From lining up at the London 2012 Olympics and holding the Parkrun World Record, to drinking with Mo Farah and starting a TH-cam channel that's gained over 650,000 subscribers -- Andy Baddeley is one of the fastest and most entrepreneurial British athletes of all time.
In this episode, Andy opens up about the struggle of finding a balance between enjoying life whilst being at the top of his game, as well as recalling some of the funniest moments from his career.

Top interview this lad. Great questions and super insightful responses, loved it
glad you found it useful!
Loved this interview. Didnt even know Andy was such a high level pro runner...! Only knew him from the running channel...😮 Great interview again!!!! Enjoyed this again!!
One of Britain's best ever! Glad you enjoyed it.
Class video! *crying inside* was too funny 😂
Glad you enjoyed mate! More genuine value in this 15 minutes than 95% of the meme-worthy running content on this platform!
@@the.distanceproject Agreed, really interesting episode hearing Andy's thoughts. Felt very genuine
A great one, really enjoyed that. Sorted your post running job as an interviewer 😊
Haha not sure about that!! Glad you enjoyed :)
Cracking video, that £58.01 is only going one way! 🚀🌕
haha thanks mate! super shoes on us when we hit triple figures 🤣
Loved this episode Callum, you’re definitely getting into the swing of this. Look forward to seeing where this channel goes.
Thanks James! Onwards and upwards!
Great interview, very insightful!
thanks!
Omg! What a great collab!!!! Saving this video for when I can sit and really enjoy it. I know it’s gonna be a good one
Enjoy! 🙌🏻🙌🏻
Amazing mate, loved this one
Thanks mate!
Well, I watch tons of running TH-cam (addict!), and not only did I not know that Andy was the boss of the running channel but i hadnt heard of most of the trends had to stop and Google wave lights & double threshold, so I learnt lots, great vid, thanks 👍
Awesome!! Glad you found it useful & (hopefully) an enjoyable watch 👊🏻 Andy is a legend.
Please try to normalize your audio levels, the intro music (and the little interludes between questions) is super loud compared to the interview :)
Thanks for the feedback! We’re still new to this (less than 15 videos!) so still learning. Feedback like this is great for us, thank you
Cheers, Will keep in mind!
Best one yet!
Thank you! 👊🏻
Love Andy’s modesty!!
A great guy 🙌🏻
I didn't know he started the running channel.
I like Andy a lot, seems easy to get along with and love his insights into the sport that you can only get from being a professional.
He’s a great bloke!
I raced him in 2006 in a track mile. Tried having a brief chat after the race and he gave me nothing 😂
👏🏻
This LOOKS really good and I'm impressed. However, I'm three minutes in and I'm really struggling with the sound. It's not that clear in the first place but the music is just making it that much less so. Maybe it's fine for most people with perfect hearing but I'm struggling here.
Just a (hopefully) constructive opinion. Will be back later with headphones to see if that helps.
Thanks for the feedback - as mentioned in a few replies below, we are still new to TH-cam and particular this style of video (only our 3rd one). It was shot in a busy (noisy!) park so the audio is a little off. Hopefully you can enjoy a future video with improved audio! Thanks for giving it a go :)
You say that you won/t get a faster runner on the channel - but what about yourself? Do you reckon you have a chance to get down to 3:49 eventually? If you had been at the best level of fitness you achieved this summer and lined up in the recent Eugene mile - perfect climatic conditions, super fast track, latest footwear, pacer lights etc. - how fast do you honestly think that you could have run? -
Good question! I can dare to dream, but a sub-3:50 mile takes some serious doing!!
Lowest moment of his career wasn't his fall at the 2006 commonwealth games when he would have fought for the win? Oh and brought down aussie champ Mottram.
Who knows!
Really loving this series and big fan of AB, (can you just get rid of the music over the talking though please ?!)
Thanks Lynne, appreciate your view! 100% we will edit accordingly in future episodes... still learning the ins & outs of how to make this style of content, especially in busy (noisy!) parks. We'll get there :)
It’s really great series and I like the ‘chill’ approach and the chatter in the park was actually nice- refreshing to not feel staged 👍👍
'PromoSM' 💪
Why are you playing music on top of the talking? First video. Can't give a sub, its just too darn hard / annoying to listen
Thanks for the feedback, I appreciate you giving it a go! Hopefully you enjoy a future video :)
