i have dry skin and have been washing my face with cold water in the morning for two years now. and since I stopped washing my face with cleanser, my skin stopped getting irritated. if u have dry and sensitive skin - less is more
you also should wait in between applying some products for them to absorb into your skin!! people rarely tell you this part. for example, after toner or before retinol
Yes! But if you use a cleanser, after you wash your face, immediately put on serum and moisturizer as your face is damp! This has actually made such a difference for me
Honestly, you just need a good cleanser, an anti-oxidant serum like vitamin C or bakuchiol, a problem-specific serum like azelaic acid, retinol, niacinamide, etc. and a moisturiser. And sunscreen of course, but this is about it. I've seen so many people overdo it with exfoliating cleanser, exfoliating toners then exfoliating serums and moisturisers with even more active ingredients in it, it's counterintuitive. You need to do what's required for your particular skin type and environment and not buy into the hype of everything lol
@@mochiso-hf5ys A cleanser, Vitamin C serum, a more targeted serum for whatever specific skin concern you have (like arbutin for hyperpigmentation or azelaic acid for rosacea), moisturiser and sunscreen. The only "non-negotiables" are cleanser, moisturiser and sunscreen but the vitamin C and targeted serum really help.
i love your clear explanations, ive been so confused w skincare bc theres like 100 different serums and steps. thank you for being such a knowledgeable and concise guide! i always look forward to your videos ♥️
Tea tree is really good for acne as well as preventing pimple. And the last one! Make your sunscreen your BFF! coz if you dont want any blackness on your face, whatever blackness it is, do wear sunscreen. Pls do wear if you haven't start using it!
Just wanted to share i have a really sensitive skin that most of serum i tried my face will end up with pimples so i stop using serum and opt to toner and light essence with whatever ingredients that help with my skin problems, essence is my savior
I suggest a micellar water that is for hydration in the morning cause you'd be surprised how much dirt can accumulate. I have dry skin so that's what I tend to use in the morning
can you create a short for order of skincare for morning routine with makeup? I don't know how much skincare to put under makeup and I feel like my sisters and cousin would also love to know this too!!
I think that we should apply sunscreen even if we arent going out the uv rays from our phone and window pane can damage our skin and I have seen many people not applying sunscreen when the sunrays are not there but still like GURL YOU NEED IT as I have uv glass so whenever i go out they get a slight tint and I went out without sunscreen once and GURL I RAN back to my house applied sunscreen applied it then out again . Hope this was helpful
Once you wash your face at night and put all your skin care products on your face. Do you need to wash your face again in the morning and reapply the products again? Thanks for all your knowledgeable informations and tips on skincare and product reviews/recommendations! Its so helpful, especially for a guy like me. Lol 🫰🫰🤣👍👍👏👏
Yep! You want to remove your nighttime skincare, as well as any sweat, oil or crumbs (lol I'm a sleep snacker) that may have accumulated throughout the night. If you have very dry or easily irritated skin skin, a quick rinse w/out cleanser or a wipedown with micellar water should do the job, then proceed to the rest of your morning routine. I hope this helps :)
@rudemaminsynek5925 @rudemaminsynek5925 Thanks for your reply! I have a combination dry oily skin. I use the same products in my night routine and morning routine. Is that okay? I use foaming cleanser, central ampoule, milk skin toner, 1025 lotion, and retin eye cream. In that order. And in the morning I use all that minus the eye cream. Lol
when washing my face with cold water in the morning, should I do it right after waking up? Won't it damage the eyes? Or should I wait like half an hour maybe?
Me Acne Prone Skin Skincare I only need 3 Foam Cleanser for cleansing Micellar Water double cleansing Moisturizer for strip off moisture For Morning just change Micellar with Suncreen but applied last so Cleanser, Moisturizer & Sunscreen in the Morning If I exceed that 3 my skin purges and Acne Pimples starts 🤣🤦🏻♀
I have kinda dry skin and still use a cleanser in the morning together with a toner, if I skip the cleanser, should I also stop using the toner in the morning? And I have two different creams for morning and Night, in the morning a moisturizer and for the night also moisturising, but also helping my skin with the acne. Should I switch these two?
New to skincare just want to ask if normal cleanser like ones in tube and cleansing oils are the same thing or have to separate in what order to use?? And also moisturizer is mean just normal lotions?
Tbh the essential one for me is my toner, not serum. I'm fine having or not having serum because my holy grail product is the toner from pyunkang yul, it soothe and hydrate my skin nicely. If I'm in hurry I can just apply sunscreen after that, the toner is really my only necessity.
i use cleanser in the morning only, then rice toner (from beauty of joseon) and at night i use the rice toner again an now my face is no longer oily in the morning!
Hello , I came across your video and really good but I'm 18 year old and I can't use a lot of chemicals and as a student I have a tight budget for my self , So please can you recommend me a not so chemical based product ......My skin is acne prone, I have a lot of black heads and white heads and what annoys me most are sebum on my cheeks ......I will wait for your video..... byeee
Seriously you don’t need a toner, essence, eye cream or a serum, unless specific skin concerns for the last one. It’s just a money grabber and most people can do fine with just a cleanser, moisturizer and sunscreen. Especially with certain skin types less is more.
any more serums you recommend for fading the dark acne spots? I've been struggling to fade those spots, I've used 3 to 4 bottles of 10% niacinamide serum already but they've showed little to no results 😕 edit : i think yt is deleting my reply, I'm sensitive to vitamin c
That just means your skin doesn't need them, or at the least all at once. You might want to check the following: 1. Products are thick for your skin. Maybe you're leaning to oily skin so you would need lighter/thinner products. Or the weather is too humid for thicker products. 2. Consider exfoliating. AHA or BHA, a few times in a week. Maybe your skin is not absorbing the products well and they just sit on top of your skin. 3. Consider limiting the steps per night. Maybe use one toner and serum per night, then alternate different serums.
Nobody is beating capitalism with this chick 😂. I'm sorry to all the people who run out and buy things she recommends when she has genetics working in her favour.
Bruh, she literally has a blemish, glaring red pimples in almost every video I've seen from her. And that is her managing it. What lore if she doesn't.

Oh yeah I wash my face at night but just rince it in the morning as my skin is super dry too
Right, I put a lot of moisturizer at night, it seems like a waste to wash it off and dry it more with cleanser in the morning.

I do the same.
Yep only cleansing in the pm helped dramatically with irritation and rosacea

@lunarialoonatic After the serum, do you apply the moisturizer right away? Or do you mix your serum to tour moisturizer?

i started using one of the vitamin c serums you recommended and it has changed my life
I would still recommend Toner during the day if you're planning on applying makeup so everything is even 👍

oooh! the new BOJ sunscreen!

hey! if im using the anua toner and a retinol at night, which one should I use first? not sure if retinol is considered a serum or not

Can you tell me how to reduce keratosis pilarisis
Lily I have early under eye wrinkles so products for my eyes are crucial 😢
What should I use for textured. I have pretty clear skin but the tiny skin coloured bumps mainly in my forehead will be the death of me.
For me serums never seem to do anything but toner/essences do 😅
I wear sunscreen instead of moisturizer whether or not I leave the house. It practically works as both.
I wish it did help... my skin only got more problematic

I saw that brand new BOJ light sunscreen 😁
I know Face sheet mask is optional but I’ve been making that step go before the eye cream/moisturizer step
My skin type is oily. What can i use for my face?
Iunik one in the video is good.

Hey !! My skin never absorbs the toner or serum, moisturizer properly....it always leaves my face sticky. What should I do...??😔
You exfoliate your skin?? Maybe thats why
Also it takes time to absorb, use products in order from thin to thick and take time let one product
retinol
Does anyone know how to figure out what skin type you have? I can’t tell what mine is 🙏🙏

Actually you should be wearing sunscreen no matter what. Even on cloudy days or at night there are still ways to be exposed to UV very easily
