A good friend of mine (born and lived 30+ years in Canada) moved to the States for about 10 years with his American wife. They split up and he moved back. The first thing that struck him was how slim and fit most Canadians are in comparison to what he was used to seeing in the Midwest.

Regarding health insurance, you’re covered under your parents’ plan(s) until you’re 25. If you don’t have a job and when you retire, you get free health care. In AK, anyone with at least 1/16 Native Alaskan or Native American ancestry gets free healthcare. Not sure about the lower 48, but I hope every state does the same, especially any states near/with reservations. Though I think everyone’s better off growing their own food and being wary of hospitals for now... Unless the world is ending, then rack up those bills!

Yes, that's the boneyard the US military uses for surplus aircraft.

To answer your question (I can't speak for Australia) about Americans travelling to our country.. they like to joke about coming to Canada for 'free' health services but it's my understanding unless they have a provincial health card they do not get treated for free here.

Poverty in both countries has gone up, while billionaires have doubled every 5 years or so.
The people who can't afford the insurance for health care coverage have often died instead of loading down the family with debt.
The one change was the Federal insurance program that was introduced, but still there are people who can't afford it.
Military budget in the US is the largest expenditure of all Federal costs.
The minimum wage in the USA is $7.50/hour which is unlivable, so homelessness has grown exponentially.
There are homeless people in Canada, some do get very minimal financial support, $650/month for all expenses in BC where this guy came from.

I still refuse to use Amazon. I buy local for everything I need. These businesses need the income, Amazon certainly doesn't.

Moved to the U.S. from Canada in my mid 20s due to marriage. Lived there for 12 years and have great friends who are American. A lot of things I liked about the U.S. but do not regret moving back to Canada. The things I could not get used to:
    1. The gun culture is something I could never understand.
    2. The political climate is so toxic. Are you a lefty or a right-winger?
    3. The health care is excellent, but unfortunately the care you are entitled to is often dictated by the insurance companies. US healthcare is a big business.
    4. The education system is inadequate, especially in larger cities.
It’s a great country but I was happy to come back to Canada. 🇨🇦🥰

well glad you liked it but you dont need to understand gun culture bc canada didnt fight for its independence they stayed subservient to the british til like 1850s or 60s maybe longer actually, the usa fought for independence and one of the things that set it off was the brits started burning all of our firearms, now it is law that we shall bear arms as we want. nobody can take them from us

@@chrisvibz4753 This attitude towards guns is very foreign for most Canadians. Canada's historic mantra has been law, order and good government. This is why there was no wild west in Canada. In fact, Canadian police went west very early to prevent gun toting Americans from crossing the border and causing trouble.

@@lovehandr well canada just remember who defenda your country with norad. maybe we should lobby to quit protecting such a bad neighbor. we still have the death penalty for murderers if thats not law and order idk what is. and if you had any brain youd know the only crime that happens in the usa is in liberal cities. the red states have less crime by a long shot. it doesnt matter if canadians let their rights be taken from them, thats ok bc now you have a nazi sympathizer in office who applauded a literal SS member. good luck my friend. wish we didnt protect you anymore, yall obviously dont appreciate it.

On the second instance, he returned to Canada after he had become an American citizen. This is exactly why we created the Mounted Police, to keep trouble makers from crossing the border. These type of videos annoy me because both countries are huge and have large variations within in them. Unfortunately these videos get more clicks, the more general they are. For example, a "Canada compared to USA" video will get more clicks than a "Winnipeg compared to Minneapolis" video.
