Imperial Based Ending, also btw the northeast probably wouldn't be called Amur nor Primorsky but Heilongjiang (Heilunkiang??) and Jilin (Kirin) instead
Yeah. Like China was so strong for so long because it had a massive population. If Qing China industrialized, its economy and production capacity would be like that of modern China, except it would be on steroids since they wouldn't be communist. While and argument could be made that Japan's navy would be superior, the land force advantage would be with China, effectively meaning that the Sino-Japanese relation would be pretty much like that of France and Britain: China is the stronger land power, with more land, while Japan is the stronger sea power, being made up of island. The comparison can grow even more because Japan modernized first, just like how Britain modernized first.
I think in the event of a federalization, Manchuria would seperate from China since the Emperors were all Manchu and saw Manchuria as their ancestoral land. Also it used to be seperated from the rest of the empire with a big wall during the powerful times of the empire, to prevent the "commoners" from getting in the ancestral homelands of the emperors.
The thing is even before Manchu subjugation of the Ming, they were still heavily influenced by Chinese and clever had confucian scholars, nowadays you can't tell them apart, so probably not
@@abernabehno that parts weird as the only reason the soviets got to korea first was because they invaded manchuria aka manchukuo. the qing should’ve gotten it plus even hypothetical soviets did get korea first north korea wouldn’t exist because communist china fled half a million troops into the north to fed them the qing wouldn’t have done that so this alternate is alternate just not realistic in anyway.
@@abernabeh i’d say the usa would take all of japan and let the qing keep korea since it was a reformed empire, but the usa would probably want to influence the region and have a type of occupation/control of korea. the qing would probably reinstate the joseon dynasty or the korean royal family since the joseon dynasty has been a tributary state to chinese empires for hundreds of years so it would probably be that.

Amazing work but a bit of an idea for the speed of the text try to make it go a bit faster
I don’t think it’s logical for Qing to undergo so much modernization and even beating the Japanese once only to get curbstomped by them in ww2
I agree
Yes , the japanese shouldn't have even tried to kill a wealthy china
it say alternative so instead of not modernizing, the modernizing
