+Defenders Of the Faith - out of all the 1995-2015 IM albums, the only good songs are: Man on the Edge, Speed of Light, The Final Frontier, The Alchemist. And of course whole album Virtual XI
Went to my first Maiden show earlier this month... Bruce sounded amazing. Voice was clear and powerful as ever, he never struggled to hit any of the high notes. They all played with a ton of energy and vigor, 110% all night. You'd never guess they were all in their 60's if you didn't know, and the crowd was full of young/younger people. They are still a wholly viable band, no implication they were in decline or about to quit.
10072018 I saw them yesterday and Bruce kept cutting out and going quite. At first I thought it was the mic but then I heard he did it in Dallas and other shows...I pray he's not losing his voice.
this would be a briliant farewell album for Maiden...... it's a double album with almost every track a masterpiece...... it's majestic and reminds me of good old times when metal ruled the world with Maiden behind the wheel.....
Just saw them in Chicago. they all played with such energy that it was hard to believe their ages. Especially Bruce. He was all over the freaking place and his voice was excellent
Bruce seems in a very good shape, thank god. In fact, if I didnt know better, i couldnt tell wether this is an interview from this year or 2 years ago. Up the irons!
I went to see Maiden here in U.S.A and I was so disappointed In the Audience as was Bruce, I'm Glad people around the world still appreciate them especially in South America.. UP THE IRONS🤘
It's amazing these guys still goin after 35 years of studio albums , (40 years if you count their pre studio time) . I was a one year old baby when they released their first album. just wow man does the time fly. They are my favorite band of course. no one else's music touches my mind quite like theirs does. I hope like hell I can get a job or sell blood or something to get tickets if they come through our area this tour.
I'm very concerned about Bruce as I watch this. IGNORE ANY INSULT AGAINST IRON MAIDEN I MAY HAVE POSTED THEY'RE ALL A BAD JOKE! Not funny. Iron Maiden and Bruce Dickinson are the last remaining fortification of the classic era of 80s/90s melodic metal. If we lose them we might as well right music off and I can't deal with one more death. Losing David Bowie was unbearable. I really don't want to lose Bruce. Feel better, brother, I hope you can overcome this frightening adversity.
What a stupid thing to say. So rich people can't wear casual and comfy clothes? They must always be dressed up like lady gaga? Or t-shirts made out of gold with diamonds hanging all around?
I hope that Iron Maiden are going to be the band that drops dead on stage when they're all in their 90s That gives us 30 more years of music and shows to enjoy. Their popularity can only go up too, what with another two generations of kids potentially growing up on Iron Maiden music.
I'm not so sure how viable that is, considering Nicko has already been slowing down his drumming (for the better of the performance) in the last tour. - I don't know if that's ONLY to make the performance more focused, but the man is 66, a heavy hitter, playing intense music. So... I'm not so sure if into their 90s is realistic. - Deep Purple is wanting to ACTUALLY retire soon, so I figure Maiden will get maybe another 10-15 years at most and it will have to be kind of done by then.
This is two years late, but... "Hey Bruce, if BoS is the "swan song" then my friend, what an awsome and incredible legacy you guys have left us all over the years, and what an unbelievable note to end on!!! Thank God for Iron Maiden; What an amazing career, & what a plethora of epic albums and songs we can cherish... and until Eddie comes knockin on my door, UP THE IRONS!!! ; )
thank u lron Maiden iv been longing to here this album and I'm not not diserpointsed at what of herd what a album one of the best yet as a long term lron Maiden fan l think the book of souls is up there as one of the best concept album s out and that's what Maiden do best concept can't wait to see this live thanks Bruce for getting better up the irons
Bruce losing the voice would be a kick in the balls to me. I don't know what I would do without Iron Maiden. I feel like Iron Maiden will be like the Stones. Unkillable.
I can't believe it's been three years since this album. Well, maybe it still seems new to me because I listened to it once/twice and never again (despite this being my number one band, I really didn't care for it). - But the last album?... I think not. The thing with these long-time bands and musicians is, they don't know what else to do with their lives. With the exception of Bruce, and maybe Nicko and Janick (though, I don't know much about what the others do), they don't have any other major things in their lives (apart from just having a family and such). - Even if they stopped it would be a hiatus, unless something really serious happened. - But I don't think anyone is really tired of what they're doing, they're probably really thankful for how things are standing. They looked like they were loving it on the recent "Legacy of the Beast" tour, and they were playing better than the years before, so... I just hope they'll get out of the sort of cliché and cheesy way of songwriting for any next album. Because ever since "AMoLaD" I've had trouble liking their music. I love "Brave" and "Dance", seriously, but "AMoLaD" took a long time for me to get into, and "Frontier" and "Book" didn't do anything for me at all, somehow sadly... That's not me "hating", that's me being disappointed as a long-time fan. - I'll give them another try at some point, but they've just felt very "forced" to me so far.
+Skip van der Zwaan (Neverminded47) Love the album. Kevin Shirley should've been replaced years ago. He did good with the production. Not completely happy with a good produced album. I prefer a great produced album, but I'm not surprised. Shirley sucks. Kevin seems like a very nice guy, but business is business. Nothing personal. Love the songs. Love Iron Maiden. They should've at least asked Martin Birch for a favor to produce the album. Pay him well. I'm sure he would've done it for his friends after everything Maiden has done for him. Pull him out of retirement for one last album. Kevin Shirley is a blues rock producer, not a heavy metal producer. He just doesn't get it PLUS he records way too many bands every year that aren't even metal. His ears aren't tuned to metal. Maiden need an exclusive producer. Although Martin Birch was a rock producer, he understood metal and that recording metal required more than just pressing record. He worked hard and he worked Maiden hard. It payed off. Kevin seems more laid back and seems to let the band do whatever they want. Every band needs guidance to some extent. Editing is required at times as well as certain effects to polish the band as much as possible. That doesn't mean cheat. A studio album isn't a live album. That's what live albums are for. Fans expect live albums to have flaws. That's fine and completely understandable. A studio album needs to be as flawless as possible. That's how I feel anyway... There are my thoughts.
Like Bruce says, when I heard he had tongue cancer, I thought, shit, even if he survives, will he still be able to sing? It was indeed a possibility that he could not. Thankfully he can and he does!
Hi Bruce..fan for 34 years..met you and the band twice in the past. Please can we have a album of 3-4 minute tracks..Vintage Maiden :)..would be similar notb or p.o.m..pretty please with Sooty on top ;)
You'll have to go to Steve for that, but he prefers the longer stuff... They even wanted to retire the first four albums from being played live. Although they've still done a bunch of them recently.
Book of Souls when it came out I was hesitant because I need an Iron Maiden with some age to it. The red and the black is a true masterpiece by Iron Maiden.
I'm torn apart on what I would think of it being the last album. It would be great seeing them make more albums, but on the other hand it would be better if this is the last album than if they make anything new not living up to it.
+Yves Heinrich Think about it over all about the the time they usually take to release an album. It's usually only about 3-4 years? So maybe by 2019-2020?
+GrayWoIf I liked all of The final frontier... except that some what annoying ass intro (satellite 15) to final frontier. they should have just had the album jump right into that song.
I honestly feel Bruce and Phil should just be able to say their first name and that's it, they don't need there last name or what band there from.... come on Fucking Bruce Dickson
Well. Mine own honest is that, i dont like book of souls, i am stuck into, killers and the number of the beast, so strongs albums and music was best then and still is. Maybe other peoples like new maiden songs or albums but i dont. Actually i am happy, i am stuck into maiden firsts albums!
I think Bruce should retire if he wants to. He has worked hard.If he doesn't want to retire.Great.I love maiden and will continue to go see their shows. But he deserves the rest and to be happy.if rocking the world well into his 60's will make him happy.I wish him years of metal Health
Iron Maiden is love, Iron Maiden is life.
funny we just watched that today
+killthemasteroflightning Your nickname is the best album that Metallica can do.
+TheMrAardbei "They chose to flyyyyyyy, Where eagles DAAAARRREEEED!"
+TheMrAardbei MENEER AARDBEI! HEEFT HELEMAAL GELIJK! \m/
That should be "Iron Maiden is love, Iron Maiden is Live After Death." :D
Steve said it best. "I don't think this band will stop until one of us kicks the bucket'.
+drizzt102 I hope for that also...... this band is keeping top-class musicianship alive
@@itkojecockot I hope they live forever :)
I think they are gonna be around still in their 80's
I don't think even this stops them
Bruce is an extraordinary man, some men deserve to live forever. he is one of them.
Colúm McClelland And His Whole Band !
Hebert Widodo yess they’re all incredible
I certainly hope not. This album was a masterpiece...I am loving it thoroughly.
+Brad Harris *it IS a Masterpiece :)
Virtual XI is a masterpiece compared to every Iron Maiden's album from 1995-2015
A Matter of Life and Death is absolutely killer, and Brave New World is well above average.
szymikon1980 Brave New World was quite good though, the prog metal style actually works for once.
+Defenders Of the Faith - out of all the 1995-2015 IM albums, the only good songs are: Man on the Edge, Speed of Light, The Final Frontier, The Alchemist. And of course whole album Virtual XI
I sure hope this isn't the last album
Avestar 967 even if it is they made one hell of a final album
And one hell of a finale song
definitely
What about a song like empire of the clouds. Another

It would be cool interviewing bands for a living and all but i have really bad social anxiety.
I feel you bro..,
+Katie Reithmeier So instead of doing something about it you would just rather look for sympathy on youtube?
+Harold Hughes not looking for sympathy. Just stating a thought.. And certain thoughts aren't allowed on the internet
Well like i said, why dont you do something about your anxiety so you can do what you want with your life?
+Katie Reithmeier Even with not having social anxiety, most people won't be able to interview bands on the size of iron maiden :b
Iron Maiden for Life
\m/
Up the irons!
Just saw them in Chicago. they all played with such energy that it was hard to believe their ages. Especially Bruce. He was all over the freaking place and his voice was excellent
I was there too. They were amazing as always.

After Rob Halford.
+Taoma H nope Dio is the king, than Ozzy, than Bruce and after that someone else...
+Toxik-Vermin Rob Halford is better than Ozzy
Long live to Bruce

"Don't judge a book by its cover"they said
What if its the book of souls?
In that case, I judged it positively. And I wasn't disappointed
I am from the future. They recently released Senjtustu

New single 'Writing on the Wall' released July 2021. I guess they aren't done yet!
He's worth like 130 million and he dresses like a garbage man. That is a good thing. He's so humble.
More like he just came from playing squash (which is likely), but yea...
What a stupid thing to say. So rich people can't wear casual and comfy clothes? They must always be dressed up like lady gaga? Or t-shirts made out of gold with diamonds hanging all around?

Limp Bizkit used to be cool.
Sunforged how does limp come into iron maiden

Indux That "insider" seems like they're full of shit, "calling it a day very soon", because three years on and they're still going.
of course not,Maiden is forever..UP THE IRONS!!!
Love Bruce's vocals on this album. I think this may be my favorite era of the band.
Bruce, you're the best! Best frontman ever!

Fantastic interviewer, hats off to you!
Maiden have given us amazing music. I feel grateful. Long live Iron Maiden.
All iron maiden albums are masterpieces and their music video is awesome as ever
The album was pretty good, but I totally loved "Speed of Light". If it was made in the 80's, it would have been a hit.
He never said no more...and Im sorry but If bruce is still good to go, then we will definitely have at least one more coming down the line.
UP THE IRONS
I hope not that's my band but if it's the last one I enjoyed every bit of it ,how can I forget that concert at red rocks unreal
this channel needs at least 10m views love it
Bruce Dickson is one of my biggest influences in my life holy shit don't die
Who's here after the announcement of SENJUTSU?
"Is 'The Book of Souls' Iron Maiden's Final Album?" i was like "its their last album?" until i saw the year this was uploaded

There are my thoughts.
I agree
+Frankamentise What if Glen from spectre media recorded it.
If maiden do another album, Adrian and Bruce should sing a song together with some harmonies!!!!!!
Bruce Dickinson = Metal God
AngelCaido79 wrong dude, that is, Rob Halford.
Dickinson is a demigod of metal. Eh, close enough. Love him.
King Diamond There are more that a single God, so Bruce is a God.
Rock n' Roll Ribs are delicious !!!! I live across the street of the restaurant in Coconut Creek/ Coral Springs FL.
Bruce is so awesome and cool, that I'm gonna let that outfit just slide... :D
He looks pretty comfy in it though.
Probably just came from an activity...
Like Bruce says, when I heard he had tongue cancer, I thought, shit, even if he survives, will he still be able to sing? It was indeed a possibility that he could not. Thankfully he can and he does!
He seems so nice. I want him to be immortal, and bring back David Bowie and Freddie Mercury.
Glad he's around to tell the tale
Just me that got this recommended after Senjutsu? XD
I definitely hope this isn’t the last album they make, but if it is, I’d think it would be one of the best ways to end their career.
BRUCE IS UNSTOPPABLE HE IS A HEAVY METAL MACHINE..I WOULDNT MIND HEARING A SONG ABOUT ," EDDIE HIMSELF" OOOHHH YAH!
Can anyone tell what watch Bruce's wearing?
Please other album because you
are fucking great😇😇😍 and lot of tour please.Without you metal doesn't exist.Bruce you are the best singer in the world.
Please 1 more albums
Book of Souls when it came out I was hesitant because I need an Iron Maiden with some age to it. The red and the black is a true masterpiece by Iron Maiden.
I love his cake face :3 (is an expression that describes someone EXTREMELY HAPPY)
WE DONT WANT TO DO THESE KINDS OF RECORDS EVER AGAIN!!!
Adorable
you've got to love Bruce Dickinson
algum br sabe se tem esse video legendado em português?
" Roy Z " would give a more punchy modern sound but with respect to maiden in a sonic heritage way, Just like he has done with Judas Priest.
Totally agree! The work he's done with Bruce on his solo album Tyranny of Souls is amazing.
Book of souls has a lot praise because Steve let Bruce have some writing, imagine what Roy and Bruce would do.
yxyxyxy2007 The two best songs were bruces
Senjutsu:Hi
im just waiting for maiden and anthrax on march 2016 in Costa Rica!
Gruhamed for president!
Bruce Dickinson is life
hope for new album and maybe a prayer for fear tour or tour remember time for blaze
We need him to re-record the 2 Blaze albums before he goes anywhere.
It's very scary because Bruce currently can't sing and he isn't sure what his voice will be like when he starts to sing for the tour.
Not true, he said he has been singing around the house, and that it sounds good, but not 100%
I'm pleased to know that, thanks for telling me.
no worrys :)
Iron Maiden dont need another album!!! You have done more than enough!!
Thankfully Bruce recovered and can still sing because he is Bruce Fucking Dickinson
He's in such fucking good nick. It's crazy.
I heard a couple songs from "Book Of Souls" and i say it made his voicd more powerful if i must throw my opinion out there
I'll say with 100% certainty it is not their last album.
Definitely not!
0:40 What about Davey??
Is that really Bruce Dickinson setting out there. On the sofa ?
I lost Ronnie James Dio I can't lose Bruce too live forever
Well, now we know it's not and let's hope neither is Senjutsu.
I'm torn apart on what I would think of it being the last album. It would be great seeing them make more albums, but on the other hand it would be better if this is the last album than if they make anything new not living up to it.
What did Bruce mean by "17 albums"? Am I missing something?
Book of Souls was a double (2 disc) album
Empire of the Clouds.
I doubt it's not gonna be their last album but if we're going to talk about a 17th, when will that going to be released?
+Yves Heinrich Think about it over all about the the time they usually take to release an album. It's usually only about 3-4 years? So maybe by 2019-2020?
Joe Garcia Probably.
1980 - 2020...40 YEARS...and GOOD NIGHT !...in my opinion.
so...another one I think
SENJITSU
lol at 1:27 Bruce looks at him like he has a crush on him
I think it was great album them and Priest both made great albums way better than the disaster that was Nostradamus and Final Frontier
+GrayWoIf I liked The Alchemist and Coming Home. Prophecy and VIsions were good too.
+GrayWoIf Nostradamus is a great work!
+GrayWoIf I liked all of The final frontier... except that some what annoying ass intro (satellite 15) to final frontier. they should have just had the album jump right into that song.
***** I think most people never got past the shit intro..
ThreeDaysOfDan well sucks to be them , because the rest of the album was awesome. Hell the single for TFF doesn't even have that shit intro.
Is it there last?
IRON MAIDEN = LEGEND Off METAL
17 albums? What would be the other one?
No, he was referring to how "BoS" is basically a double album. - I had to think for a moment as well, but that's why it could be considered as two.
Well the fact they they purchased a big ass plane is an indication they will keep touring for several years. Rock on brothers \m/
Anyone else notice the dude's Tool shirt?
It needs to be
I honestly feel Bruce and Phil should just be able to say their first name and that's it, they don't need there last name or what band there from.... come on Fucking Bruce Dickson
I hope Book of Souls is not the last album. Iron Maiden is awesome.
Senjutsu has be the newest album
why did he suggest it might technically be the 17th?
Well. Mine own honest is that, i dont like book of souls, i am stuck into, killers and the number of the beast, so strongs albums and music was best then and still is. Maybe other peoples like new maiden songs or albums but i dont. Actually i am happy, i am stuck into maiden firsts albums!
SUPER
I think Bruce should retire if he wants to. He has worked hard.If he doesn't want to retire.Great.I love maiden and will continue to go see their shows. But he deserves the rest and to be happy.if rocking the world well into his 60's will make him happy.I wish him years of metal Health
Personally I think Maiden have one more album and tour in them.
Itunes won't get the album art for that album!
Make a new album please just 1 more
