I love how many fighters were in this game! They basically got every single MK character at the time in here! Imagine if they did a remake of this, but also included the new characters like Kotal, D'Vorah, Kronika, and all the guest characters!
This installment in the “Mortal Kombat” franchise has the best opening scene, and it is also one of the best in video-game history. I just loved how it includes all characters introduced in all games prior, even though it doesn’t have other great characters introduced in the reboot and beyond, especially Cassie Cage.
@dylantallen1998, et al, well, to be honest, there were not really a lot of great characters that were introduced in this series after this game. Kung Jin made Mokap look awesome in comparison, and Ferah-Torr was basically a Mad Max version of how Gillius Thunderhead and Goah the Giant were from Golden Axe: The Return of Death Adder. Cassie Cage, Jacqui Briggs, and Kenshi's kid (Takeda) didn't really stand out from their parents, so, in essence, D'Vorah, Skarlet, and Errol Black were the only three newcomers to honestly be good enough to be introduced to the series (sorry Smoke-Noob, Cyber Sub-Zero, and Triborg), and, out of all of the guest characters, only Kratos and Freddy Krueger, and maybe Spawn, really brought anything new to the table. Yes, I hate to say that to Alien (Xenomorph), Predator, The Terminator, Robocop, Leatherface, Jason Voorhees, Homelander, Omni-Man, Peacekeeper, and The Joker, let alone the rest of the DC crowd, but, to be honest, they should have stayed in their own lane, and John Rambo, as awesome as he was, simply was a fish out of water for this franchise. Tremor, Dark Khan, Kotal Khan, Cetrias, Geras, and Kollector were okay, but not really memorable. The biggest tragedy was that Belokk never got made, as he seemed like an interesting character. I would envision him as Onaga's version of Goro.
@@paxhumana2015that's true, the Kombat Kids were wasted, was thinking of how MK9 and XL would have been salvaged (I hated 11, all it got good was gameplay improvements, so I wouldn't even bother thinking about its potential story improvements)
One thing I hate about this game is how one of the gameplay trailers in game shows your character wielding a sword whole fighting random enemies but it isn't available in game, probably was cancelled out last minute but yea. Beyond that this game was pretty fun to play
The way you executed those strategies was impressive, and it's clear that you have a deep understanding of the game mechanics. I also loved it kept me engaged from start to finish. The editing was top-notch too, with smooth transitions and great music choices. Keep up the amazing work, I can't wait to see more content from you. You definitely deserve more subscribers and views. Keep grinding and keep slaying those virtual enemies!

Also are we ever going to get chess Kombat back cause with the bigger roster and the DLC stages and fighters and create a fighter that mini game can really explode. Lastly once the new year starts they better give us trialer countdowns to E3 where we should finally get the big and king reveal for MK12 I’m tired of just talking in code.

The roster and opening cinematic was probably the best thing about his game…I’m just a little disappointed that everyone made it to the roster but was barely anyone in the story really. Then this was the last we even actually seen of Taven 😭
My second mk game i've ever played, the first one was an arcade one i think it was MK3 but this has such great memories from playing this with my cousin on ps2.
I think: After taven beat blaze, while raden is fighting liu kang, taven is fighting against shao khan, then shao khan killed him, then the cutscene of mk9
Swear sub zero always says hes gonna save noob saibot and get him “uncorrupted” but it never happens. All the mortal kombat games all fall in the same story line if you really think about it
2:38 I still don't believe that Kenshi lost a fight with swords he should die in a better way like receiving the magic of Shang Tsung, or with the Wrath Hammer of Shao Kahn i think his defeat was totally unfair
Even if this isn’t one of the best games in the “Mortal Kombat” franchise without fatalities, I would buy it again with an existing PlayStation 2, and I actually loved the epic concept of Konquest, but I absolutely loved the Kreate A Fighter section. I would completely unlock all costumes and everything else, just to unlock all customized characters. Also, Blaze just looks so badass as a titan of Earth and fire.
