I've had some excellent progress/improvement (12.5 down to 10.1) in the past month, thanks to some of your instruction. So I've started to watch your videos from 'Ground Zero' - The Grip, now all your 'setup' ones and will then go step-by-step through the swing. The setup is an often forgotten, or glossed-over part of the golf swing but really does comes next in importance after the grip. I'm looking forward to single figures very soon. Thanks Stuart.
Excellent start to the setup series. very detailed and it answers the how, why, when, where, and who of setup. All makes sense, at least, to me. Love the passion you have a coach. Cheers.
Thanks coach! A masters class in setup is a great place to start the New Year! Thank you so much for the fantastic instruction and taking the time to go over such a critical component. Foundation is absolutely king! I hope people take this stuff to heart (and the grip) because if you don’t get this right you will forever be chasing your tail with swing tips that never address the root cause. Get this right now and play decent golf the rest of your life. Just do it and “verify” with a coach, friend, or video!
Strapped in for this series … whenever I play well, my mates always tell me it’s my (better) aim/set up … thank you a great drill to take to the range ..
@ it’s all good and defo the time of year to implement changes .. range yesterday and frozen 10 holes today .. focus on pull iron through and down and some excellent, confidence building straight shots .. dead straight, straighter than ever before strait.. 😃 Ta!
OK, Stu, what is the deal with you? Every time I think I've heard everything you have to say you surprise me. So, I've been hitting my irons pretty good but was plagued by an occasional hook or pull. Probably because I hang back at times. So, then I see this video which explains that the left arm and the shaft should line up. Shaft pointing to the left shoulder right? So, I'm hitting at the range and it's big draw after big draw. So I try out your setup (what a genius I am right?) and BOOM 7 irons right at the flag maybe just a breath of draw. All I had to do was, aim, setup, fire. Thanks again! and keep em coming. Live long an prosper, I need to master this stuff so I can teach the young whipper snappers in the men's club a lesson. :)
I try to work hard to set up like this great video But their is a massive difference between most of us and tour pros that is rarely mentioned! most of us are right eye dominant,if we follow our natural instinct to look at the ball with our right eye it will lead to a poor open target tilted set up yet most tour pros are either freakishly left eye dominant or have trained the left eye to be equal! the only major winner i can think of that is obviously right eye dominant is David Duval and that Swedish woman
@@GoodGolfCoaching PS i had this discussion a few years ago with your TV colleague Trey ( when he was just an enthusiastic kid at the range!) having poo pooed it he then admitted he was left eye dominant but blamed this for his poor putting!
Come on to that in a moment . Just get on with for fs.. just put the points down the bottom.. save us 10 mins of how not to do it.. just shows us the bloody setup..

So lovely to hear, and hope the gains keep improving bud. Keep it up!
...... thanks Stu...... can never be reminded too much about how important setup is......⛳🍺
My pleasure Gary, glad it was a good reminder.

Keep the setup fresh on your mind, don’t take it for granted like I know you won’t 😎
I’m really looking forward to this series! 👌🏻
Can't wait to share it with you Chris..
The dogs swingers of golf instruction Stuart.

Well said, but many won't be engaged with setup as much as the sexy stuff, but duty bound to do it!
Thanks
Thank you so much, inch, gratefully received indeed!

Hey Craig, we are just getting started buddy…. So much to share 😄
Master class!!! how I would like to come and visit you in the UK....
My online diary link is in all my video descriptions. 😊
Thanks!
Bless you, thank you so much. Hugely appreciated!
Stuart. What is the angle between arms hanging and club shaft roughly.
Different for every club. Concentrate on shaft to spine. Hope that helps

Couldn’t disagree with this eye dominance stance more Graham. Just to let you know.

having poo pooed it he then admitted he was left eye dominant but blamed this for his poor putting!
I disagree with you and Trey too then 😂😂
Half way before the grip is mentioned!…. Seriously though, the grip change, changed my whole feeling of setup.
Haha need to keep you on your toes 😂
👍👍

Hahah thanks for your honest feedback Gordon, classy guy.
@GoodGolfCoaching ffs, keep doing your thing Stuart, the mechanics explanations and background you provide are invaluable! 🎉
Love you for saying that my friend; i want to stay as authentic as possible to me and my beliefs. Thank you. 🙏
