 BBQ for 1KTS for street children. Anyone can practice kindness
it's me, I was the solo traveller who was in Shan state 😅 I was actually with other Burmese tourists when the floods hit but we lost eachother during the storm 🥲
Hello, nice video. About Visa, Is it possible to have a long-term visa as a tourist? If not, is it possible to make extensions? If not, what are the possibilities to stay a year or more in this country?
School provides as part of my package. I live in a fancy condo with 24/7 power, gym pool etc. All standard for licenced and qualified teachers package. But if you jump on FaceBook you can see in Foreign Teachers of Yangon group they go into details about that stuff. Can vary widely as everyone has a different budget and circumstances.
Thks for pointing out.. alot clickbait attention seeking vloggers portrait themselves like superhero visiting just major cities. Its still okay to go around in those cities but rest of other places having serious issues
You said my point exactly in these few words. As I live and work here I do go out and see it all but of course not alone! And I film and make nice videos on life here as you can see. And I'm an old lady living and working here. Bless the beautiful Burmese people!
@@LizafromWherelike to admit something here.. I will go to a 1st world country with a better salary like most of the people.. but what you are doing there is not just job opportunities to earn money , contributing and educating less fortunate people. Incredible!

Lots of English teachers and schools in Myanmar. I am sure they can help you. Good luck! FYI I am NOT and English Teacher. I am just a boring normal teacher like you have in your normal schools here. I am licenced and qualified and I also have IB certificates so I teach in IB schools all around the world. We just use English as the language of instruction as we all speak different languages! So to go to an IB school you have to be an English speaker but it doesn't matter what language you use at home ;-).
There is a pretty popular youtube traveller Luke Damant, and I think he photoshopped random military cars and a helicopter in the air to make it seem 'dangerous' in the thumbnail.
Thank you for your valuable comment. Yes Luke is doing HypeLord disinformation. Also Chai Travel is pretty awful. I discuss in the video how they could actually be a force for good and awareness rather than Disinformation Lords profiting on misery for clicks.

Very easy to sit on the internet and to pass judgment. To try to understand and live and let live much harder.
