Looks like I'm the first one to talk to you! I know you probably all ready figured this out, I always got a tent with at least a two some time three times what I would need for just the reason you found out, you got to put your stuff some where, especially if its raining out. Enjoy your adventure, love listen to you.😍
Wow Laura 70 dollars for a campsite? That is really high almost highway robbery! What were the tent shaped objects behind you in your video? Looks like all the plants over there are covered in some type of thorn that is looking to get you, Thanks again for taking all of us on vacation with you its been a wonderful time, as always be safe.
A good start. You should follow Stacy’s Ride To Food videos and pattern some off of them. A general explanation of where you plan on going, narrative as to stops along the way (she adds narrative later), good stop spots, lots of scenery overnight adventures, etc. much less music and selections that aren’t over the top and volume of narrative a lot louder than the music and you’ll be on your way to a large following group.
That is God's country out there. I found under the highway bridges to be great camping spots on my road trip out there, protected from the wind and any rain and no one bothers you under there. I spent 3 weeks and rode 4000 miles and traced the border as close as I could all the way to NM. You won't find prettier country. Did you see Langtry?
enjoying the series. we are in the panhandle of texas, and need to make a trip down there to Big Bend. Any planning suggestions, tips tricks or suggested time of year to make that trip?
That’s exciting! Here are a few suggestions: - if you’re camping in the park, book your site in advance 😅 - Route 170 is worth doing twice if possible. The views were INCREDIBLE and I kept stopping at pull offs to take it all in. It would have been nice to take it all in one shot as well. - When I went, there were some incredibly strong winds in sections. - There were quite a few people either towing bikes or on bikes, so if you run into trouble on the road, there’s plenty of people who would likely help you out! - I went in early April which actually seemed like the best time to go. While the campgrounds were full, the roads and pull offs were still pretty quiet and there weren’t any crowds anywhere. Plus the temperatures were hot mid-day, but not overwhelmingly so. Hope that helps!
I concur, the eastern part of west virginia is fantastic riding. I've ridden some diverse areas and think is some of the best in the east. I ride there as much as I can. Western west virginia not so much. I rode dirt bikes in Berlin guards in 2018 and really enjoyed it, would love to go back an spend more time there. Definitely overpriced since most places are the only place around and you don't have a choice.
i know very well Terlingua...70bucks for what? some people are just scamers....really, while you could camp for free at Indian Head park..well youre learning the hard way... great video Laura.. keeep on going
This could have been a wonderful video. Great scenery, attractive young lady on a great motorcycle. It is nearly impossible to hear and understand her narrative because the music is so loud. The music much to loud. The video editor managed to ruin what could have been a great video.
Thanks again, Laura. It was a great video!! Be safe
Enjoying your videos of your trip be safe & keep Ridin in the Wind 😎😎

Agreed! What a rip off, haha! Those were rentable A-frames. Over $200 a night to rent those though….

I've always wanted to make it to the Terlingua Chili Contest. I'm really enjoying your stories.
Thank you!! I’ve never heard of the Chili Contest but now I’m intrigued. Perhaps I’ll add it to my bucket list too. 😆

Agreed, haha! 😆
I think you should consider West Virginia on one of your next trips.. I feel a person like you would love it here.
Thanks for the recommendation! I really appreciate it. 😊

Tell me about it! Nothing beats the $90 I paid to camp on gravel in the Florida Keys 😩
