Hi bro, just saw your video, thanks for putting together this guide. Can you maybe post a follow up video or tell me how to take apart the latch / lid part. The problem I have with my vertuo next is the latch, it's stuck and it can't be locked.
@@cbalf15this happened to mine when I took it apart to clean it a while ago. It's very finicky and easy to not get properly aligned. I just had to pop the top off again and set the latch to where I knew the rotating part under it goes and be extremely careful to align them properly. I think I had to try 3 times to get it to lign up right and function properly.
This video is actually a PSYOP by Nespresso themselves... they want you to see how insanely hard it is to fix and clean these units so you will just throw it away and buy another one.
1000000000000000000000000% agree with you on that. I’m only in mine because we already bought another one and I just wanted to see what made it tick. Yeah it’s designed to be thrown out when it goes bad.
Mine just stop working after 2 years... I change for a 2nd capsule and the light went off. I bought another one but is kind of the only option that they give it to you. They give you 40% discount if you recicle the machine but that never happened and I bought a new one with 40% discount at the store + Capsules + 40% discount on the 1st capsules purchase + 2 cups. I feel like they just want you to buy a new machine. Can they disconnected remotely? The way it's stops working was weird.
Hello. Does anyone know how to remove the top of the lid? Our air fryer was a little too close and melted the lid but now it won’t open. Any advice is appreciated
The pod holder assembly on mine came off this morning. I pushed it back down several times, it clicks but then it will not stay. I was wondering, did this ever happened to you? Is there any trick to lock it back in? A little insert detached, which does not seem damaged and I put back in its slot. I think it is the lens for the barcode reader. The pod holder does not seem to have any evident lip or other feature to lock it in. It is all circular at the bottom with no protrusion. Thanks for any advice.
Hello, this is a damage to the plastic tabs holding it from the bottom, if I remember correctly, not sure how to patch this. You can insert some sponge between the tabs, to increase the force they push back to the walls, holding it better.
@@secondlife1970thanks, very kind of you! In the end, I realized that the machine was still under warranty, so they sent me a replacement. But good to know for the future!
My nespresso vertuo doesn't spin up in either with a pod in it or in self cleaning mode. it starts to click and I get 2 slow, one pause on the light. Tried cleaning . Can it be a sensor or bad motor? Great video man.
Thx for video. Not sure it will help me. Motor not spining at all. Then orange flashing. Was impressed with the machine and coffee. Made 100 cups. Now stop working. Will never buy another like this. Pitty I have another 100pods still.
I took a pencil with an eraser on the end and used the eraser end to reach up into the top of the machine with the lid open and used that to spin the top part back and forth. I could feel it free up and it’s worked fine ever since. I did keep the pencil handy for next time. Good luck and have a good one!
Well, mine just doesn’t read the code bar on the coffee pods, the optic is damaged, Nespresso give me 20% off in a new one😅😅. They know the nuclear problems in this machines but they don’t give a dam. They sale the Ferrari of the coffee machines but they want to make the same mistake again and buy a new one. Shame on them.
Sorry you did not like-it, this is not for slow follow up, you have to watch-it in reverse to disassembly. Lots of tricky tabs and wires. Complicated job.

Just encountered the same thing with mine - handle won’t rotate to the locked position. Did you find any way to fix this issue?

I have the same machine. Does this model have a fuse or circuit breaker?

Great teardown. Mine is complaining the lid isn't locked, do you know where the sensor for that is?

My nespresso vertuo top wont lock??? how can I fix it?
Sorry, I am not a Nespresso tech, I do not have any other materials about these machines, other than what you see here.

A mi no me funciona donde puedo arreglar que no sea la casa
Mi spiace, non parlo italiano.

Same happened to me! I’ve found that doing a rinsing cycle before each coffee helps it
The video moves too fast to follow. : (

You can slow any TH-cam video down. There is an option in the video settings, near to the subtitles icon.
