The GPW-2000 still holds the crown for me. So much more sophisticated. I would love a GPW-3000 ONLY if it has GPS. As you know there are very few G-Shocks with '3 way sync'.
Great review. It just happens to be exactly what I'd want in an analog G Shock, so I love it. Easy to read analog time, lightweight and comfortable, dual time, and no battery draining functions that I personally wouldn't use much. However, your negatives are all good points. The main one I agree with is the caseback - I also prefer those on the previous Gravitymasters.
I’ve always loved G shocks. I’ve had loads- when I used to tire of one after a few years I would give it away so I could buy myself a new one from the range. I’ve always had digital. I don’t mind the ones with hands, but if they are going for that, just have the hands and easy to read, and don’t have the silly and useless sub dials which do nothing and just busy up the display? It’s my pet peev with Casio that with G shocks they see a small area of the watch face that’s not ‘occupied’ and they just HAVE to fill it up with a step dial lcd timer that nobody will ever use? Just leave it out and let the dial be spacious. Give it nice big easy to read hands, and a small digital function for alarms etc. that’s it. Perfect. You don’t have to fill every single millimetre of the dial.
There are actually people that do use stopwatch, timer, alarms. And almost every G-Shock has these functions. If you want a simple clean 3-hand analog watch, buy something else than a G.
They needed to jam it together with the grb200 instead of leaving out all the functions but you'd prob have to charge the thing in an outlet to get all that out of one battery🎉
I have the GPW 2000, picked one up mint for 250 GBP. They are unreal, always links to GPS, is big yet very comfortable on wrist. Is built like a tank, and oooohhhh my the backlight is super bright and the lume is seiko style. Cant fault the old one, feels like a proper tool watch that could take a proper beating. Not sure I would give it up for the new B300
Can anyone confirm the stopwatch stops and resets after 24 hours. I don't want to test it on the grb300 and the greentext is missing from the manual that states it. The gstb100 is written out that way but they either forgot to add it to this one or for some reason left it running and didn't need the additional greentext from the manual.
my only actual complaint is I dont think the am/pm indicator was configured correctly on mine its like 15-30 minutes off to one side at noon/midnight and you can't adjust it.
I got the Blue and Grey version, but I gotta say I still prefer my GW-A1100. It's completely self-reliant, whereas this one needs to be synced with BT to get time adjusted. My GW-A1100 is still King of daily wear for me even after 8 years of ownership.
*If it had the ability to illuminate the entire dial (backlight?) as the GPW-2000 does, it would almost be perfect. But honestly, the dial of the GWA-1100 is far superior and asthetic than the GPW-2000. The GWA-1100 is my favorite analog watch of all time to read time on. As far as technology goes, the GPW-2000 holds the belt. Nothing beats GPS with Multi-Band 6. BTW, I seldom sync my GPW-2000 to my phone, choosing rather to rely on its Wave Ceptor capability of synchronization with the radio time signal from the broadcast radio station.*
Personally I think that Gravitymaster GRB300 has nothing to do with the king, GPW2000....that's just a different category, GPW2000 is a heavyweight. Everything I see is just a cheapening....GPW2000 has been a masterpiece, this GRB300 is just a shadow of something it could be. I'm really sure that thing doesn't goes into my collection....I'm really not sure does that thing deserves a Gravitymaster name thank you for this video
I am a first time middle+upper end g shock owner. Have😢 rangeman 9400-3 and 9400-1B) and those are $330 retail. I suppose the Bluetooth connectivity is cool if you’re actually a pilot otherwise you’re better off with a tough solar GA-1000 1A? Or something without a multi/triple function yeah?
@@JiuJitsu_MarineLook dude, I think you should actually ask yourself what actually you need, and why...and what does it means ''cool''?? If you're buying watch because you want to be cool, don't buy it, you're wasting your money. Rangeman 9400 isn't even close being middle-upper.
@@JiuJitsu_Marine Mike, this video isn't about the Rangeman, it's about the Gravitymaster which is not a Gravitymaster (between us, a Rangeman is a middle upper for you but it's really not a middle upper by any means, even though I absolutely love the Rangeman...a budget is one thing, a facts is another thing)
Happy to have 2x GPW-2000 in the stable. The new model is really a downgrade and no more unique function. Casio seems to be focusing on having models that are pretty much the same in terms of function and with different cosmetics.
Get a used GPW-1000/2000 instead and roll with the high end G's instead. This should be nicknamed the gravity cadet. Ain't no master! (Sick video editing btw. Really swish!)
Sexy as hell watch.. Especially the first responder edition w/ red accent.. However, I can’t justify the price tag of $300 without a triple functional ABC button on it.
At this point my interest in the channel is the end of my involvement with G-Shock, bc I now have a smartwatch. G-Shock insane number of model releases is a curse, you are scared of buying one only to discover a better one exists or is released soon after. And as comments said, the reaction to smartwatch brands is either to be cheap... OR expensive 'premium'. But nothing can stop ppl turning into smartwatch users, especially Apple. It's soon becoming as essential as a phone, with venue access, transit, payment, etc. Back in the day ppl used mechanical watches. And they still exist for tiny niche markets like luxe... Times, they are a-changin'. Again.
Good luck if you have a power outage and can’t charge your “smartwatch”. I like having a watch I don’t to run home to charge at the end of the day before it dies, or it becomes obsolete because of lack of updates after three years. Also, it’s freeing not to be always connected. If the grid goes down, my watch will keep going. Yours won’t.

when is casio is going to bring a new gravity master? Like the GPW2000
How can i know the battery level on GRB300??
They say it has battery level indicator
press the bottom right button. or connect it to the app. itll display automatically.
