Batman and his not killing rule = less dangerous in a fight, so yes, actually he could be more deadly but he won't, it's the same reason why he doesn't bring more powerful tech in his standard equipment. The best evidence was during his fight against Slade in 2015 or 2016, there is a scene where Slade basically was almost defeated and he could have been killed, but Batman doesn't kill and this was a advantage for Slade to strike back. Even at the begining of the fight Slade basically said: Batman doesn't kill, that's my edge. Batman holds back all the time, many people still underestimate this thing but it's hugely important, especially against some particular enemies. You're not willing to kill? Fine, that's mean you're not willing to win.

There was an interview with John Byrne at least 15 years before The Batman / Captain America crossover was released and he said much the same thing. He said Bats is second to Cap in hand-to-hand but Batman is also the second best escape artist on Earth (behind Mister Miracle), the second best disguise artist on Earth (behind the Human Target), and etc. Batman can do everything to such a high degree he doesn't have to beat you up to beat you.
I guess, it's still Impressive. Whoever is first in their respective field, knows mostly about their particular field. Ever since the new 52, we got an even edgier and more bad-ass fighter out of 10 year old Damian Wayne. We are talking about a kid who can easily take on Deathstroke and even Dick. He was trained everyday from toddler-hood to the age of 10 by the League of Assassins and their leader Ra's al Ghul. himself.While Dick did win the fight against Damian, he was badly injured in the process and Damian has proven he can get the upper hand at times to. Damian should have been on this list and since he would be more willing to at times go further then other Robin's, like Kidnap Jonathan White, Clark (Superman) and Lois White's 10-year-old son, AKA Superboy, that he should have been higher then Nightwing!

Ever since the new 52, we got an even edgier and more bad-ass fighter out of 10 year old Damian Wayne. We are talking about a kid who can easily take on Deathstroke and even Dick. He was trained everyday from toddler-hood to the age of 10 by the League of Assassins and their leader Ra's al Ghul. himself.While Dick did win the fight against Damian, he was badly injured in the process and Damian has proven he can get the upper hand at times to. Damian should have been on this list and since he would be more willing to at times go further then other Robin's, like Kidnap Jonathan White, Clark (Superman) and Lois White's 10-year-old son, AKA Superboy, that he should have been higher then Nightwing!
I'm still trying to figure out why Wonder Woman is not on this list. For goodness sake, Batman himself said that Wonder Woman is possibly the best melee fighter in the world. Anyone would be a fool to piss Wonder Woman off. For Christ's sake, this woman can beat the literal God of War in a fight. The god of freaking War! I really thought Wonder Woman was going to be at one. Besides Batman calling her the best melee fighter on the planet. She is known for strict trianing on paradise island in various types of weapons. I also saw no mention of Huntress trained almost by the same masters as Black Canary and Big Barda who was honor gaurd for Darkseid's furies, both of which are also fierce fighters.

I think it's kind of wack to say "Batman is worse cause he holds back." Superman rarely goes for the kill either even if he could easily kill his opponent, that doesn't suddenly make him less skilled or weaker.

This is why I LOVED Birds of Prey when Gail Simone was writing it in early 2000s. One of the few books to highlight DC’s great hand-to-hand combatants with excellent story telling. For all the talk about Johns, Morrison, and Snyder, Gail Simone was one of the best and most underrated writers at DC in recent history.

In the Batman Beyond series ongoing, Batman himself said that Damian Wayne is better than he was at his prime. Since Karate Kid, who lives in the future, was included, I feel Batman Beyond Damian Wayne should also have been included.
I love the list. Also I am glad to see Nightwing as the only Robin on the list. I have had many debates with friends about which of all the Robins is the best overall fighter and I always said it is Dick.

When asked about it later Batman only stated that the kid was pulling his punches and holding back and that he was not

I think the list should've been about the most skilled fighters, rather than the best tbh. Pretty sure wonderwoman being able to catch bullets puts her reactions faster than most on this list. Then her stamina and healing factor also means she has more endurance than most. Lastly, if she uses 1% of her striking force and someone like batman blocks it, they should lose every bone in their body. Considering that she can level a mountain
