Workspace would've been a better deal if it weren't for the 30gb limit on their entry plan. OneDrive gives you 1 TB to start which is great for folks that transfer large files regularly or archive projects.
There’s one subject I missed in the video: AI. Maybe it differs from country to country, but in Germany, the MS Copilot is not included in the Office plans. You have to pay additionally to use it. As for my understanding, Gemini is included in The Google Workspace Plans. That alone makes a huge difference to me. Maybe worth mentioning.
As a side note. If you do use TH-cam but use another provider than Gmail for mail, you can just delete your Gmail calendar and contacts service to not be having an extra mailbox and instead turn the email address you use into your TH-cam account username and all relevant communications from Google will be sent there!
@ Nowadays I only use my google account for TH-cam and creating linked accounts. I don’t use gmail and never really have. I found out that if you don’t use gmail you can simply remove that service from your google account now and instead choose your current email address at any provider as your login name! No more having to check a Gmail account for messages from google for account security and such. I simply went to account settings and removed it. Now the Gmail address you once chose will never disappear so if you for some reason want Gmail again just activate the service in your account settings
I have both. I have thought about getting rid of 365 and Google only. I only keep 365 for desktop software. I can move to Google. Still up in the air and for now I will stay with both since I have multiple companies.
What do you do if verification is denied? It’s been 2 days shouldn’t take this long. I had to get with bluehost as that’s where I’m hosted at and they said they added in code from Google to activate email but still getting denied.
Folders are out. Search is in. I stopped using folders over a decade ago and have never missed them. I use inbox and archive. That’s it. I clean out my inbox every day and turn actionable emails into tasks instead. And the task in turn link back to the original email so I don’t even need to look for it.
I found the experience similar to Google Workspace save for the weird temporary domain. I think they’re both somewhat complicated since they’re enterprise products, but I was impressed that they both can add DNS records to Cloudflare automatically. It used to be much more complicated a few years ago.
Google isn’t even a serious player in the business space. Yes they are catching up in some areas but please. Office suite? None with Google. Having to convert document formats isn’t ideal when sharing with external parties. Google is completely lacking in device management software distribution managed security updates and the list just goes on and on and on. For a small business, maybe Google is an alternative but if you choose Google, be prepared to use a slew of 3rd party systems to manage the rest of all the things Microsoft 365 can do! Even manage Google chrome updates! Btw. If you add your custom domain and first set it as default and then add your users there is no need to go in and change username/email after adding them.
I think you make some decent points but I think you are also understating Google Workspace’s presence in the mid-market and enterprise spaces. There is a massive chunk of the market running as Google shops where integrated specialized platforms are actually preferred (Salesforce, Tableau, Slack, Zoom). I end up finding myself surrounded by mostly GWS orgs when dealing with most SaaS and other tech companies. In this environment, being emailed an XLS file starts to feel second-class in comparison to receiving a GSheet link.
@@mrvvoo Hi! Maybe this is a difference depending what country you’re in. Where I live I rarely encounter any business that even WANT Google workplace. If you’re emailing XLS files around you’re not using M365 properly. It’s xlsx files now for starters and you send a OneDrive or SharePoint link that the recipient is free to open and edit in the browser OR in the desktop app per their preference. Google sheets don’t even have a desktop app or advanced macros
@@driver288 I worked as a VBA programmer for 3 years and I can ensure that Google Sheet is much more powerful than Excel Macros because of its Google Apps Script that brings sheet automation to the cloud, that is, you don't need to open a sheet in your desktop app to start a macro, it can be scheduled or even integrated to be started from another SaaS app. The most similar feature Microsoft has is Office Scripts and it is far behind because of its limitations.
Shocking! 100% disagree! If you do a detailed analysis of the value of Microsoft plans vs Google plans they are not even close. Don't skip over the surface, dig into the specs etc.. and the proof is right there in front of you. I use to use google until I did a detailed analysis and was shocked by what I found when comparing it to Microsoft 365.
Google all the way in! Microsoft 365 is a highly desktop dependent, and it is getting behind on the integrations with other apps.

it is weird because I use gmail but for documents and sides I use word and powerpoint

What did you decide on?
@@eemotion I moved to Google Workspace. Infact I got rid of office too and went with Libre Office.

Do i need to buy a user account for each email ?
Does each user need to pay 6 per month? As a Business do I set it up for them?
Nice content. Im starting up a business and have no idea how to setup a mail server or get other business services. Are you available for consulting?
I advise getting one
Gmail has labels, Outlook only has folders. Gmail FTW

MS365 is such a PAIN in the butt to setup esp on the DNS. Google Workspace 100%

Preach! I scratch my head in confusion when people say workspace is better than Microsoft 365.

Excellent video
GOOGLE works good enough for me
Microsoft is a no brainer, you get space plus the email.
In word online you can't move pictures in document, same issue with tables, text boxes etc. 👎👎
Dude I thought you had a massive weird hat on???
teams is best except camera. google meets cams way better
I HATE 365! send out a BBC to all contacts it still shows all emails contacts. Horrible.getting rid of this and godaddy.
You could get M365 for free (25 users with dev account)
I didn’t know this! Are there any requirements to sign up?
