    Nice work and tips these are great looking trucks they should have oiled and and tightened the screws for the price tho they also make red soft springs for these to

    • @ShenRC
      @ShenRC  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah for sure! They don't put the springs in the shocks now they are empty with the springs put in they give you as a option its super stiff. this out of the box is stiff as a board you lift one tire they all lift up no flex at all I don't know why they make it so stiff it's almost like it has no suspension. It should work much better now though. Thanks for watching.

    Good advice Steve. I love my RC4WD RC's but isn't a shame that these things have to be done to a new and supposedly updated chassis. The steering rod rub is shocking, especially for something at this price point. Big thumbs up for this video. It's going to help a lot of people 🙂👍🏼👍🏼

      Rc4wd not a traxxas or axial this is a scaler not a basher

  • @BasBoyRC
    @BasBoyRC 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    That does have a few issues. You thought a Mk3 would have all this sorted.

    • @ShenRC
      @ShenRC  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah super stiff like no suspension at all out of the box at least now it has a bit of flex and it works much better now because when you ran over something when it was stock the whole truck would just lift up off the ground. Thanks for watching.

    Flip the leaf spring hangers to give the shackles more of an angle, it’ll give it easier travel

    Good tips and thanks for sharing. Check out RC Everyday video on this as he had some good tips on suspension mods as well. I just got mine yesterday and looking forward to modding it this weekend. First upgrade I already ordered was the over/under drive kit,lol.

    • @ShenRC
      @ShenRC  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks, I found these suspension mods work best out of the box it has no flex at all. This way it ran much better I was working on this for a long time and tried many other ways to get the suspension to get softer and more flex nothing worked but what I did now was the best balance of flex and spring rate. Have fun with it!

    Use a 4mm spacer. No need to grind the oil pan.

    • @ShenRC
      @ShenRC  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah you got to watch that the steering rod don't hit the leaf and also when you compress the suspension watch for the rod so it don't hit the axle pumpkin. Thanks for watching.

    • @keystonekrawlerrc
      @keystonekrawlerrc 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ShenRC it's just right. Nothing is in the way. Make sure you notch that front valance for full compression up front. It doesn't allow for full travel of the shackle it hits.

    • @ShenRC
      @ShenRC  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@keystonekrawlerrc Yeah I hear ya I did the front of the inner body those shackles hit it like crazy don't know why they left it like that?
