This is a guy who you’d be stood next to at the bus stop and get chatting to and be staggered to find out he is a Dakar & TT legend, such an ordinary and humble racer , one in a million 🙌🏼🙌🏼👌🏼best of luck for the TT James 👍🏼😎
Yes you’re correct but keep in mind that whenever the camera is running, people put on whatever face that is required for the moment A very good friend of mine was a weapons loader for supersonic fighter jets in the Air Force. My friend told me many stories about how the pilots of these aircraft were very subdued and quiet. Not at all like Tom Cruise in the movies.
Absolutely fabulous content. Love the tyre talk and would be great to hear about further technical set up regards the TT bikes and how you prepare mentally for such an extraordinary event. Been spectating at the TT for 20 years and it still blows my mind. All the competitors are super skilled, super humble, super courageous and super human! No chicken strips on those tyres….. We are routing for you James, the podium awaits ! 🏆 followed your TT career and the incredible Dakar journey, go hard, stay safe, and enjoy what must be the the highest adrenaline rush possible, top man 🏍💨👍
That was a Quality And instructional Vid Sir James !! , especially the Metzeler gig , Thank you for taking your personal time for us !!!! , really appreciated, Have a good Pint on us !!!.
James you are definitely one of my ultimate heroes and favourites. This video is fascinating, interesting and so informative. Wishing you James all the very best for a successful race week, and safety and happiness for every competitor.
James always seems like a perfect gent but a real demon on the track. Where else would you get such modesty with such talent and bravery. Very best of luck mate for some good results.
Your TT coverage is by far my favorite. I really enjoyed the detailed discussion about tires and how you set the bike up. Some interesting topics could be: suspension setup, day to day logistics of running the team, how do you use the data you have collected to improve (you touched on this in this video) , how do you gather this data (telemetry ?), gear preparation, handling mixed surface conditions on the course (wet in some parts dry in others). Details like this give people an insiders point of view and no other riders are talking about these things in any detail. Have a great TT James.
What a brilliant close up look at the details of the bike getting ready. The Metzler tyre talk was great. I'm a racer from 1970 to 1999 so appreciate these details. Thank you for the excellent coverage from New HampShire, 🇺🇲✌️
Really enjoying these. Hearing lots of good things about Metzeler tyres, one of the travelling marshals does a vlog and he has really good things to say about them. Anyway good luck for race week..
Another great vid James. Just watched the SS race. Fantastic result first time back on the Kawasaki. Wish you the very best for the rest of the racing. Like others have said here its great to see such nice and down to earth people representing what is the pinacle of the sport. Thanks.
Really great videos - both content and production. I would love to see an explanation of how your crew deals with making all the bike changes and then getting it buttoned back up for tech approval (safety wire etc).
Great videos James, brilliant insights. Production is excellent as well, is it Dario helping out saw him in the paddock I did have a drool over your Dakar bike as well, what a thing 👍🏼
Thanks again James very interesting . Its amazing how tyres can be so interesting to learn about. Being an ex HGV I once spent another interesting day on a training course learning about lorry tyres. I must be a tyre nerd then !
Poor James. I was apart of a wedding party Sunday before practice. The bride demanded a photo with him. He didn’t no where to put him self. Rabbit in the head lights 😂😂 good luck James 👍👍✊
James, even in bright sunshine you seem to be wearing a clear visor. Is that a compromise so you can see in the shade under the trees or a personal preference? P.S. loving the videos! Really educational and filled with great insights. I now know more about tyres than I did before 😂👍🏍️
G'DAY James, you struck a chord with me last year, upfront on 'Sportsnet Bus' looking at you from Australia, LIVERY looks SMICK. Weather looking not as good, see you again next year I hope. You'll do well I feel it!
James loving the videos & insight. how do you manage your sleep during TT fortnight & in particular the night before the big races eg Superbike & Senior? thx Keith
You've got the bars set really wide, 'angled out', by the looks of it. Is that a particular TT set-up you run, or do you keep them like that also for car park racing? Cheers for this series of vids!!
James. Quick Question How do you wind down enough to sleep as you must have so much on your mind....Great insight from a riders and pit crew around the buzz of the TT..All the best mate
Great video thanks for making it and sharing. How’s TT going? Feeling strong? I love the new bike I’m really hoping it has that bit more to run at the top. How do you compare it against the BMW’s? Rooting hard for ya’ from CO, USA! Cowboy up as we say!
Obviously the ultimate aim and ambition is podium & trophies, but for many small team & privateers just finishing the week's entries and getting home in 1 piece IS a major achievement (and costs them an arm & a leg just to enter). It's very far from all about the top three.
Hm, do not actually get it ! We want Honda and why not Kawasaki and how anyone would ever choose Yamaha. And not all the crap about the rain ! There must be pistons and camshafts and even kilograms to talk about …..You journalist needs to catch up on your subject! It is motorcycles and physics and drivers …..
Best wishes for over the weekend 😊. Hope you find the special sauce, stay safe and snatch some trophies too. Stay lucky . If putting the hours in on race week wins trophies you'll be fine.🫵👊✊️🌪🌪🌪
Nice techy vlog. Loved the Lee cameo!🤣
This is a guy who you’d be stood next to at the bus stop and get chatting to and be staggered to find out he is a Dakar & TT legend, such an ordinary and humble racer , one in a million 🙌🏼🙌🏼👌🏼best of luck for the TT James 👍🏼😎
James shares a trait that all TT racers seem to have ... very small ego's it's why TT fans love them all.
Just like any road racer. No pomp or ceremony or celebrity bullshit from any of them.
Those guys are perfect role models for kids...
Yes you’re correct but keep in mind that whenever the camera is running, people put on whatever face that is required for the moment

James you are definitely one of my ultimate heroes and favourites. This video is fascinating, interesting and so informative.
Wishing you James all the very best for a successful race week, and safety and happiness for every competitor.
Love the tech. Getting into the head of a racer. Love it!
As always, informative and makes technical information accessible to the lay person - the sign of someone who really knows their stuff.
James always seems like a perfect gent but a real demon on the track. Where else would you get such modesty with such talent and bravery. Very best of luck mate for some good results.
Loving the presentation very slick..keep the videos coming 👍
Best of luck and come back safe 🙏🏻🙏🏻🇬🇧

Another good episode - enjoying the mechanics input to the vlogs - comes across really well - good luck tomorrow James
These are brilliant! So generous with sharing the insights. Absolutely lovely balance to the format. Thank you.

To say that I am blown away by both the quality and content of these videos is an understatement !
Thanks James for this video about tires and more. Greatings from jalke...(NL). Be save...!!!

Thanks James, great insight

Great videos James, loved your Dakar series also, best of luck in the races 👍
Thank you
Thanks again James very interesting . Its amazing how tyres can be so interesting to learn about. Being an ex HGV I once spent another interesting day on a training course learning about lorry tyres. I must be a tyre nerd then !
They're a VERY important component, as I'm sure you know. Just a few sq inches of contact with planet earth 🤪
An enlightening and engaging man, inspiring to see and hear modesty and intellect in consonance 👏👌👍
Thanks James, loving these behind the scenes videos! 👌
Brilliant stuff James best TT coverage out there! How do you keep your body working for two weeks hard racing?
Guiness
Great information 👍
Go James l would love to see him get a win or podium in any class at tt 24 . Keep safe 👍
Poor James. I was apart of a wedding party Sunday before practice. The bride demanded a photo with him. He didn’t no where to put him self. Rabbit in the head lights 😂😂 good luck James 👍👍✊
Great
You would think that Metzler would know how to spell TIRES!!!
Haha
Why would you want to spell it the American way 🙂?
Have a good run 🇵🇹🇵🇹🇮🇲🇮🇲
The cost of logistics for the top riders must be huge?
James, even in bright sunshine you seem to be wearing a clear visor. Is that a compromise so you can see in the shade under the trees or a personal preference?
P.S. loving the videos! Really educational and filled with great insights. I now know more about tyres than I did before 😂👍🏍️
Yes have to compromise between the bright sections and can be quite dark under the trees in places and hard for the eyes to adapt.
G'DAY James, you struck a chord with me last year, upfront on 'Sportsnet Bus' looking at you from Australia, LIVERY looks SMICK. Weather looking not as good, see you again next year I hope. You'll do well I feel it!
Nice cameo from Lee 😂
Really enjoying these videos.I would be interested to know what pressures they run in these race bikes.😀
Great series. Question, who came up with the your name design? All the best for the upcoming week.👍
Good luck for the week James. Which is your favourite corner on the track and are there any that you struggle to get right consistently ?
Private props!
Also noticed soundtrack to these videos are really cool, unlike Lee Johnston’s 😂
Where can we get the Wtf racing merchandise?
James bike looks so nasty love it looks sounds the bizz good luck mate cheers 🍻
James. Quick Question How do you wind down enough to sleep as you must have so much on your mind....Great insight from a riders and pit crew around the buzz of the TT..All the best mate
Lee's Italian accent 3:07 is better than his Irish one.
Hi, why Bitubo forks? Maxton seem popular this year, more than ever? Great vlogs too, thanks
Yes James what’s your favourite part of the TT course?
Great video thanks for making it and sharing. How’s TT going? Feeling strong? I love the new bike I’m really hoping it has that bit more to run at the top. How do you compare it against the BMW’s? Rooting hard for ya’ from CO, USA! Cowboy up as we say!
What kind of licensing and how much money would I need just to try and get a chance at a qualifying run?
LOL @ Lee Johnston.
Hi James. Is that blade a bit of a handful? You qualified 11 seconds quicker last year on the R1
Still finding my way with it. We will get there.
Very interesting ,,but I feel for the privaters they haven't got a chance 😢
Obviously the ultimate aim and ambition is podium & trophies, but for many small team & privateers just finishing the week's entries and getting home in 1 piece IS a major achievement (and costs them an arm & a leg just to enter). It's very far from all about the top three.
James, how do you get hold of your hot sauce?
Racing costs money
But what about Peter hickman 😊
Hm, do not actually get it ! We want Honda and why not Kawasaki and how anyone would ever choose Yamaha. And not all the crap about the rain ! There must be pistons and camshafts and even kilograms to talk about …..You journalist needs to catch up on your subject! It is motorcycles and physics and drivers …..
What the actual fuck are you talking about? You have written a lot of words without actually saying a single thing.
What the hell are you talking about?😂😂
Loving the content, all the best James.
Best wishes for over the weekend 😊. Hope you find the special sauce, stay safe and snatch some trophies too. Stay lucky . If putting the hours in on race week wins trophies you'll be fine.🫵👊✊️🌪🌪🌪
