NOTE: Game 12 (Chaos Wars - 1:06) is incorrectly documented; the year of release is 2008, and the metacritic score should be 64. Thanks @shaman xeed for catching this!
Played exactly ONE of these games... probably for a reason. PS2 must the console with the largest library of games by far.... which means a lot of crap. Though one man's trash is another man's treasure.
I recommend Dino Stalker (number 24). You play as a WWII pilot that teleports to the dinosaur world, slowly figuring out his means of escape and the world around him
I love your PS2 list....that was the last console I owned, and there were hundreds of games to choose from....not to mention the PlayStation magazine with demo disks....that's where I discovered Ape Escape, my all time favorite.....great job...
Games on this list I have: Dual Hearts Evergrace Radiata Stories Nightmare of Druaga The PS2's library is the gift that keeps on giving, it's totally wild
@@Joshua_N-A Yeah, demos were a big thing back then, because there were no internet video reviews, so it was the best way for developers to have players check out their game. You could buy/rent demo discs, they'd come in magazines as freebies, or even within other games. For example in Crash Bandicoot 3 on PS1, if you entered a code on title screen, you could play demo of Spyro the dragon. And then, if you love a game from the demo disc, but can't find it in your town, you end up replaying same short gameplay over and over again lol
@@Krlja Yep I remember the days of "this game never made it to a store in my town". You'd jusrt have whole sections of gaming cut off depending where you were, not like today.
First thing new to your channel absolutely love it game list videos are awesome the best I've ever seen honestly 2nd the intro features a quick tune where have I heard that lol
Thanks and welcome to the channel! I am glad you are enjoying the videos! The opening theme for this particular video is one of the "stings" from South Park - which usually plays at the start of every new scene.
Wizardry VI, true definition of a hidden gem. I have it but I still need to make a DVD image to play it more often because I don't want to shorten the life of the console's lens.
I cried watching this video and remembering my childhood , I played almost all these games and many others. Thanks friend !! you made me NOSTALGIA and actually King of console is PS2
@@GaryRetroGamer Hey brother so happy I nailed the South Park I.d. Ya PS2, my collection of CDs n vinyl of 80s n 90s music South Park n my cat actually make my 40's bearable. Gary have you played The Kings Field series? Groovy stuff imo. :-)
There were so many ps2 games back in the day. every time I went to the game store a new ps2 title would apper. used to buy second hand. shadow hearts, shadow of memories, clock tower 3, evergrace, haunted grounds, bloody roar 4 ect. so many
... Not even a minute in and I'm already crying... at the fact that Ape Escape 3 is very obviously on the list... my first ever Ape Escape game and barely anyone knows about the series minus the first game... it makes my heart ache. Also, I have the Tokobots game, Splashdown, Stuntman Ignition, AND Dokapon Kingdom! :) (Side note: I have Dokapon Kingdom for the Wii, and all the rest of the games mentioned I have for PS2)
World war zero was such a fun game! A game I've never seen in these compilations is stealth force 2. Sometimes I feel like I'm the only person to ever finish that game lol. Do note that I haven't watched all videos so it might be in another one.
i play it, chaos wars, casual turn base, it's more easy to learn the gameplay, but a bit tricky, because you must level up all of your character, because there are some event that you must 1 v 1 enemy, and you don't have any option rather than win it, you can't level up (grinding item or leveling) when that event come.
ape escape 3 , good game! ghost master the gravenville chronicles, finished it 3 times resident evil dead aim, played it, never finished it seven samurai 20xx such an underrated game. ty the tazmanian tiger, nice game all else.. yeah never heard of them before
Actually, my first ever COD game I ever owned was WAW: FF. Even though it’s not one of the best COD games ever, it still is a good game. Wish it at least had the Zombies game on there :/
i saw 5 games that need to have com back and remastered in your list game that i have that was unstable on the ps1 or 2 like say ,,ape escape 3 ,half life ,and 3 more that i my look in to
Cocoto fishing master is a terrifying game. I was scared to play it as a child cause the fish designs scare me. To this day I still feel uncomfortable with it
Hey, that side-scrolling space shooter towards the end looked pretty cool. Even though the genre is a bit dated, a good one can be fun and immersive. >blowing dust away from PS2< Amazon here I come!
Hi found this video recently and I find it a bit funny that the first game i got on ps2 by my parentes was cell damage overdrive. I know that i've also played ape escape 3
I am at my wits end can anyone help me find this PS2 game i played so long ago at a friends house. I believe it was a turn based strategy game where you command characters or heros, i cant remember if they were mercenaries or not. There was a mechanic where you could give the rewards to your group or keep it all to yourself, i think it would make them hate you if you decided to keep all the rewards. I think there might have been either a Native American with a wolf or a barbarian as a unit you command. It was a fantasy setting, and a isometric top down view, i also think units moved between tiles. Thats all i could really remember.
Can someone help me? There's a game that I can't remember the name of. All I remember, it was futuristic (kinda like F-zero?) bike racing, with a girl (or guy?) in blue on the cover art. It was before 2004 I think on the PS2
Can I make a suggestion your game lists are so superior to others I've seen could you do a list of scary creepy eerie games list for PS2 PS3 and any other console you want I've been trying to to find list of scary games for PS2-3 but most have the standard list RES E SHill and so on that would be great and a shooters list for PS2 or 3 would be cool just a suggestion
That's an excellent idea and one I've pondered for a looong time. The XBox/PS2 generation was a golden age for horror games that extended for a little bit into the Xbox360/PS3 generation. I've avoided doing "themed" lists thus far - but who knows? I may get to it soon...thanks for the feedback!
Idk if y'all remember this I hope u do tho there was this game where this guy had a mission to go to a I think pizza place to stomp on roaches or something it's basically a violent street game can anyone remember what's it called?
Ape Escape and Jak X are considered obscure? On the other hand, I own Dragon Rage and Future Tactics...and frankly, they should have stayed obscure. I would point out that several of these showed up as demos on Playstation Underground and the like. So people may have 'played' them, just not the full games. Edit: I'm guessing a couple of these, like Half-Life and Rogue Trooper are on here for the PS2 *versions* being obscure, rather than the game itself.

Actually D.O.N is really popular in my country, Indonesia.
