I concur with you man. Hit the nail on the head. If HasTak wants our money and increase profits, they better deliver products with quality materials/design/engineering!
@@PrimeVsPrime You are right with the engineering, but Megatron defeats Hot Rod in paint aplications! The helicopter mode is way better painted and nicer than the paneled Lamborghini.
Animated Megatron is my favorite iteration of the character, so I really love this things dual rotor blade helicopter mode. Other than that, not much else I find interesting
Im actually really excited to see such a fresh take on Megatron, it feels like outside of the live action stuff, transformers character designs have been really static for a really long time, so its nice to finally see something distinct and new again. I actually dont think this is such a bad figure, either, its just in the wrong price point. If this were like $15, I'd have nothing bad to say about it, but there is no excuse for it to be $25
it's a bit too pricey considering this deluxe class is very different. i could tell side by side that the cyberverse and earthspark side by side looks very different in terms of quality
I think the kids watching Earthspark will love this Megatron figure. The SS Hot Rod set the bar pretty high as far as Deluxe class engineering goes, but I just don’t see Hasbro dropping prices for the Earthspark Deluxes that didn’t get all the bells and whistles.
I really love this design. Glad to see Megatron as a VTOL again. Yeah sure, megs as a tank is cool and all, but we hadnt got a VTOL megs since animated
You keep mentioning level of engineering and quality, but I think that since this figure it meant for a younger audience the plastic and paint quality should actually be higher than the SS Hot Rod;since a simpler transformation would make more sense for a younger audience. I definitely agree with you about the quality.
Like the toyline? cuz hasbro's current brand model put more money into generations than the toyline for whatever series is going on Which is really dumb
I would love to see a heavily retooled/upscaled version of this figure from APC Toys or Wei Jiang because I think the aesthetic is there, but it just needs improvements on the engineering and size.
I'm surprised the designers didn't just come up with a way for those forearm panels to peg into the backs of the legs to fill them out. I don't think a little bit of partsforming would be an issue if it made the legs look better and the arms look accurate to the show.
Seeing this megatron's alt mode be a cybertronian-looking ospray aircraft is a huge refresher from the classic tank or jet that we usually get with megatron. Its also nice knowing this one is the first transformer ever to turn into an ospray. Kinda wish bot mode offered more though
He’s not bad, but not great ether. As I once said to a friend “Kids deserves good quality toys too.” Yes they do collect generations, but you know what I mean.
I love the vehicle mode. Though I prefer Megatron keeping his Cybertronian alt mode, if he was to have an Earth alt mode, a osprey helicopter would be perfect.

Sweet! Like these designs! Maybe we'll get voyager versions of these. Overall, its alright not the best figure it seems, but a cool design nevertheless!😁👌🏻
Fair first ever review of this upcoming line! Really disappointed that the V-TOL does not seem to have an effective vertical take-off and landing feature at the very least (where the blades can face upwards for lift-off, then flip to fly like a plane, and back to default to assist isolated landing). It is the basic function of this type of vehicle (where even Armada Mini-Cons could do it)! Tsk tsk tsk

That Hot Rod figure is premium by comparison because Lamborghini worked with the TF designer. When those guys are stakeholders...the toys better come out right. Though what sucks is that they didn’t do to great with prime. They just stuck a long nose cab into his flat truck design and it kinda shows.
It reminds me of Transformers Animated Megatron with the Dual Helicopter Mode. I prefer that Leader Class toy better. The Transformation from Robot to Vehicle is very nearly 1 to 1 to the animation model.
The modes at least look pretty good besides the arm kibble. Hoping for a Voyager class that scales better and has better engineering, as I love his design, probably my favorite since Prime.
Wow, that's bonkers! But no, it's still £25!! If this thing was maybe £19.99 or a little less, maybe. But there's no excuse for it being that expensive AND that hollow. He's also way too small, especially comparing with Shockwave.
That demographic argument people are throwing out falls short even further when you look at the old Transformers Animated toys from 2007-2009. Those had SUPERB plastic quality, and engineering was on point even with their simple transformations as there were basically ZERO hollowness even on deluxe figures. PS. Even Studio series, the Netflix War for Cybertron trilogy, and Legacy figures of today can’t compete with those old animated and movie figures in terms of plastic quality
