*Totally impressive **Fastly.Cool** in my room. Wish I designed this myself. We can’t believe how quiet it is. It’s not as heavy as our last AC unit but it works more evenly and efficiently. Extremely happy with this purchase.*

Where was the capacitor located? I opened mine ac and couldn’t see a capacitor. It’s a freidrich.

Friedrichs usually put them inside a metal rectangular enclosure that it shares with the main control board, and this enclosure will always be on the inside portion of the AC, so look around the display and left/right sides of the evaporator coil.

Got one I have to look at tomorrow, hope it's the CAP.
Funny thing is, the fan works on "fan only". On "cool" I can hear the compressor run.... but the fan wont spin up.
Got a shared motor for both condenser/evap fans.
Figured I'd ask before looking at it, if you've ever seen this?

Greetings, after cleaning AC it will not cut on now and when I plug it in the reset button pops and the unit wont trun on. Could it be the control board/wires got wet or need a capacitor or new unit altogether???

So you have to take it completely out to tear it apart , it's so heavy it hurts my unused muscles

Thanks. I'm having the same symptoms on my window unit. I guessed it was the capacitor but wasn't sure.

Replacement capacitor compresor for Ac Window, how many micro farad capacitor replaced?

It must have the same micro farad rating for the compressor and the fan. In the case of having trouble of finding a specific rating, like 35+6 uF for example, you can simply replace it with a 35+5 uF instead, and add a small 1uF capacitor in parallel to the 5uF to have 6uF on the fan side.

I have a 1.5 Ton Sanyo Window AC which is more than 20 years old. It still runs with Perfect Fast Cooling & Silently. I had only got it serviced 4 times in total in the past 22 years. Each service after 5 years. For the First Time since so many years it has started an issue. After reaching the desired room temperature the Compressor gets switched off (That is fine). But the issue is after about 2 to 3 minutes when the Compressor restarts then it is unable to restart for @ 3 attempts by the AC itself within a time period of 15 seconds with a clicking sound. In the fourth attempt the Compressor invariably starts again and this cycle continues till we keep the AC on. So it works like this but the question is as specified above “Why the Compressor needs 3 attempts (Each with one clicking sound) and it starts after @ 15 seconds in the 4th attempt for every cycle”

Capacitors are relatively cheap unless if you want a high quality one.
