Good evening Mr Johnson, really well done on bagging your first wild camp and taking it on solo. A memory that will never be forgotten and hopefully something you will try again and again, stay safe and well, catch you again soon, Ceri and Kat 🏕❤👍☕🤗
Yes, I was massively nervous for my first few camps. And I still get a bit edgy from time to time but the nerves go. And all that remains is the delightful bliss of being under the stars. You nailed it.
Thanks Jonathan. It’s certainly a special experience. I can’t believe it’s taken me so long to try wild camping. A few months ago, I was adamant it wasn’t for me. Really glad I’ve given it a go as I’ve loved the experience (even the lack of sleep!)
@@AnthonyJohnson1 I very rarely get a good night's sleep. But I enjoy getting up to have a wander around, setting up the camera for some astral photography, or just listening to the sounds of the night. Many of my camps are coastal so it's all about the sound of the ocean 🌊😊
That’s fantastic Bryan. You must have been a proud dad! I’m trying to encourage my daughter to give it a go but we’ll have to wait and see on that one! Thanks very much for watching 🙂
Hi Anthony - you did brilliant. It is a really odd feeling first wild camp, butterflies and as light fades the uncertainty rises. I felt totally invigorated by the experience, totally alive. Like you I did n't sleep much but it was more like been a kid on Christmas Eve type excitement more than anything else. When the dawn comes its always a sense of achievement to have made it safely though the night, but then that is the best bit with the sun rise and an early morning walk the best time of the day. I think you were really blessed by the weather and to have the stars and then the sunrise. Im so glad this has been a great experience for you and you won't be selling your new tent.
Thanks Richard. Definitely share your experience there. I was so hyper last night that sleeping was just not happening. I do feel proud to have achieved this though. It’s been inspiring watching people like your good self and others on TH-cam camp so I’m glad to have joined the club 👍
Congratulations Anthony on your first wild camp,. Getting the first one done is always the hardest and the memory will stay with you forever. I’m Pleased you enjoyed it. You always learn more about yourself and what works for you each time you do one. Everyone is different, there’s no right or wrong., what works for someone won’t work for another person, just do you own thing. I never sleep particularly well when in my small tent but love being out in it. Your right about not going wild camping to get a good nights sleep. 🏕🏕
Thanks Tony. I’m sure I’ll find what works and what doesn’t as time goes on. There’s so much going on when your out camping, I found it really hard to just switch off. At the end of the day, you can catch up with sleep when you’re back home. That’s the way I looked at it
Well done on getting your first wild camp in and I never worry about what my pitch looks like, as long as I am warm and dry 😂. Good to see you were dry all night and a gorgeous morning to wake up to and I never sleep too much when I am in my tent. Hopefully, the first of many, cheers Alan
Thanks Alan. So far I’ve stayed warm and dry which has been a bonus 😆. I was lucky with the weather on this one. I’m never usually up in time to see a sunrise so this one was extra special 👍
Hi Jess. It was a great place to camp. It’s probably not somewhere that will be that popular with the masses, so it might be one of my go to places if I just want a bit of peace and quiet
Well done. The location looked wonderful and weather to match. When that sun starts to go down you realise you are staying the night whether you like it or not. Quite an exciting experience. Hope you get to share more adventures.
That’s a great point. When I was faffing with the fly sheet, I realised there was no going back. It is quite exciting really being on your own with just nature for company. Thanks for watching 👍
Hi there. Great to hear from you. Hope you’re doing well? I wanted to ensure my first wild camp experience was in good weather. Not sure I’d have enjoyed it quite as much if it had been bucketing it down 🙈
Thanks Catherine. I’m looking forward to planning a few 2 day walks with a camp to break up the distance. Definitely need to bring the pack weight down though. I’ve got no muscle and it showed carrying that pack 🙈
Woohoo! 🙌 Looked like an amazing night and morning. Some stunning footage too 😍 Thanks for the shout out, I’m really glad you liked the spot and enjoyed the camp. Looking forward to the next one 😊👍
Thanks Ben. I’m so pleased you shared that spot with me. I really enjoyed the experience and the location was stunning, particularly the sunrise this morning. I had the perfect view. It’s a pleasure with the shout out. Look forward to planning a camp together soon 👍
Well done on your first wild camp. I have not done it yet but I will be doing this year. The closest I got was sleeping in my garden a few days ago on some mats. It was so peaceful, althought the birds woke me up at 4am.
Thanks Peter. It was a great experience. I find earplugs help with blocking some of the wild life noise. Having said that, in my two camps so far, I’ve hardly slept due to the newness of it all.
Thanks Ben. I’m so glad I picked a good weather day. I’ll leave bad weather camping until I’ve improved the pitching speed etc. The tent and bag were spot on mate. I was lovely and warm and had to leave the bag unzipped!
@@BenjaminWilcock I’d need to get the weight down like you do though. I wouldn’t fancy lugging that pack yesterday over 15 miles. Not without bulking up at the gym first!
@@BenjaminWilcock I’ll check it out. I’ve watched your thru hike kit videos and you do unbelievably well to carry such a light pack. I must pick your brains on it sometime 👍
Nice one Anthony, I still get a little anxious at times on solo wild camps, but getting the first one out of the way is always a great feeling. 😆 @ bowling green comment, I've still been seeking that perfect bowling green pitch. 👌🏼 I like my Exped SynMat, I've got the HL version.
Thanks Robin. I was certainly nervous beforehand but I was surprised how calm I felt when I was out. I might start taking a spirit level with me to see if the completely flat pitch actually exists 😆
Well done ! I've just come across your channel and have now subscribed. Seeing how many walks you have filmed, I'm surprised it has taken so long to do a wild camp. The secret to overcoming first-time fears is to be as tired as possible. My first solo I was so tired, I could barely be bothered to cook any dinner. In the good old days, folk would spend the day hiking before pitching up, so being tired was common. There could have been 10 bogeymen outside my tent, I couldn't care less ... I was asleep Now, it's quite common for folk to park the car and walk for only a couple of hours or even less, so getting tired isn't always possible, so if that's the case, walk in a few circles ... so you are near the car in case anything goes wrong, but are tired enough to sleep soundly. Regards from Whitley Bay
Thanks for watching and subscribing Brian. I think you may be right there. I'm used to doing very long day walks, but i've only done relatively short 4 or 5 mile walks to camp so far. I've been a bit wary of the extra pack weight but its not been that bad, so I think i'll look to increase the mileage on future wild camps to help me sleep at night!
I’m so pleased your done your first wild camp, I recall your earlier videos about your preparation. It’s paid off. You’ve found a beautiful spot for a camp. Looking forward to seeing many more in the future. xx
Thanks Rachel. I was beginning to think I’d never get to go with how bad the weather has been. It’s helped watching people like yourself really embrace the wild camping and has given me the confidence and motivation to give it ago. It certainly didn’t disappoint. Thanks for watching 🙂
Looks like you had a great spot my friend. Nice and toasty in the rab bag mate! Yeah mild weekend so it worked out ok. Nice sunrise shots. Such a nice spot
Hi Anthony, great video, I'm just getting into wild camping myself, got three under my belt so far this year. Went out onto Kinder back in April, imagination ran a little wild on me, convinced myself someone was walking about just outside the tent, hardly any sleep. As you will know experience breeds confidence, so by my third camp felt really at ease, it rained through the night, and strange as it may sound that seemed to help and I slept like a baby. I reckon you're safer up in the hills on your own than you are down in the city. Look forward to following your adventures. ATB Maurice.
Thanks Maurice. Great to hear you’re getting into the wild camping and managing to get some sleep. I’m sure I’ll get there with a bit more experience. I’m looking forward to getting out on another camp soon. Hopefully won’t be too long now. Thanks very much for watching. It’s much appreciated 👍
Congratulations on your first wild camp lovely spot I've got a ruff idea where you were. Don't think many sleep well the first couple of times. But I say I do sleep better wild camping than at home. Hope to see you out again. ATB
Thanks Dan. I’m sure I’ll crack the sleeping thing. I’ve had two camps now but barely slept. I think it’s because it’s all a new experience. Thoroughly enjoyed it though
I did my first solo wild camp last year , im hooked now ! Nice peaceful location for your first , a wee dram or two would have settled your nerves and helped you get a better sleep ! Good video 👍🏻
Thanks very much. Very kind of you to say so. I don’t usually have any trouble sleeping so I’m putting this one down to the excitement of the first camp. I may take a wee dram though just in case on the next one 🙂
Awesome place to camp ! What a lovely area... I've been camping since I was quite young....but when you're out and about I still hear things that I can't identify....of course throw that in w/your imagination and...lol I don't know what wildlife you may encounter out there as I'm in the States, but no worries !
Thanks very much. There isn’t much in the way of dangerous wildlife over here, although pitching in a farming area could mean being trampled by a herd of curious cows 🙈. I wore earplugs so I wasn’t kept awake by the sounds of the wildlife. It didn’t work though as I still didn’t get any sleep. Had a great time though!
Brilliant video mate enjoyed joining you on your first wild camp. It took me ages to do my first camp because I didn't like the feeling of been alone. But in the end I got some balls and just didn't it now I can't stop lol. I look forward to seeing the next one mate. Atb Sam
Thanks Sam. I did enjoy the experience. I can see why you find it addictive. I’m already looking forward to the next one. Hopefully, I’ll get chance to get out again soon
I have been looking forward to this, having seen your photos on Twitter this morning. So good to see you finally getting out for that first wild camp and I hope there will be more to come. Yes, I definitely get nervous beforehand but usually settle down as it grows darker and time passes. All the best, Anthony.
Thanks Olly. I’m really pleased this weather window opened up. I’ll definitely be planning a few more camps now. I’d like to progress to places like Kinder and Bleaklow but one step at a time. I did feel really comfortable once darkness descended. I forgot where I was to be honest and just focused on enjoying the surroundings and sounds of nature. Have a great week 👍
Thanks Dave. I was quite apprehensive but it wasn’t too bad at all. Getting to sleep wasn’t easy but I think that’s because I was hyped about the experience and sitting out under the stars. I’m glad I’ve given it a go. Thanks for watching
Great trip Anthony. Great way to start your wildcamping journey. Your setup looks just the job. Your video was really well put together ... really enjoyed that. Good job 👍🏼 👏🏻 ATB ... Craig
Hi Craig. Thanks very much for watching. I’d like to add a few more bits to my camping gear now I’ve decided it’s for me. Nothing too extravagant but a little table for my stove etc would be nice. Can’t rely on Mother Nature providing me with one like I had on this camp 🙂
@@Wildcamping101 I’ve seen you using that on your videos. I meant to ask where you’d got if from so thanks for that. It looks just the job so I’m going to buy one. I would like to cook my own food on some camps so a table would be ideal
Great video Anthony, looked like a great camp. I only came across your channel a few weeks ago and have really enjoyed watching the videos. Your one step ahead of me in your ventures into wild camping as I’m still waiting to take the plunge, but hopefully will soon. Keep the videos coming, great channel.
Thanks Phil and thanks for watching the videos. It’s much appreciated. Good luck with your quest to start camping. The first one is definitely the hardest hurdle to overcome. If you’re used to walking alone then you’ll be absolutely fine. I did feel very comfortable in my surroundings
@@AnthonyJohnson1 If you are like me you can't wait to get out again! Cracking spot. Sometimes I sleep well sometime I don't you just have to go with it. Look forward to seeing more ATB-Phill 🙏
hey hey you did it !! nice one Anthony fantastic first camp you couldn't of picked a better night for it looked awesome bring on the Pennine Way 😉 atb daz
Thanks Daz. I had to go once I saw the weather forecast for yesterday. The sunrise was forecast so it was great to see that on my first camp. Not sure I’m ready to camp the Pennine Way. I need to get to the gym and build some upper body strength first so I can lug the pack around!
Great video Anthony, glad you have got your first wild camp under your belt! It will be us soon, maybe even next week which is a bit of a scary thought haha. Great video, keep them coming! 👍🏻
Nice one Anthony 👍 Everyone's first solo is scary no matter what they say. Glad you had a great time. Tip, when you end up pitching on a slope, put a jacket or rucksack under the edge of your mat so you don't slip off or down the end, it just helps level you out, and obviously always make sure your head is up a slope not down. ATB. Lee
Thanks for the tip Lee. I was originally planning to go with an experienced camper for the first one but my impatience got the better of me and I thought let’s just do it solo. Glad I did as I really enjoyed the experience. Thanks for watching 👍
Great video Anthony, I still get a bit nervey depending on where I am. I've usually had a good day walk in which helps cos I'm too knackered to care by then 😊 other way round for me, thought about vlogging and more nervous about that lol. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and your trip, David
Thanks David. You’ll quickly get confidence with vlogging. It seems very unnatural to start with but as time goes on the camera almost becomes a new friend. I don’t feel like I’m camping alone when I’m filming as I’m waffling away to the camera 😆
Nice one mate....you looked like a seasoned pro! A great spot too which looked absolutely perfect for a first time. I sleep very poorly when I'm wild-camping and I'm sure it's because I like it so much and all my senses are heightened. I just can't seem to wind down. It's no big deal though and all part of the experience. Anyway, well done Anthony, I think you have gone about it in just the right way. Best wishes, Chris
Thanks Chris. I’m not sure about the seasoned pro. Deflating those bloody air mats was an ordeal this morning 😆. I think you’ve hit the nail on the head there. I was so wired myself that I just wanted to be outside enjoying the sounds and sights. I’m paying for it now though. I can barely keep my eyes open 😴
Funny you should say that, I was woodland camping. Stealth like, looked real hard to find a good spot. Set up... Fooking flies found me straight away. Still loved the camp, but it's northern edge of kinder or bleaklow next time. Keep em coming ant. Fancy doing the hadrians wall walk?
@@davidedwards4707 Funnily enough, I am looking to do a long distance trail next month as part of my training for the Pennine Way. I’ve narrowed it down to the Cumbria Way or Hadrian’s Wall. I won’t be camping though as I’m not quite ready for that yet. I would like to property backpack next year though
Ahh awesome mate!! So glad you got out and got a camp in!! Looked like a cool little spot that mate I have seen it before too on a channel 😉 Decent bit of kit you have got yourself too so all good... As much as I enjoy being with a couple of mates I like being out on my own hiking and on camps. Do love the peace and solitude of it. Its so great isnt it being out there and the stars and beyond a joke with a clear night! 😲 Looked like you had absolutely perfect conditions for it too so you were lucky there. Great job loved the video 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thanks Chris. I had to ensure I remembered the unofficial code of conduct to not mention the exact location during these strange times in the Peaks. I thought a few people would recognise it as it’s quite a unique place. I’d like to do a few camps with others as well as solo. Particularly in the summer when you can all share a beer and chat. Glad you enjoyed it Chris. Thanks for watching 🙂
@@AnthonyJohnson1 Haha yeah I am planning a camp or two this week as im off work but will have to remember that myself too, after last time 🙈😂 Yeah it is a laugh to be fair with others too, if you ever wana have a camp sometime id always be up for a night, im sure we could arrange something 😊👍🏻 You're very welcome glad you had a great time 😁🙌🏻
Hi Anthony, have also been looking forward to your solo wild camping experience, you did a grand job! Have also seen YT vlogs of clamping down on wild camping in the Peak District, so it’s always an added worry! Well done, one day we will definitely do one👍
Hi Simon. Thanks for the support. I’d highly recommend giving it a try. I think as long as you avoid the Peak District honeypot areas like Bamford Edge etc then you should be fine. Its a shame really as responsible folk do no harm up there
Thanks Hussars. I did use earplugs but I was so hyperactive due to the excitement, I just couldn’t switch off. I slept well today though back in my own bed 😆
Looks like a lovely spot Anthony! Been looking forward to this for a while, an excellent effort there! I remember my first wild camp on the Cotswold Way, accidentally wildcamped on James Dysons estate with 24 hour security! So anything is better than that 😂
Thanks Tom. I’m glad I’ve finally broken my wild camping duck. Sounds like your debut was interesting. I’m sure James Dyson would have let you off had he caught you 😆
Yahoo! Have been waiting for this one...not making a promise, but just maybe, maybe, maybe I'll be joining the ranks. A little more than nervous for me...probably more frightened! :-) Glorious sunrise indeed...a great reward. When and where will the next one be? ;-) Take care and hope you have a wonderful week!
Well done Anthony , it looked the perfect location for your first camp and yes we dont go for the sleep lol . I wouldn't have said I was nervous on my first but maybe a little anxious but it soon fades as you get the camps in. The MSR blended nicely into the surroundings, look forward to seeing you back out again soon atb Dave
Thanks Dave. I was surprised how calm I felt when darkness descended. I was far too hyper to sleep though as it was a new experience. The MSR does blend in well doesn’t it? I need to keep practicing the pitch and next time try and find some ground that’s a little less sloping 🙈
nice one mate...im guessing you have caught the bug...its been a couple of years since i went wildcamping....back in the day we never missed a month for years...good choice Roystone rocks.
@@AnthonyJohnson1 i just sort of drifted away from it...years ago there were a group of 3 or 4 of us that went out to the lake district mountains all of the time...i loved it as i was ticking off the wainwrights at the time....but after a few years it fizzled out and we ended up camping in forests , mainly Dalby area....i prefered the mountains but the others liked forest camps..it will always be the hills for me...since those days i have been a few times with the wife......watching your video and im thinking, maybe i should get back into it.
Thanks Michaela. Appreciate the kind words and for subscribing. I’m pleased with the tent so far, although I’ve not been in any bad weather with it yet. Fingers crossed it serves me well 🙂
Hi Anthony nice benign conditions for your first wild camp, guessing your going to do a bit of wild camping on your Pennine way walk, all the best nigel
Yep, the conditions were perfect for a first camp. I won’t be camping the Pennine Way though. I’d struggle to carry the extra weight for those longer days
Well done on losing your wild camp cherry, as ex army wild camping came naturally to me, the bonus point you don't have to bug out at 4 am now out of the army - would say check your pitch location beforehand as looked like there was an animal track where you said you are going to pitch, worst thing is to wake up to a heard of cows around you or a stampede of your tent
Thanks Andy. I didn’t end up pitching at the spot I mentioned as I found a better spot more out of the way near that big tree. I forgot to mention it on the video. I couldn’t see any signs that cows or sheep use that area though. I think it’s a bit too rocky for them. Having said that, they were plenty of them in fields close by! Thanks for the advice Andy 👍
@@AnthonyJohnson1 I was on the south downs way and while a pitched my tent at night realised as 4am that I parked up next to a herd of roebuck deer's, noisy animals

Love it Anthony. Great to see you finally joining the wild camping gang. I was pretty nervous on my first wild camp because it was very windy and I wasn’t sure just how much my tent could take. I used the nature hike cloud peak 2 before I got the Hilleberg but it coped well fortunately. So is it safe to say you’re a wild camping concert and this is the first of many?

Thanks very much for watching and your kind comments. I filmed this on my Sony ZV1 camera. I think I used a Go Pro to capture the time lapses though. 👍
Can you do a video on overcoming your fears when you hike and wildcamp by yourself overnight. I really want to be able to do it by myself but fear kicks in being alone in the woods, etc at night
That’s a good video idea Peter. I’ll see what I can do. I think getting used to hiking alone is a good starting point as that gave me confidence to try solo wild camping. I’ll try and put a video together on the subject over the next few weeks 👍
Thanks very much for watching Barry. The tent is the MSR Hubba Shield. I don’t think MSR make it anymore but essentially it’s very similar to the MSR Hubba NX1
👍❤🥉🥉🥉🥉🥉🥉⛺🌞 Thank you for sharing that Anthony. Somtimes it helps to use earplugs to sleep, I like the wax ones. Camping for me started as a todler in the garden then cubs, scouts, holidays, 70s free music festivals and wales ,building my own tipi and living and travelling with that, cyling to Morrocco and my first 2 week wild camping trip in 1985 and on and on and on.👍👍👍👍❤ Wel done. Kind regards
Thanks Dave. I did use some wax earplugs but I was just too excited like a kid at Christmas. I wanted to be outside looking at the moon and stars. I’m hoping I’ll be able to sleep better as I get more used to things. Having said that, I don’t mind being up most of the night if it’s a weekend. Appreciate the support kind sir 👍
Well done! I haven’t quite got the nerve up to do my first wild camping yet so well done! I’ve been to the spot you camped on a couple of times - both in bad weather (the wind tears right through there sometimes) but you had perfect weather for the camp and an amazing sunrise. As you didn’t name the location in the video I won’t name it either, but did you park in the nearby car park (named after the famous hill) and if so was your car ok next day? I think leaving my car overnight is one of the things putting me off wild camping…
Thanks Kevin. I did leave my car in the car park you’re referring to. I was nervous about leaving it overnight there too as it’s a very remote location. My car was fine this morning. There was a motor home in the same car park who stayed in it overnight too as I noticed he was there when I parked up last night. A fellow TH-camr told me about it as he’s left his car there a couple of times with no issues. It might be a decent location for you to start if you’re looking to give camping a go.
@@AnthonyJohnson1 good to hear your car was safe Anthony. Being able to leave your car there overnight opens up a number of camping opportunities. Were you tempted to camp on the famous hill itself? The big problem with that is it’s just too visible and well known. Someone may see your light and lots of people go up there. But I bet it’d be a very atmospheric (possibly spooky) camp!
@@kevinstark4294 I did take a walk over to the famous hill this morning as I’ve not been there before. It would make a good camp spot as there are some fantastic views from on there. I’d definitely go back to this area as I think it will be a fairly quiet place to go compared to all of the honeypot areas

Thanks Catherine. I’m looking forward to planning a few 2 day walks with a camp to break up the distance. Definitely need to bring the pack weight down though. I’ve got no muscle and it showed carrying that pack 🙈
Well done Anthony, excellent video, stunning views mate. 👏
Thanks Davey. Glad you enjoyed it. I had a great night. Glad it’s Bank holiday tomorrow though so I can catch up on some sleep!
Hi there, well done on completing your first wild camp. A lovely spot for it, atb Simon
Thanks Simon. Appreciate the kind words 👍
Your first solo wild camp is always special.
Great video mate
Thanks very much. It was definitely a special experience. Glad I went alone for the first one in the end as I could relax and enjoy it more 👍
Great watch!!
Think you will be a natural at the old wild camp 🏕 Glad you got out for one at last!!
Thanks Julie. it’s taken a while but I got there in the end. Looking forward to the next one now 👍
Well done on your first wild camp.
Well done mate. Looks like you were truly blessed, it looked like a gorgeous spot and beautiful morning! The first of many 👍🤙✌️
Thanks Ben. I’m so glad I picked a good weather day. I’ll leave bad weather camping until I’ve improved the pitching speed etc. The tent and bag were spot on mate. I was lovely and warm and had to leave the bag unzipped!
@@AnthonyJohnson1 glad you enjoyed it mate. You’ll soon be stringing days together
@@BenjaminWilcock I’d need to get the weight down like you do though. I wouldn’t fancy lugging that pack yesterday over 15 miles. Not without bulking up at the gym first!
@@AnthonyJohnson1 have you tried using lighterpack? It makes a pie chart of all your gear and shows you all the weights
@@BenjaminWilcock I’ll check it out. I’ve watched your thru hike kit videos and you do unbelievably well to carry such a light pack. I must pick your brains on it sometime 👍
Nice one Anthony .
Looked like you had a great time

Thanks very much. It was a great experience. Can’t wait for the next one now 👍
Nice one Anthony, I still get a little anxious at times on solo wild camps, but getting the first one out of the way is always a great feeling. 😆 @ bowling green comment, I've still been seeking that perfect bowling green pitch. 👌🏼
I like my Exped SynMat, I've got the HL version.
I was asleep
Now, it's quite common for folk to park the car and walk for only a couple of hours or even less, so getting tired isn't always possible, so if that's the case, walk in a few circles ... so you are near the car in case anything goes wrong, but are tired enough to sleep soundly.
Thanks Ray. I was a bit too warm but I definitely prefer things that way. Thanks for watching kind sir👍
@@AnthonyJohnson1 haha 😄 yeah well I've got one myself. My son used for a camp in cubs let's just say he was laying on top of it by 3am lol 😆 😂
You'll get used to it I'm sure. And before you know it you'll be in a hammock in the woods
I've been camping since I was quite young....but when you're out and about I still hear things that I can't identify....of course throw that in w/your imagination and...lol
I don't know what wildlife you may encounter out there as I'm in the States, but no worries !
Congratulations on your first solo wildcamp, it was a great video and I look forward to seeing many more. Just subscribed, all the best from NZ 👍
Thanks for much for watching and subscribing Steve. I really enjoyed this first camp and looking forward to the next one

Thanks Graham. I think I probably am. I’m trying to talk Lily into giving camping a go but she’d expect me to carry all of her kit too 😆
@@AnthonyJohnson1 great, always good to see lily, although she might take some persuading lol, if that fails blackmail or bribe her 😂
I have been looking forward to this, having seen your photos on Twitter this morning.
Well done Ant, not sure I could have done that. Looked like it all went well and the weather was good for you.
@@AnthonyJohnson1 I use the one from valley and peak. Just the job and really light weight. Cascade wild table. 👍🏼

Thanks Daz. I had to go once I saw the weather forecast for yesterday. The sunrise was forecast so it was great to see that on my first camp. Not sure I’m ready to camp the Pennine Way. I need to get to the gym and build some upper body strength first so I can lug the pack around!

Thanks chaps. Look forward to seeing your first wild camp. I’m sure you will absolutely love it. Good luck 👍
I'm watching you wild camp whilst I'm wild camping lol.
Thanks for watching David. I hope your camp is going well. You’ve got a great night for it. 🙂
I know your a lone, bird. So. Am I. Hadrians walk is not challenging, wanna do it. Together...

Its so great isnt it being out there and the stars and beyond a joke with a clear night! 😲
Looked like you had absolutely perfect conditions for it too so you were lucky there.
Great job loved the video 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thanks Chris. I had to ensure I remembered the unofficial code of conduct to not mention the exact location during these strange times in the Peaks.
