Sometimes I forget the scale of those rooms until I see them from more of a distance adjacent to a window or something. Just an incredible amount of space. These two have found their TH-cam niche!
Come to think of it Philipp, Benoit, and Nathan, need to do more videos together. They all compliment each other, and all have a good sense of humor.
Just a lovely reminder that it’s best not to rush and there’s nothing that a simple snack and glass of something bubbly won’t make better!

Grew up among three generations of carpenters and learned several short cuts and funny stories. Surprised you can still walk after telling Benoit he was cheating. I too still use corded tools. Find them to be more powerful.

I cannot tell you how much I appreciate Philippe’s avant-gard approach to doing things. He is hilarious and manages expectations so well!
My husband is also German, and I love him dearly, but he’s utterly uptight about, well, everything. Lol. His approach to most things is measure 3x, then measure 7x more, cut halfway, measure again, and then finally finish the cut. 🤪. Drives me batty!

I think many people are afraid to try new things for fear of getting it wrong, wasting money or looking foolish. Watching the ‘brave’ try, learn and succeed is inspiring. Hallo Anna und Philipp. Wieder ein wunderbarer und witziger Vlog. Die Farben und der Fliesenboden im neuen Raum wirken richtig toll. Das Bärlauchpesto ist aromatischer, wenn Ihr die Blätter vor der Blüte erntet. Bei Euch ist die Natur schon sehr weit. Hier in Leipzig blüht der Bärlauch noch nicht. VG Sven.

Ooh I love pesto but I’ve never had it with wild garlic. Have you tried toasting the nuts prior to incorporating them into the pesto? Toasting nuts gives them a wonderful flavor that raw nuts cannot.
I can relate to Philipp when it comes to displaying one’s frustration. I’m not proud about it, but I can relate.😉

To take off masking tape use a hair dryer ! A little tip, if you have a roll of masking tape that has gone a bit dry you put it in the microwave for a few seconds and voila ! If the masking tape is on glass run the blade of a knife along the edge to the tape doesn't take off the paint.

I live in an old house with very wide baseboards and with renovations we needed to make a few boards to match existing ones. So when we were painting the wall I painted down a couple of inches past where the top of the board reached. No need to paint to the floor, your never going to see it anyway because it’s behind the board and therefore no need to tape at all. 🙂
After all the tension of working on the editing room (the mitred edges! the window sill base! the skirting board fisticuffs!) that glass of pear cider with Anna's wonderful looking pesto really made for the perfect ending. Tchin tchin!

Structural engineer here! The floor repair was just fine. Steel below concrete, the way Philipp did it, is ideal. I saw some comments about ways to stop concrete from falling through. You can really use anything. Plywood pressed below the opening, steel mesh, or even window screen would work well. Can’t wait to visit someday soon!

The French carpenter is harsh in his criticism, but he is a master at his trade and a perfectionist. I like that kind of worker. Hard on the husband.
Anything worth doing is worth doing the right way. Criticism is a teaching tool.
I believe Benoit goes along with the script they have worked out. Philip is always going to play the clumsy part!

I don't like yellow.. i would take it as far as i hate yellow. But that room, with that yellow paint on the wall looks fabulous! There is definitely 50 shades of gray in the world! ;) Good job!
You accidentally put your finger on it... it’s the grey in the floor tiles that counter balance the yellow and makes the whole room sing.
