(Highlander is a short character in game, shorter than, shugoki, lawbringer, cent, hitokiri (m), jorm (m) Valkyrie, warlord, warden, Kensei, Vortiger (m))
What I would really, really like is if Ubisoft allowed an *option* to enable minion kill animations *for applicable heroes* in Custom Games only. It couldn't be used in public matches, and would only be applicable for the original cast and the pre-Marching Fire heroes, but it would at least be a way for all of those awesome animations to still be visible in the game in a way, preserved in a niche way that would still allow players to see them. I feel like they add a sort of flavor to the characters that is lost without them. Sure, the Campaign exists, but that's only a small portion of the existing animations and you don't have a lot of minions in any given time to use them on. So, thank you for showcasing these animations, I adore them miss them a lot. They made me feel so badass.
I agree with all of this, except why not public matches as well? I mean, if anyone is taking public matches seriously (which they shouldnt because it's not like there is a competitive game mode with ranks), they are fully squaded up with friends and are communicating. @@GoGoDani ^this 100% , even the ranked duels are still in 'beta' (whatever that means). So, the only competitive For Honor is either private Lan matches or the Dominion series
@@GoGoDani That's a good point. I haven't run into many people who disliked the animations. Yeah I enjoy watching other For Honor creators but watching the same For Honor gameplay videos over and over gets kinda boring. It's cool to see channel really putting in effort into the quality of their videos and just making them enjoyable to watch. Keep going Dani, you're awesome.
Fun fact, the minion kill animations are still there if you play story mode. In fact a lot of the old movesets and features are still in story mode so I’m convinced it’s literally hasn’t updated since launch.
When i started this game, these were already removed from the game. But damn theyre kinda cool you can see how strong heroes are compared to normal people.
All of the "master of the longsword" the Warden was supposed to be is left in minion kills animations. Thrusting combat animation waiting room, day since Beta launch.
It got lost as the game evolved, but at launch the assassins sucked at minion clearing to discourage using them like a vanguard. They were intended to sneak around on the flanks and, well, assassinate. Or steal unguarded zones. As the game changed, every hero became capable of doing any task.
To be fair, at least the law bringer animations do show the weight of the polearm, he drags it across the floor when he one handed it and the other one hand swing had him tucking the polearm length under his armpit and holding it near the neck with a uppercut swing. Looked really nice.
i feel like people dont really know it, but every hero change animations depending of the combos they have example, warden LLH is alot diferente that LHH where warden spins like a helicopter
I didn’t even play the game when minion kill animations was a thing, but seeing this video makes me want Ubisoft to add them back. I mean imagine warmonger kill animations, that would probably be pretty badass if you ask me.
They should bring them back tbh. I understand it would take a long ass time to come up with animations for all the post marching fire heroes but I waiting wouldn’t be an issue for me tbh. It would make clearing mid lane so much more fun in my opinion. Now you just Walk up like sauron in the battle of the last alliance. That is seriously how I feel when I kill minions as BP
Although some of the new executions are a little sub par, I am still glad that we get some unique executions rather than ones that don’t fit heros much.
They got rid of it because 1.) money and 2.) the dev team got swapped out. The lead directors got swapped out twice. It went from gritty dark fantasy sword game to colorful less dark sword game to anime.
Some characters were better at clearing lanes with these animations, but marching fire honestly might’ve taken a bite out of the dev’s allowance lmao. They removed the minion lane animations to save money on animations (same reason we haven’t gotten hero specific executions in so long) plus when they announced that dlc they also mentioned how it’d come with new additions to the storyline, which it didn’t.
Guys pay attention to conq’s bash in the minion kill, it looks a lot closer to kiyoshin’s bash than any other animation in the game. I also saw a while ago, Raider has a kick from the minion kills that matches perfectly with gryphon.
we need a 2 handed spear in this game asap. eventhough the spear was the most common weapon in history, for honor only has the one handed spear which valkyrie uses. closest thing to it is nobushi but shes using a naginata
Well... The thing is, that's about the least interesting weapon you could have with a pole shaft. A one-handed spear leaves one free hand for a shield or trying to grab things or a secondary weapon. As for two-handed... Well, there's about 30 different styles of polearm that can be used in the same way as a spear whilst also offering additional utility (glaives, halberds, billhooks, war scythes, bardiches etc...). There's just no reason for a two-handed spear to be used in a game that has more advanced polearms.
@@darthplagueis13 why does it matter if the weapon is interesting or not lmfao, we have lawbringer and he's not interesting at all. Plus that's just ur opinion and just I have my own opinion. @@verrat3219 The reason why the spear was the most common is because it was cheap, effective and easy to use. A glaive or billhook isn't inherently slower or less nimble than a spear, it just does more things better in exchange for requirung more practice to effectively use and more materials to forge.
