Just bought a g body regal yesterday. Haven’t ever owned one before so these videos are a definite help for me. So I don’t break anything. Still trying to find someone in my area to redo my interior, it’s ugly brown. Clean just ugly color.

I have a 1983 Cutlass Supreme and both rear quarter windows are severely rusted. There is rust on other parts of my car as well.

Glass comes out from the inside on a 78-80 Monte, Cutlass, Regal, GP. Remove the interior panels, there are small metal brackets and plastic clips that hold in the glass plus the black glue. Thanks for watching.
Very nice. Say do you know where I can get a set of the black QTR panel window sweep/belt mldg that is sandwiched between the chrome mldg and the glass for a 1979 Olds Cutlass Supreme? If not mistaken they are attached to the chrome mldg. Thanks
they don't make them, you just need to get lucky at a yard
I plan to remove the trim so i can sand and prime the body. Can the trim come out without the glass safely or should I take it out all as one piece? If it all has to come out what thickness butyl glass tape would you recommend? Any pointers would be greatly appreciated. Keep up all the great work you do.

There is a 78-79 Oldsmobile Cutlass bucket seat center console floor shifter in my local junk yard and a 78 79 Regal bucket seats floor shifter and console what are they worth
Depends greatly on condition. If nice both seats and consoles can fetch $200 each. Grab them all with shifter assemblies and all along with steering columns. You will do well in profit not to mention saving good parts for others to use on their Classic Gbody.

Yes. The rubber boarder trim is wider on a hard top vs vinyl top.

Small brackets on the inside then push the glass in.
How about a 78 g body rear qtr window? I got the interior completely strip when I bought it and I'm trying to install the window. There are mounts and I'm not sure where they get installed
The glass is held in with the same window goup, its secured with metal brackets on the top and bottom with screws. Plastic clips on the sides.
@@ClassicGBodyGarage Brian, related to that same question. I have my '80 gutted for an interior overhaul. Removing the inside brackets is easy, but I can't figure how to remove that quarter glass trim? Do you have that posted on your channel already? Maybe I missed it?
Brian. Arent the windows different from hardtop to soft top? Thr black rubber around the glass is a little bigger is what i hear.
Yes exactly. The rubber trim around the glass is wider for hard top cars vs vinyl top cars.

Not that I'm aware of. Just remove the trim and tear it off.

Napa supplies it so you can see what they have available and bring your glass with you to the store.
How do I remove the chrome on door right by the sweeps?
Its part of the sweep and you need to remove the door panel and lower the glass. I will have a video on it shortly. Just need to finish editing.

Is there a diffence in soft top quarter glass for my 84 cutlass a guy told me I’m gonna have to find cutlass hard top quarter windows with the different seals that seal up on the body and the soft top cars have different quarter seals
