  • My most recent motorcycle road trip. Join me on my Honda Valkyrie as we ride the Texas Hill Country to the The Twisted Sisters aka The Three Sisters. I stayed 1 night in a haunted hotel. Did I see any ghosts?

    Good evening, Kevin. My girlfriend from long past & her husband now live in Texas. After seeing this (don't know how I missed it 🤔) and talking to her on phone, I was in awe of the beauty Texas has to offer. With her coaxing & this video it's making my plans for moving to a warm state more welcoming. Thank you for sharing. Ride safe and totally agree: "The journey is more important than the destination"...with views like that and no *snow OMG! God's country 🥰❤ *MN

    You hit the nail square on the head! If you ride a motorcycle and all you are looking for is the destination, you might as well fly or take the car. I have tried to make this point with many bike owners and perspective buyers. Don't buy a bike thinking you'll save gas, ride to work, and so on. You might ride to work or the store, but don't use that as a reason to buy a bike. It's not transportation, it's a fun machine. A mental health aid. When the garage door closes, my adventure begins! Day ride or "out west" 6K ride, the fun switch is flipped! I enjoy all your videos. I think my Wife and I might do this as a late fall trip. The Valkyrie looks great and sounds like a Porche. Wish I could make my GL 1800 sound like that!

    I just got back from this trip yesterday. I hadn’t seen this video before but man I felt that same way. With me taking this trip and doing the three sisters during the week, I was spoiled because I didn’t see any other vehicles and the whole trip was awesome. My Barrett Texas Hill Country map was an awesome also a great asset.

    Did the sister’s in 2018, great ride. Great video but the sights are even more spectacular than what was shown. Encourage all to do the Three sisters, they won’t regret it.

    I love the Sisters! I love Rocksprings. I will do this ride on my motorcycle one day. I’m a weirdo who loves the backroads even from my vehicle. The point-of-view from the drone is beautiful.

    Great video and depiction of the beauty and joy of the Three Sisters which is also known as the Twisted Sisters, Farm to Market roads, FM 335, 336, 337. Set aside a day to fully enjoy the roads. While it can be traversed in half a day (to include a meal in Bandera, Medina, Leakey, Utopia, to mention a few), I suggest making a day or weekend out of it. Weekend riding is ok if you like hanging out with hundreds of riders, I prefer M-F when the road network is all mine.

    This is my favorite hill country ride. Next time you are riding in the area be sure to stop by Garvins Store at the corner of 41 and 83. They have the best chopped beef sandwich in Texas!

    Kevin, I know it's been awhile since you made this video, but I really enjoyed it. I lived in Del Rio TX for a couple of years when I was in the Air Force stationed at Laughlin AFB. (1983-85). Do you still have your Valkyrie? I have a 2000 Valkyrie Interstate and a 94 Goldwing . I really enjoy both and wouldn't part with them for the world. Hoping one day to ride the Twisted Sister's. 👍

    New to your channel. liked the video and as a Valkyrie will be my next bike I love watching videos of them. My 80 Honda cb 900 is worn out. Do you have the same riding and travel videos on you channel without the music tracks, just the sound of your bike? I haven't found them but some people have them in a different section of their channel. Thanks and keep up the good work. I feel safer even after the 30 years of riding from watching you riding tips videos. Thank you for sharing

    Awesome edit! Just started motovlogging and have an edit of twisted sisters and have to say you did an amazing job with everything. Love the dialogue, edit sequence and music choice. Well done sir!
    Question, what drone was it?

    • @MCrider
      @MCrider  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you I appreciate it. It was a Hexo+ drone. It is Ok but has a lot of problems and poor support from the manufacturer.

    • @ConnorFXDB
      @ConnorFXDB 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ah bummer. It has really good quality. Were you operating it or did you have a friend or relative assisting while you rode

    • @MCrider
      @MCrider  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +ConnorFXDB the Hexo is an auto follow drone. It follows your smart phone...when it is working right.

      WHAT!!! Thats awesome! Im def going to have to look into it! Sucks that you said the customer service isn't great regarding trouble shooting issue. But def a cool concept! Ride safe!

      Richard Hale that’s the main sister road probably the best

  • @johnmiller5629
    @johnmiller5629 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    You probably should stop using the GPS since, during your ride of the twisted sisters, it appears to have dragged you through Goldthwaite, TX once and Fredericksburg, TX twice, once NW to SE and the second SE to NW, both or which are not really anywhere near your path. I only point this out as I was trying to find to locate a particular piece of scenery in your video using Google Maps. When I wasn't able to do so, I decided to find the towns you rode through and work from there. Once I realized the scenery might be just anywhere in central TX, I gave up. But really, is the scenery along the twisted sisters ride not enough by itself?
