Sounds great brother! You’re right, it’s mainly for the sound, not performance. There are more expensive ones out there, but this plate is great to have until can afford a better one for sure! Could you give us a POV drive with your windows down? Can’t wait to hear it! Especially with your tune!
i have a 2014 vt with an exhaust and k&n intake which is loud 24/7, as loud as your spacer. what intake u have just curious? never did bov or spacer cuz turbo/intake is already loud and removed hood vent covers
Yes so my intake is super loud too it’s the “AF Dynamic” open intake. When your driving it the intake lets you hear the turbo spin and now the spacer lets you hear it “pshhh” louder. Honestly kinda sounds like a bigger turbo lol
@@Chaair the bypass valve failed on mine before so it would have compressor surge/flutter sound when letting off. sounds cool but supposedly not good for turbo so i replaced it. i think if you pull a vacuum line off the bypass itll make the sound too
@beetleboys your exactly right, I had a check engine because I didn’t align the slot form the spacer and the OEM plate. Once I realized that I reinstalled in the correct orientation and boom CeL is gone!
Would you ever opt into getting the GFB DVX diverter valve, it sits just on your intercooler like the bov sound plate, from other forte and veloster users, they said they feel better acceleration. I am getting one for my Kia forte5 sx soon.
Do you have an instagram or twitter? You can send me a video of your set up and maybe I can help out a little more cus I’m not too sure what’s going on. It should be placed on the OEM plate and everything should still be connected such as the air hoses
bud if you have an aftermakret intake unplug the bov return pipe running to the intake and just cap off the part from the intake youll get that same sound and just push the pipe under the radiator hose you wont hurt anything with it being open because its a return
I’ve done that before and it does not sound nearly as loud as this plate. It is a cheap alternative tho, I also noticed a slight reduction in the amount of air being sucked into the aftermarket CAI.
@Chaair its a recirculation return.... of course you are gonna get a tad less but it's been proving that having the hose of does absolutely nothing to hp loss and air loss
It would most definitely affect…effect? Idk which one lol but it would change ever so slightly because of less air going coming in meaning the A&F ratio is off. Now will it be noticeable probably not but with the tune you can absolutely tell the difference as it runs sluggish with less air. With all this being said I did install this as it was a viewer request!
Still sounds sick asf ngl , planing on getting a veloster soon😁
It does sound cool and for $25 it’s not bad. That’s cool! If you ever have any questions hit me back up!

For sure I’ll see what I can make ! Thanks amigo

Wdym cut the hood vent covers. Are you referring to the fake plastics on the hood?
@@ryanator4156 they just pop out. i think later models dont have them. if you remove them get a neg battery terminal cover
Sounds good! I got the GFB dvx and she sounds amazing, paired with the kdm tuners bov solenoid really makes a difference!
Heard a lot about the GFB one, definitely one of the better sounding ones too

Yes I would for sure prefer an actual BOV upgrade than just the plate, I’ve heard great things about the GFB one too!
Hi i have the same car from where i could buy this plate please,,, I’m from Iraq
It’s in the link in the description, but you can also just search it up on EBay!
@@Chaair what the name of it please 🙏🏻
@user-mi9xe1zy5y it’s called a “ blow off valve sound plate”
The reason I recommend the DVX is because it holds boost better.
Absolutely! It definitely will hold more boost. Fortunately the stock BOV can handle the boost I’m running
I have a forte 1.6 turbo but it doesn't work, I put it in 3 ways and none of them worked
What exactly doesn’t work? Is it aligned with the original plate?
@@Chaair I already placed the spacer according to your video but no pshhhh sounds

Is the sound plate loud
Absolutely,sounds like a whole BOV!
Pops n bangs tune?
Yessir, I have a video on my custom stage 1+ tune with pops bangs, burbles, and of course more power too
Who’s your tuner?
@@Chaair Could you tune mine?
I got it tuned by Leonard Barringer, here is his instagram instagram.com/qwiktymeperformance?igsh=bjZldzhvNXE3YW95
