You should never let a monkey bite you, because thats why you hear the stories of people going to the hospital, or abandoning their monkeys at a shelter. Letting a small Red-Handed Tamarin play bite with you isn’t telling them that it’s okay to bite humans, matter of fact it teaches them the opposite. Tamarins are very social animals, especially Golden Handed Tamarins. If you just leave it in a cage it would become furious and thats what causes Bigger primates to bite and attack. And to the “incidents” that your talking about it’s always only Chimpanzees, and for them, I would recommend to let them be.
