      As circular nozzles thrust vectoring provides more maneuverability than square nozzles or rectangular nozzles. But still F 22 Raptor is the most maneuverable fighter jet. Due to the reason, US, China and UK are also manufacturing engines which has square nozzles for their their respective fighter jets FAXX, J20 and BAE system's TEMPEST. And thrust vectoring control can provide extra maneuverability and 2D nozzles can also enhance stealth capabilities of the fighter jet also it helps to reduce IR signature. 3D nozzles are often believed to be capable of providing more thrust angles than 2D nozzles, as F-22's 2D nozzles can only move vertically but 2D nozzles can also move horizontally to provide horizontal thrust when so designed which is missing in the F 22 Raptor and that's what again US, UK and China are developing this technology for their upcoming or current fighter jets.
      If India is making a deal with Rolls Royce then India must ask for square or rectangular nozzles for AMCA's engine as Rolls Royce is already manufacturing an engine with square nozzles for their Tempest fighter. Rolls Royce is also adding sound energy and heat energy absorbing materials in that engine which can be reused to power two generators which provide electrical energy to all the electronics in that plane. Also the engine is going to be an adaptive cycle engine which can mold itself according to all the geographical conditions.
      That's why I think, if ADA, DRDO and HAL ask for such technologies to the Rolls Royce to be integrated in the engine to be developed for the AMCA, then it can definitely enhance the capabilities and stealthy nature of the fighter jet and can bring AMCA on the next level.
      What do you think, should AMCA have square nozzles with 3D thrust vectoring?

      Now the stealth mode is mainly required for countries like US, Russia which continuously play tom and jerry games now and then, ex flying over each other's airspaces in midnights just to observe their military movements. India is mostly not involved in these dirty games. Stealth mode is not a priority for IAF. So we can mount 14 weapons on external hardpoints + 4 on internal hardpoints which is more than sufficient.

The AMCA is a twin-engine, multirole, 5th generation fighter jet that will have advanced stealth features, supercruise capability, data fusion, and multi-sensor integration. The AMCA will be the first 5th generation fighter to enter service with the IAF, and it will also incorporate some 6th generation technologies over time. A F-grade student does not become A-grade student overnight. AMCA will never be successful. A country that has not manufactured a single jet engine for its planes is not going to manufacture 5th generation plane in 5 years. The budget of $2 billon is way too less. It will take at least $5 billion in precision manufacturing technology. There is a reason that only US makes a true stealth plane because it is the only country that has the money to invest in precision manufacturing tech. Russia and China make their stealth planes with a hammer, which means no stealth at all. That is what India is doing. The plane will only look stealthy but radar will catch it.

For long distance shots electronic warfare also plays a role, but I think technology advances matter more in long distance shots. Visual range combats are almost dead. Why not square nozzles for thrust vectoring?

    • @user-jg6ow2pq4p

      You r seeing rendering image not the actual one

    • @KBail7579
      @KBail7579 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Basically the square shaped nozzles that you see on a F-22 cannot 3D thrust vector. It can only limit it to 2 axes X & Y which a Su-30 MKI can already do. But it hides the IR signature better than a circular nozzle which is an advantage for lower RCS & heat signature but reduced maneuverability.

    • @deepalikhandagale4146
      @deepalikhandagale4146 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@KBail7579 Still F 22 Raptor is the most maneuverable fighter jet. 3D nozzles are often believed to be capable of providing more thrust angles than 2D nozzles, as F-22's 2D nozzles can only move vertically but 2D nozzles can also move horizontally to provide horizontal thrust when so designed which is missing in the F 22 Raptor and that's what again US, UK and China are developing.

    • @KBail7579
      @KBail7579 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@deepalikhandagale4146 Maneuverability is not solely on 2D or 3D engines. It is a combination of the air-frame, engine thrust (TW ratio), Engine nozzles vectoring. For instance, the Su-27 body is built like an Excalibur - The Center of Gravity is so far behind in it's air frame unlike its contemporaries of that time in the West - F15, like a sword it points its nose towards an air adversary relatively easier and even at low speeds with Thrust vectoring. The 1996 Bangalore airshow which showcased the Soviet era Su-30 is a perfect example of a heavy fighter with 120 deg of AOA sustainability non-thrust vectored, the Western fighters of those times would stall beyond 90 deg. So the West made better engines to offset for this loss especially into the F-22 which has to propel a bulky 38t fighter. Also the West emphasises on stealth characteristics - RCS & IR detection. The Russian doctrine is to evade even salvos of A2A BVR missiles, invade the adversary's flight envelope and engage in a medium to short ranged Dogfights which the West despises. Hence the no of F-22 were curtailed to ~180+ when the actual plan was for 800+. Along with large ground based radars that produce greater kilowatt to detect low observable aircrafts like F-22/35, stealth gets compromised.
      And always the nose of the rocket propels in the opposite direction to the thrust applied. Hence the asynchronous 3D nozzles (360 deg rotation) of a Su-35/57 or a Mig-35 coupled with the base Su-27 & Mig-29 bodies are a force to reckon with.
      Please don't purely go by biased news reports like CNN/BBC/Discovery or video games that over glorify stealth as though they are invisible an hence invincible. The Western fighters are up there with their relative strengths and likewise the Russian fighters with theirs.

      @@KBail7579 I am not biased. Even Russia also proposed mig 41 which has square nozzles like F 22. In fact its a 6th generation fighter.
