Just a tip, don't tip the jars to dump the water off of the lids when removing the jars. Tipping the jars at that stage will cause the filling to leak out and prevent your jars from sealing properly.
It depends on the oranges used & the amount of juice / pulp rendered. You can scale this up or down. I’d roughly guess 7 lbs of fruit for a dozen or so half pints.

You can use Navel, Seville (very high pectin level) or whichever quality oranges you can obtain, sugar & pectin. I buy bulk dry, it’s so much more affordable than small retail pouches. Stay tuned… 🍊🍋
