Essentially, a RAW image file will record ALL the uncompressed data captured by your camera. JPEGs are standard graphics files that allow images to be viewed on any number of devices, like your computer or phone. The video then discusses the advantages and disadvantages of each type of file and what you will need if you only capture RAW images.
