    Great tip. For me, textures have to be just right, so porcelain was the perfect option. I also put non-slip feet on the dish. Thus, it doesn’t scratch my sewing table, migrate away, etc. The same design works great for wonder clips too. Consider rare earth magnets - they’re cost a bit more, but then you can pretty much throw pins in the general direction of the dish (keep your eyes on your stitching line) and they’ll find their home. Looking forward to more cool ideas.
